Most notable match in the opening round of the lower bracket saw tp.uSports face another CIS team, KerchNET. In a close three map series, KerchNET came out on top 2-1 (14-16 de_inferno, 16-13 de_nuke, 16-12 de_train)
First map de_inferno opened up with the Ukrainians continuing solid counter-terrorist play from their earlier match against DELTA as they secured a three round lead at half with a score of 9-6 with good play across the board.
tp.uSports mounted a comeback in the second half as they went up 7-0 before KerchNET could reply with two rounds. From there on out each round seemed close, with Sergey "Fox" Stolyarov losing two close one-on-two situations with an AWP as KerchNET brought the game back to 14-15. In the end tp.uSports scored the winning round and won the map 16-14.
Play resumed on de_nuke after a short break with tp.uSports' Eduard "ED1K" Ivanov getting three USP headshots to secure them the pistol round. The entire half was very back and forth with the other Stolyarov brother Mihail "Dosia" Stolyarov continuing great play as his team scored eight rounds.

KerchNET prevailed in a close series against tp.uSports
Terrorist side pistol round of tp.uSports went their way as well, this time thanks to three kills by the other Stolyarov. The Russians won the following two rounds, but KerchNET tied it all up at 11-11 with four straight round wins. It seemed as if neither team could pull away as they still stood tied four rounds later at 13-13, but just then the Ukrainian side won three in a row to win the map 16-13 and force a third map in the series.
It all came down to de_train where KerchNET secured an early 2-0 lead by winning the counter-terrorist pistol round, but tp.uSports won the next four before they could reply, 3-4. The Russian side won the next round to make it 3-5, but after that were completely shut down as KerchNET won seven straight rounds to make it 10-5 with "bondik" leading the way with a 19/8 score.
The last half of the series started off with KerchNET winning yet another pistol round, but tp.uSports' star player Stolyarov got four kills with a Scout on the third round to get his team in the game. Rounds were traded up until the score was 12-14 in favor of the Ukrainians, but they ultimately came out on top and won 12-16.Result
