fnatic face TyLoo in K1 League group

Game: Counter-Strike 1.6

The K1 CS:Online League organisation has announced the four teams who will be playing in Group A, seeing fnatic paired with Chinese giants TyLoo.

The Chinese tournament will take place from September 7 through to November 10 in Shanghai and will run on a format which is similar to the one that was adopted by the World Esports Games, with only two matches being played on the same day at most.

Every team will play against each other three times during the group stage, whose matches will take place on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Group A will end on September 25, and with the semi-finals being played only in November, it means that fnatic will have to return to China after playing at PGS and DreamHack Bucharest in October.

Chinese duo ETeng and New4 are so far the only teams in Group B, which will be played from October 2-25, as the tournament organisation is still trying to find the last two participants.

The exact prize purse has not yet been confirmed by the tournament chiefs, but it is believed that it will be upwards of $30,000.

The groups for K1 League currently look as follows:

Group A Group B
fnatic (karrigan, trace, Friis, MODDII, FYRR73) ETENG
TyLoo (Savage, xf, tb, Mo, KingZ)
New4
ZINCTHAI (Richie, qhz, qz, z8z, cyi1)
TBA
TFE (alex, Muziwei, Zero, hjxz, Meteor)
TBA

As far as I looked up CS:O news have been using that category in the past.
Only skins and weaponry, to note the most important ones if I am not mistaken, differ from regular CS 1.6 .
2012-09-04 21:09:36
& rates.
2012-09-05 02:10:09

not exactly, the k1 is supported by agent of cs：online. actually cs:online is not as popular as you thought in China.

That's actually the challenge I guess. Do better than the previous EU team instead (or prior to) of aiming to win the thing.
2012-09-04 19:20:30
So what are your thoughts on the matter?

Fnatic is strong and they now have a great AWP player, but we can't forget that they are playing CS:O.

I think Tyloo will win the K1L.

It would be interesting to know if fnatic have been in touch with the NaVi guys in order to get some feedback from someone who played the game in place already.

As for how the event will perform, I honestly do not know but fnatic have already shown that they like to overcome difficulties and present battle until the very end.

Therefore I hope it will be enjoyable not only for the teams but also for the spectators who decide to watch/follow this competition.
2012-09-04 20:44:50
I tried to follow when NaVi played, but it was down right impossible with all those Chinese streams.

Low quality streams, huge delays, etc..

Something to be improved indeed as, as far as I know, it is the only way to follow the matches.
2012-09-05 00:18:30
Probably will be as well, unless CS:O gets bigger. Since Chinese is kinda individual country, they like to host their own things.

Well that is how I see it, I could be wrong tho.

All we can say is let's wait and see.
It is def. going to be interesting.

My bet is still on TyLoo :)
