Sune "crZy" Hansen has revealed that dotpiXels have refused to pay the players their share of the EPS winnings.
dotpiXels secured the league's first prize of €4,300 following a 2-0 victory against Team ALTERNATE at the LAN finals in August.
Hansen claims that prior to the team joining dotpiXels, it was verbally agreed that the players were entitled to the entirety of the prize money they would get, but the organisation is now allegedly refusing to keep their end of the deal.
"When our manager first approached dotpiXels, he agreed with them that we were okay to play without a salary because they could not afford to pay one at that time, but the prizes were going to us 100 per cent" Hansen told HLTV.org.
"After the EPS finals, I wanted to make a new deal about the prize money. We actually only wanted €500 per player and the rest would go to dotpiXels.
"We did not even want all the money, because something should also go to the organisation, even if they had no expenses.
"He now claims that we said we never wanted any prize money and that he told us he would not give us anything."
According to Hansen, the only time dotpiXels had to spend any money on the team was when Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer was brought in to replace Marko "ceLL" Knist half way through the season.
"I spoke with [dotpiXels CEO] Christian "Vith3r" Reißig and I told him I could get roman for the team, but that it would cost €400," he added.
"He thought about it, and he said it was okay. That was the only expense they had."
The Danish player further claimed that the team had been promised the opportunity to attend a LAN event, but that the dotpiXels organisation also failed to fulfil that agreement.
"When we reached the EPS playoffs, we talked about attending an event (PGS as we had been invited or DreamHack Bucharest)," Hansen noted.
"We were promised that as long as we would beat DkH at the EPS finals, we would be sent to a tournament, or that we would at least look into it.
"After we won the EPS finals, I spoke with Vith3r and he said he would have a look at everything that was necessary for us to go to PGS.
"But nothing happened again."
HLTV.org has contacted dotpiXels for reaction, but without any success so far. The team who won the EPS finals consisted of:
Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer
André "Kirby" Kempa
Thorsten "thoR" Kunz
Sune "crZy" Hansen
Nabil "BULI" Rachid
