SY_b have inflicted Ninjas in Pyjamas their first-ever defeat in an official match by coming out on top in the THOR Open qualifier match with a scoreline of 16-14 on de_dust2_se.
Since the creation of the CS:GO division, NiP had not yet lost a single official match, having already won DreamHack Valencia and ESWC Nordic, among other tournaments.
But they were given quite the reality check on Saturday when they were ousted in the second THOR Open qualifier in the Round of 64 courtesy of Andreas "schneider" Lindberg's team.
Virtus.pro, fm.TOXiC and Volt Gaming are some of the other teams who are taking part in the qualifier, which will reward the winner with a place at Thor Open in December. You can find the bracket tree by going here.
SY_b have the following line-up:
Andreas "schneider" Lindberg
Robin "flusha" Rönnquist
Jonathan "devilwalk.teg" Lundberg
Simon "downie" Storm
Erik "zende" Sundeqvist
They show their skill by loosin.. Cool story bro

It's only a onlinegame, don't look to much in to it but don't take away all the SY_b credits either.

Edit: You clearly wouldn't have come out of your shell saying "srs how can online quals be run with no anti cheat..." had NIP won the match would you?

cs in general can be random.
congratulations SY_b historical win!
but it doesnt matter, great game SY_b gg
People might call it random, but I will call it exciting that even small teams can go and win over top teams when you don't expect it.
A game where NiP will dominate it all won't be fun to watch. Im not saying that they won't dominate but it's a hint to that the scene is still very open and everybody can basicly beat everybody.
1st of all why ppl are saying that NiP doesn't care about qual.? If you don't care about something why are you spending time on it?
2nd, it's not 2xtimes Lindberg but...
Lindberg and Lundberg, yeah reading is hard to master even on basic lvl.
