Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

4Kings have announnced that they have signed Free Agents as their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive representatives.

HLTV.org had earlier this month reported that the United Kingdom-based organization were close to revealing a team that would make up their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive section.

It comes as no surprise that 4Kings have signed a team largely composed of British players. A tweet by the organization said the British community "should be excited" for the announcement.

Free Agents, who have now made the switch to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, have been a regular sight at international online tournaments and recently came out victorious at FireCore 4.

Headed by Craig "onscreen" Shannon, four of 4Kings' players are of British origin and have been a part of the nation's scene for years, while Christian "aRCH1eb" Pedersen hails from Norway.

"We are really looking forward to attending all major upcoming events for CS:GO. The game so far looks promising and with many good teams moving over it is looking great for CS:GO for years to come," Shannon told the team's website.

Christian "aRCH1eb" Pedersen and  Zac "zaK" Bassett being the exceptions, the other three have all been a part of 4Kings in the past, namely when they played together in early 2011.

4Kings are represented by:

 Craig 'onscreen' Shannon
  Suffian 'Suffz' Arshad
  Aaron 'AaroN' Hemmings
  Zac 'zaK' Basset
  Christian 'aRCH1eb' Pedersen

Craig "onscreen" Shannon
 Suffian "Suffz" Arshad
 Aaron "AaroN" Hemmings
 Zac "zaK" Bassett
 Christian "aRCH1eb" Pedersen

Despite being announced as 4Kings' new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, they will continue to play Counter-Strike 1.6 in the Inuria Championship Summer league, being up against Anexis next.

2012-08-27 20:01:23
We'll still play any suitable 1.6 tournaments but as there aren't very many of those our main focus will be CS.GO for now :)

2012-08-27 20:14:00
Well, ballsacks. I quite liked this team.
2012-08-27 20:14:10
Well done zaK you finally got your wish of playing for 4K..shame its in CS:GO LOL
2012-08-27 20:34:08
Good to see such tag back to life, again. The bad thing is the game they're playing.
2012-08-27 20:34:41
quite ridiculous for 4kings, i hoped for a strong team built around "weber" the best uk player of css and they took free agents. For me it's a bad move :x
2012-08-27 20:35:18
If they practice enough they could be really good i mean now they have a chance to be sent in major tournaments they will give their best they can do something.
2012-08-27 21:07:01
These 5 won't practise lol...
2012-08-27 21:12:26
Why not

Well, I saw them practise "a lot" :)
2012-08-28 12:47:23
they never practised in 1.6
2012-08-30 01:43:12
Well, i practised vs them, so thats not true :)
2012-08-30 17:04:27
free agents was by far their best option, Saucers gonna get stomped soon enough.
2012-08-27 20:39:20
delusional
2012-08-28 06:42:14
He's right. Source players are nowhere near 1.6 players, and it will be proven soon. They might be better because 1.6 players are switching to "their game" atm, but it will all change once 1.6 players get into the game. All source players played 1.6 and changed to source cuz their assess got kicked so they couldn't take it ;) And any 1.6 mid-player who changed to source became "star" at source...rofl
2012-08-28 09:01:50
CSGO is different to both 1.6 and source, explain how its "their game", the only thing i see is that its on the same engine as source, but thats it
2012-08-28 13:58:43
Yea right, it's not 90% source 10% 1.6...
2012-08-28 17:17:46
I dont know how can you tell which ones are better when most of them have never played each others games (atleast competitively) and the games are so different. Its like saying that Starcraft 1 pros are much better than Starcraft 2 pros, makes just no sense to me.
2012-08-28 16:35:44
I've explained but you didnt read obviously. Truth hurts so much that you had to register to reply to my comment. As I've said, many "start" source players couldn't even beat me in 1.6 so they moved to that shit source game and became "famous", when in reality, it's like guys who cant play hockey and then go and invent field hockey etc.
2012-08-28 17:19:30
Just because someone plays field hockey, doesn't mean they can't play ice hockey. I may be mistaken, but I'm 99% sure field hockey was invented before ice hockey.
2012-08-28 17:45:42
It was just an example. In this case it does mean that source players can't play 1.6 while mediocre 1.6 players proved they could become top players at source.
2012-08-28 22:51:42
So by your logic (given that the css pros couldn't beat you on 1.6 and anyone who's mediocre at 1.6 can switch to css and become a "star") if you switched to css you'd have been one of the best players to play css?

There's quite a lot of moronic people knocking about around the cs communities, but you seriously take the cake. You literally seem to know nothing.
2012-08-29 02:51:36
Yes basically that's the truth, CSS players are simply not talented enough, so they switched to that other shit game, FACT.
2012-08-29 09:29:05
[FACT]
2012-08-30 04:44:30
nicky isn't a pro 1.6 player, is he? So why, even by his logic, would he be a pro at css?
2012-08-31 23:16:13
Ask other guys who couldn't make it in 1.6 and "made it" in CSS after. I didn't try to become pro, so you can't count me in ;)
2012-09-05 19:30:12
that's precisely what I was saying.
2012-09-05 20:48:07
so deluded.
2012-08-29 02:45:00

oh dear.
2012-08-27 20:48:05
Mousesports will be so much better than these guys... however was the best option around for them I suppose.

Good luck to 4Kings, glad to see them taking the step back into the world of CS.
2012-08-27 20:58:11
4Kings will have to get used to csgo yes mouz have headstart becuz of css, but they have much potentials this team:D
2012-08-27 21:09:17
Oh yeah, not saying that, but I just feel Mouse have by far the better team... Re1ease, RattlesnK, Mx, pt, Hughsy, 5 pretty sick players.
2012-08-27 21:31:22
Indeed they are great (mouz) , but since CS:GO is very random atm we can't predict which team will be better.

I also think that we should consider the fact that maybe there's a little advantage for 1.6 / CS:S players , which means that 1.6 players might find this game easier to catch than CS:S players, or the opposite.

Both teams are good , that's for sure , I just hope to see a good fight between those top CS:S teams to 1.6 teams , that would be very interesting to watch .. unlike the SteelSeries tournament which was a very one sided and boring tournament to watch.

2012-08-27 22:09:10
So what you have just said to me is that it's a level playing field ;)

I agree with your points, but I just feel from what I witnessed this weekend, Mousesports will long remain the Number 1 British side.
2012-08-28 03:46:56
You might right , I also think mouz has a good chance of becoming the best British team in the UK , and if they will be as good as they were in source they can become one of the top teams in CS:GO as well.

2012-08-28 07:31:06
don't think there's much doubt that mouse will be the top UK team
2012-08-29 02:53:01
glad to see them taking the step back into the world of CS.

Lol'd

2012-08-29 10:00:12
I'm guessing most teams that you have given news about on CS:GO are mainly source players? Ye 1.6 teams are gonna be a world apart in skill. Man the source players are gonna hate it haha.

What a waste, couldn't make it in 1.6 so now they try and make it in GO where they have MUCH more talented opposition from their own country in mousesports. 4Kings is an absolute joke of an org.
2012-08-29 18:13:04
they are a good 1.6 team. your a joke:)
2012-08-30 03:50:27
Yeh, you're right MMbop.. What on earth was I thinking, I mean if you think they are good they must be! /gtfo
