ESWC NA finals this weekend
Time: 2012-08-27 11:49
Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

North American Counter-Strke: Global Offensive ESWC pre-qualifier has finished with the finals taking place this coming weekend in Seattle, WA where the sole representative will be found for the finals in Paris.

One team from each CS:S and CS 1.6 was directly invited to the finals held at PAX Prime. The invited CS:S squad is Dynamic, who have won eight seasons of ESEA Invite and utterly dominated North America. They have however seen Salvatore "Volcano" Garozzo retire from competitive gaming with Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir replacing him.

n0thing misses out on a chance at ESWC 2012 due to partner in crime swag's young age

The invited CS 1.6 side is Maximum Effort who won the last two ESEA Invite seasons in CS 1.6. 100% lost both Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert and Braxton "swag" Pierce to rival teams and Brennan "ele1Nt" Webster did not make the switch to CS:GO though, forcing them to make changes. They teamed up with three players from Area51, and have decided to stick with the name for their sponsorship deal.

ESWC online qualifier featured hundreds of hopeful groups of five or more signing up to compete. In the end, former CS:S team Hold Mouse One and Gilbert and Pierce's Flaming Rainbows prevailed, but due to Pierce not being old enough to attend the finals, their spot was handed down to another CS:S based team, Murder Inc.

ESWC 2012 North American CS:GO qualifier team list:

Dynamic Area51
Hold Mouse One Murder Inc

The final qualifier will take place at PAX Prime in the Plantronics GameCom booth on this weekend, August 30-September 2. CS:GO does not yet feature a spectating tool, but streams will be available and HLTV.org will provide coverage of the event.

Nice :D gl

"Partner in crime" is just a figure of speech. Basically it means that n0thing's teammate (swag) is too young to play (because there is an age limit) therefore n0thing can't attend :)

actually "best friend" is a more appropriate translation. derives from the understanding that close friends do everything together, even the bad (crime).

think bonnie and clyde.

They gave us an option to use a 6th we had on the roster... Nepo... and he couldn't attend pax... they wouldn't allow us to add anyone else... and yes its a shame a 15 year old was allowed to travel to another country to par take in WCG pan am but was denied the right by plantronics to take part in the ESWC qualifier in the US.

2012-08-27 15:40:12
Is there an age restriction to enter PAX or why would that matter? Ridiculous that they wouldnt let you use a new player nevertheless.
2012-08-27 16:50:00

Okay, but why you tell people you work for EasyAntiCheat ? You cannot code, therefore if its true it would explain why EAC doesn't catch cheats.
2012-08-27 13:27:20
I've never told anyone that I work for EasyAntiCheat.

Just stop talking bullshit? And as far as the coding part, your free to speculate how good I might be, none of my concern anyways.

What does anticheat have to do with the fact that ESWC qualifier in NA is about to take place?

Wrong place to write to me, cu

err you're right...guess i'm still confused

he can go to pax prime though. the faq on their website says 13 is the age limit if you're alone

Are there age restrictions to PAX Prime?Back to Top
Nope. But if youre under 13, please make sure your parents know where you are. Children 6 and under do not require badges when accompanied by adult (however strollers are not permitted in the exhibit hall).

so i guess it's the paris venue he can't attend at 15 years old (?)
