fm-eSports TOXiC have announced that they will be using Absolute Legends ace André "BARBARR" Möller as a stand-in at the ESWC finals.

The UK-based team had used Robert "TORNADOTONI" Radosevic as a stand-in for the ESWC qualifiers, which they won last week after defeating mousesports 2-0 in the final.

However, he would not be able to put much effort into practicing for the event in Paris, which forced the team to find an alternative after the qualifier.

BARBARR to attend ESWC with fm.TOXiC

Möller linked up with Absolute Legends last month, but the future of the Swedish team has been a major talking point in recent days after Joel "emilio" Mako started his own team in H2k-Gaming.

"Prior to using TORNADOTONI for the ESEA qualifiers, we knew that he had university commitments and probably could not put the time in we wanted to get the best out of our team," Brandon "weber" Weber told HLTV.org.

"We also had been lacking a full-time awper, something zed had been doing well but obviously not at the high level BARBARR has done previously.

"So far he seems to fit in well and we will begin practicing as much as time allows so we can give a good showing once we are. out there in Paris."

Questioned about fm.TOXiC's goals for the ESWC finals, Weber lamented that the team will not be able to practice on LAN, but he did not rule out the possibility of his side taking the gold in the French capital.

"We will prepare purely online, we looked into bootcamping but we could not find a suitable location," Weber explained.

"We aim to win the event, of course, we do not see why we could not beat the likes of VeryGames or NiP, as it is a new game.

"We are all confident and we will no doubt be classed as underdogs, so we will have to see on the day."

With Möller joining in, fm.TOXiC will attend the ESWC finals with:

Neil "nEiLZiNHo" Finlay
George "Zed" Bear
Phil "Whindanski" Nicholas
Brandon "weber" Weber
André "BARBARR" Möller (stand-in)

Formula ONEE =D

so aL already dead?
2012-10-17 04:14:59
Good question... As far as I know, there's been no word as to who emilio's replacement will be. aL are playing in the CyberGamer Invite league as well, so they'd better find a 5th or a stand-in pretty soon...
2012-10-17 04:38:48
Well, they're out of the CyberGamer Invite league now... rape said in a thread I posted that they would announce their 5th "soon", but that was almost 2 weeks back I think... And that team had so much promise. =(

BARBARR <3
2012-10-17 04:23:55
Isn't weber playing as a stand-in for another team in another event? Lol, so fm.TOXiC are using a stand-in, and another team is using one of fm.TOXiC's players as a stand-in.
2012-10-17 04:41:02
I'm acting as 6th for Team xXx in EPS, just helping a few friends out if they have trouble fielding 5!
2012-10-17 04:43:59
Ah, gotcha. Well, considering crZy left, I guess having a back-up isn't a bad idea.
2012-10-17 04:45:27
I guess you need two back-ups to fill for crZy

Best of luck! I love how all these different teams mix nationalities, it's not nationality biased as much as 1.6 has been in recent years. (not including the Danish rush the past year or two)
2012-10-17 12:15:43
Damn those Danes and their disability to accept other nationalities into their line ups!!!

But really, strange pick up considering they were a source UK line up and he's was a Swedish 1.6 player :P

You don't find other nationalities in Danish lineups, but you'll always find Danes in other lineups :P.

Kind of a "you don't kiss me, I kiss you" logic to it :).

Fnatic was a special case, they got overwhelmed over time.

To answer your comment yes, it's quite normal to mix communities now which is a good thing honestly. :)

reason why they are mixing communities is because there isnt enough good players from same country.

There is like 20k csgo players so no wonder they need to find them from public servers.

like from arm race (if they need rusher ;P)

There aren't enough good players from Denmark to make a Danish team? You can't be serious. Anexis and Wiki until now are doing great, and there are 3 players in fnatic.

well denmark is the only place because from 20k csgo players over 6k playes from dk.
2012-10-18 08:13:11
Just stop trolling.... It's a tragic attempt.

Basically you are saying that the combined competitive scenes of 1.6 and CSS aren't enough to make competitive teams in a new game.

logic 1 - 0 pulu.

trace karrigan friis suranga minet zonic ave wazorn nuggi snappi SFM colon sunde and Arcadion, to name but a few lol.
2012-10-18 01:52:24
sunde is playing csgo?
2012-10-18 02:24:01
No idea, was just thinking of good danish players xD Half of them probably aren't playing seriously/GO.
2012-10-18 10:45:10
nice tactical decision to use toni as an stand-in in an online qualifer and to replace him later when the actual LAN is coming up.

he would have missed the flight anyway.
