Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Ninjas in Pyjamas have earned themselves a showdown against VeryGames in the DreamHack Valencia final after moving past k1ck 2-0.

It was actually k1ck who took the momentum early on, starting out on the Terrorist side on de_inferno and taking the opening two rounds. However, a well-planned eco strategy from NiP got them the first round of the game. The Portuguese team were not impressed, though, and and took back a two-round lead, only to lose to an ecoing NiP once again. The Swedes dominated proceedings for the remainder of the first half as they went up 10-5 at half-time.

In the second half, k1ck came out stronger once again and took the pistol round, but then fell victim to NiP's eco once again. Some rounds were then exchanged between the two teams, but the Swedes kept their cool to take the first map 16-9.

de_nuke was the map that followed, and here NiP finally managed to win the pistol round, thanks to some solid work from Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson. k1ck then won the following eco round, with Fábio "n3w" Teixeira taking down three players, but once again they found themselves helpless against NiP's eco strat as the Swedes regained the lead. The rest of the first half was a one-side show, with the Swedish team storming to an impressive 13-2 lead.

On the Terrorist side, k1ck were able to win the pistol round for the third time in the game, but they were once again surprised by the eco strategy from NiP, who would go on to win the map 16-4.

fox tha best
2012-09-23 12:16:12
ahhhhaha
2012-09-23 12:20:52
you really think that after winning both pistol rounds in a map and still losing it you are stolen?
it only shows how great the difference is between the two best teams. I doubt any team can come close to VG and NiP anytime soon, unless ESC navi or fnatic are already praccing CSGO hard, but I get the feeling they are still causious making the switch, and not ready to let go of 1.6

not true.
k1ck played well at inferno vs NiP

and im known as k1ck hater.

I did not say they did not play well, I said they have not been stolen of anything
but I guess you mean that they can come close to VG/nip level?

at least i think so
they have better chances of be in top5 best teams in cs:go then they had in 1.6
2012-09-23 12:52:51
You arent known
2012-09-23 12:42:18
who are you?
2012-09-23 13:38:14
same came to my mind about you.
2012-09-23 14:26:42
but I am not known, neither do I claim so. You do x)

Go verygames, show that CS:GO is definitely a CSS game. Don't let these morons come on your territory.
2012-09-23 12:17:02
-1 for this kind of harsh. CS:GO is not definitely a CSS game, NiP is a fact of that. But yeah, go VeryGames. </3 f0rest, HeatoN and GeT_RiGhT + CS:S.
2012-09-23 12:19:47
I might be wrong, but I don't really think NiP faced a strong CS:S team such as VeryGames yet.

In case VeryGames wins (and they will in my opinion) , NiP might also fail against other strong CS:S teams that made this switch to CS:GO ..

NiP is great , but I think they are so overrated because they have 3 stars from 1.6 and they were the first big team to make this switch to GO.
2012-09-23 12:24:19
Yeah, that's exactly what I think.
2012-09-23 12:26:20
mtw, mouz, verygames > NiP.
2012-09-23 12:28:43
VG has better chance than NiP because:

1>NiP are a new team while VG have been playing together for years.
2>CS:GO maps are more or less carbon copy of CSS maps with new textures. So VG will feel more comfortable in those maps compared to NiP except de_mirage.

Aiming skill is quite similar at that high level and this game has no movement. So the above 2 factors give advantage to VG over NiP.

3>NiP started their serious praccing just a couple of days before this event since Xizt were off for longer holidays, bcuz this event wasnt planned at the time, but they said "we need to go and play DH Valencia anyways".

and you think it will determine who will win coz of that? VG > NIP anytime !
2012-09-23 13:06:41
So what? VG had a CSS lan last weekend.. They didnt have that much time to pracc either
2012-09-23 13:57:21

2012-09-23 16:47:12

2012-09-23 12:40:20
VG will definitely pose problems ,fingers crossed NiP win this one!
2012-09-23 12:40:47
Nip need kick flig and fiflaren, its suck
2012-09-23 12:49:58
I guess VG will take it not only because CSGO is CSS based game but they are together as a team for much longer time than NiP. Would be better if whole SK have switched.
2012-09-23 13:01:21
first cs:go lan tournament of k1ck, and i realy enjoyed to see k1ck vs Nip, I think k1ck in the future could have chance in cs:go.

omg vg will win because of this omg vg will win because of that, omg omg omg nip don't stand a chance, all you retards, how can you predict anything when its the first cs:go tournament and it's first time VG play NIP?.... lol
2012-09-23 13:42:00
will be tight... VG is more prepared. lets see if talent changes it
2012-09-23 13:46:13
I think NiP needs a good Sweden CS:S awper
Then it would be perfect
