Natus Vincere are the second finalist in the ProGamerSeries CS 1.6 tournament after defeating place2play.ru with a scoreline of 2-0.
Na´Vi, who began on the CT side on de_inferno, started out the better, taking three three rounds before place2play.ru were able to get a piece of the action. The Ukrainians quickly regained control of the match and took the score to 5-1, but then place2play finally began to get their strategy to work and were able to go into half-time up 8-7.
In the second half, p2p took the first two rounds to extend their lead even further, but a buying option from Na’Vi in the third round and a quick A push put them back in the game. Some rounds were then exchanged between the two teams, as neither side were able to stamp their authority on the game, but Na´Vi eventually came out on top 16-13 to take the lead in the tie.
On de_train, which is usually regarded as a CT map, Na´Vi began as Terrorists, but they took the game by storm and strolled to an impressive 12-3 lead at the break.
When the Ukrainians won the pistol round in the second half, many certainly thought that the game was over, but place2play then found a lifeline after winning the second round with a Deagle eco and started amassing rounds. Na´Vi looked a little bit lost at times, but they finally managed to win the four rounds they needed to win the map 16-13.
