Together with SteelSeries and YCN Hosting, Adroits are hosting a CS:GO tournament open for up to 128 teams.

The tournament will take place on September 2, demands no entry fees from the participants and will reward the top four teams with SteelSeries products and game servers from YCN Hosting.

Niels "rizc" Topp and Simen "warclown" Aas Henriksen will be in charge of broadcasting the tournament, most likely from Round of 32, and Androits plan to hold giveaways for the spectators.

The tournament will be played out in a single-elimination, best-of-one manner, with the grand final and third-place decider changing to the usual best-of-three format.

Good luck with it!

As for the "they" in my post I meant organisers in general and not your organisation in particular :)
2012-08-27 19:28:43
Ah, alright! Thought you had us confused with somebody else.

Cheers for your kind wishes :)
2012-08-27 19:53:29
Host something for 1.6 too. Some good karma can't hurt anyone, can it? ;)
2012-08-27 20:07:15
sponsorship is the main problem.

Anyone managed to sign up ? I couldnt really figure out if it worked for me. Just clicked sign-up but hadnt the possibility to create a team or put in a gameaccount.
2012-08-27 20:03:13
Your game accounts are handled on your profile.

Binary Beast hasn't yet added CS:GO to it's Steam game accounts section, I've contacted them to add this. Feel free to contact me and I can edit the name of your signup.
2012-08-27 20:08:23
Thank you for your response.

2012-08-27 20:13:00
When a 1.6 tournament give 3000 euros for the 1st place people complain, now a tournament of the new, fresh game, gives five headsets and five keyboards, and no one is complaining, weird. Isn't this new game supposed to bring sponsors and such things, because of it's better graphics, etc.?
2012-08-27 20:37:38
You true. Shit GO, shit will be championats. Fucking shit game.
2012-08-27 20:53:15
haterz gonna hate
2012-08-27 21:12:14
You got it right. But people are currently seeing these tournaments as small tournaments... Most of people are still in transition, and I guess CS:GO isn't in his fully power... And that will only happen when more teams appear, not just NiP and mousesports...
2012-08-27 20:58:36
It kinda feels weird to say that a 128 team tournament is small, but I know what you mean ahah.
2012-08-27 23:05:39
im talking about escw iem stuff like that xd
2012-08-27 23:15:31
Yeah, you meant popularity wise, but it's kinda funny ahah.
2012-08-29 20:46:59
You can't expect prizemoney (unless its a rich company) from a free sing-up tourney
2012-08-27 21:00:51
its a new game ....dreamhack already announced a 45k tournament ..what more do you want for a fresh game?
2012-08-27 21:16:09
i want more gameplay than graphics !
2012-08-27 23:05:54
This is on-line obviously, plus a pretty much noname organiser, give it time.
2012-08-27 23:19:26
Noname organiser? :(

Maybe in CS!
2012-08-27 23:30:54
I was talking about CS obviously, I'm sorry if I offended you, I just heard the name first time ever in CS :)
2012-08-27 23:31:45
No offence taken, my friend!

We're here to change that ;)
2012-08-28 00:04:24
That's good to hear
2012-08-28 00:46:33
Worst prizes ever , you must be kidding me.
2012-08-27 22:09:56
Cause you have a chance to win any prizes at all in any competition..

I think this is great stuff. Everyone - or 640 people to be exact - can participate without having to cash out a single dime and still have the chance to get a hold of some nice gear. It's a nice initiative for the community.
2012-08-28 21:54:21
Waaiiit... they're confident that the game has sold 640 copies already? :O
2012-08-27 23:49:31
Fail troll is fail.

Stop over-estimating CS players' math skills =D

We updated it to nuke_ve earlier.
2012-08-28 21:02:31
Amazing Initiative Guys!
Saw on the website that 135 teams signed up!
1 doubt, If players from world wide play in the servers provided, wont they lag or am I just missing something?
2012-08-28 12:53:32
Under server rules, we have;

2. In the spirit of fairness, an admin can be contacted if none of the provided servers are suitable for the match. However, the server log file must be provided to an admin after the match

So, don't worry :)
2012-08-28 21:02:15
