Alexander "rdl" Redl has joined a new German Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad currently known as ex-ALTERNATE.
The Swedish player had been on the lookout for a new team after being released by mTw last week just four months into his stint.
Earlier in the month, HLTV.org reported that a new German CS:GO was in the making, with former ALTERNATE 1.6 member Tobias "Troubley" Tabbert and manager Johannes "siGGe" Sick involved in the project.
It is still unknown whether the team, currently known as "ex ALTERNATE aTTaX 1.6" on the ESL's website, will have any ties with ALTERNATE, whose CS:Source squad has already made the transition to CS:GO.
It is believed that Redl will fill in for Andre "BARBARR" Möller, who joined on Sunday a new Swedish team called Prospects.
ex-ALTERNATE have the following roster:
Tobias "Troubley" Tabbert
Hendrik "strux1" Goetzendorff
Dimitrios "stavros" Smoilis
Brandon "Weber" Weber
Alexander "rdl" Redl
Redl was already seen in action for ex-ALTERNATE on Sunday as he helped the team to secure a spot in the upcoming EPS season via the open qualifiers. Even if they are not picked up by ALTERNATE, it should not take long for them to find an organisation.
The roster for the first EPS season in CS:GO is currently composed of the following eight teams:
mTw
dotpiXels
Tt Dragons
TEAM GAMED.DE
n!faculty
TEAM ALTERNATE
logiX
