Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Inferno Online will together with SteelSeries host a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament on August 25-26 with €3,500 in cash and products on the line.

The tournament will take place in the Stockholm facility, to be more precise in Stockholm E-Sport Arena. €3,500 will be up for grabs in cash and all of it will go to the winning team. Runners-up and third placed team will win products from SteelSeries.

CS:GO tournament at Stockholm E-Sport Arena

Not much info about the tournament, which is named SteelSeries GO, is available but teams wanting to participate should email go@infernoonline.com to show their interest.

The format, as well as maximum of teams allowed in has not listed. Stay tuned for more information about the tournament and do you find it likely that NiP will show up on their home field?

It's cool to have events popping up but I wish Valve would get their act together and get a working spectator system for the game. HLTV had the stupid jumps due to slow motion (I suppose) and sourceTV was extremely laggy and terrible overall at least for me.

Also I hope that some of the maps will be remade since I feel current versions of maps like d2 are way too small in some areas. Of course many of the maps resemble their CS:S counterparts but I feel they should be changed and made more 1.6 scale to improve gameplay.

Totally agree on your first point, Valve pioneered with HLTV, but then left it to rot, they should really do a proper system for CS:GO.
2012-08-16 15:08:20
And then have less viewers on the streams?
2012-08-16 17:48:50
it depends on how you view it, if you could advertise in-game there would be no need for streams.

streams will always be crap for FPS games anyways.
2012-08-16 18:50:12
Players from big orgs are required to stream their games.
2012-08-16 20:33:56
POV streams are cool but I'm talking about 5vs5 broadcasting, its much better watching games in-game not via stream, you miss so much action on the streams.

true
2012-08-16 20:43:02
valve could implement something like their dota2 spec system. their autodirector is on a delay and switches to a certain POV a few seconds before a kill.

if they can get something similar to work for GO then it would be awesome
2012-08-16 22:43:44
That's what they are doing for CSGO, implementing the DoTA2 spectator mode!
2012-08-16 23:27:53
+1. CS Promod maps perhaps.

Well it is fine that you wish to live in a fantasy world where CS 1.6 is still included in all major events, but that isn't the real world, if we do not expand to cover other games we shut down the site, it is simple as that. By covering CS:GO we can also keep covering the CS 1.6 events that may popup.

So accept it, or find another CS 1.6 coverage site.
2012-08-16 15:22:30
its called inception :P
2012-08-16 16:16:27
Very much agrééd, what is the point in all this brainless whining ?
2012-08-16 16:39:40
Challenge accepted :)
2012-08-16 17:49:38
boy, if all businesses were runned like that:
"accept the way it is or leave"

btw, i agree with the other stuff u said
2012-08-16 18:57:06
they are all run like that

accept the changes or move on to a different product
2012-08-16 22:45:42
maybe in Russia..
2012-08-16 22:58:31
name one company that survived by sticking to the old ways of doing things and refusing to innovate or grow
2012-08-16 23:01:41
whats that got to do with what i was saying? name one company that ever succeeded by saying to their costumers: "If u dont like, search for other company" or whatever...

companies that dont listen to their customers' ideas and do what they want instead

company - specific example
apple - iphone 5
microsoft - xbox 360
gm - EV1
paramount - star trek reboot casting
viacom - sale of many theme parks
henson company - pulling toys from chickfila
lucas film - star wars in general

companies that listened to their customers and failed because of it

new line cinema - snakes on a plane
microsoft - zune
coca cola - new coke
universal - scott pilgrim (good movie, bad idea)

thats off of the top of my head

i'm kinda tired of these brainless haters
2012-08-16 15:42:46
you must be patient against us who support CS1.6, regardless what we writing here. Almost 65K people followed competitive CS scene, and still follow. Some one is part of this site only because of CS1.6 almost 4-5 years, and you would banned him because he wrote "Fuck CS:GO"? But if i was instead of you, i would closed this site. Maybe with covering CS:GO, HLTV.org will attract new people who plays COD, Source, teamFortress and others game, because all of it, has in CS:GO.. But one remember, HLTV.org with CS:GO will never be as HLTV.org with CS 1.6.
Now with your procedure you made site full with hating, instead site of loved game, CS1.6 boys versus CS:GO,Source boys. I respect your labor about Filtering, its vain, to taking out CS1.6 boys of CS:GO boys, or conversely. Now for example, you will go to cover CS:GO event in Inferno Online, Sweden. Why you(hltv.org) dont go in America? To cover one of the big tournaments there, WCG Pan-America which feature CS1.6? That is not HLTV.org who i met years back.

dont break our balls with idiotic comments noone cares about your opinion that is useless...just stop the cs 1.6 drama..I play the game since 2001(1.3 version then) and i'm ok with the removal of a 12 year old game from tournaments it became blase
2012-08-16 18:08:21
that is situation, not my opinion.
2012-08-16 20:34:40

2012-08-16 15:17:03
It's here finally, CS:GO is gonna be big, I feel it and logically, sponsors will go crazy for this game.
2012-08-16 15:18:38
CS 1.6 and CS:GO is like LUq and pasha... ;) If you know what i mean..
2012-08-16 15:19:33
don't get it
2012-08-16 15:52:34
he probably means they both won WCG, cant be anything else
2012-08-16 16:39:57
No.. Pasha replaces luq'a like CS: GO replaced the 1.6. Most of this change approached with skepticism because LUq was important, but over time everyone will see that it was a good option. It's my opinion. ;p
2012-08-16 18:13:28
ahh, now i understand, hope u're right
2012-08-16 18:14:19
ok :)
2012-08-16 19:59:42
he's fan of luq and thinks that luq is much better that pasha
2012-08-16 18:12:33
bullsh*t. :)
2012-08-16 18:13:44
I played CS:GO yesterday. I thought I was not going to like it at all, but it wasn't that bad. I can see the improved a few things from the first videos I've seen. Maybe CS:GO can become a good game ;D
2012-08-16 15:21:03
yeah first few hours I thought it was horrible, but now it feels a little better, but the movement is whats really annoying imo. they try to make it realistic like a real human moves, but its boring and in a computer game it doesnt have to feel real.
2012-08-16 15:27:03
The movement was horrible a few months back. Now I feel it's a bit slower than CS 1.6 and of course the impact of jumping is much greater but I don't think it's that bad. Much more precise than before.
The recoil & sound however, is horrible ha ha

2012-08-16 15:27:11
why would anyone waste few hundred hours of real life on practicing to get €700 if they win? :p
2012-08-16 18:54:28
Why are u wasting years of your life in CS and do not win anything ? It`s just one of the first tournaments that is gonna to be held on LAN in CS:GO, so just cool down and think twice before posting -_-

2012-08-16 16:18:16
cadred have already stealed this news :(
2012-08-16 16:27:46
why stealing? why this useless competition between both website?

one is making the 1.6 coverage, the other the source coverage, so they are both newsing the CSGO actuality. it's just that hltv.org made it before cadred..
2012-08-16 16:51:37
i'm getting more inclined to cs:go, but I'm not willing to spend 30€ in a game ... :|
2012-08-16 16:35:46
it will be like 10 USD when it goes on sale on steam
2012-08-16 16:40:35
it's like 15 euros lol
2012-08-16 16:41:18
its 10 dollars ...thats SUPER cheap considering other "similar looking" gamers getting overpriced by wanna-be game creators like activision and blizzard .
2012-08-16 17:32:57
thought it had the same price as CSS
2012-08-17 04:38:58
