ESC lose to Drunken Globus in EPS
ESC Gaming have been inflicted their first official defeat in CS:GO following Sunday's 16-6 loss to Drunken Globus.
The three-time WCG champions had won their first two matches in the league against myRevenge and aSperaGamers but simply fell short on Sunday against a team who is also regarded a strong contender for the title.
Drunken Globus, who boast three former players of DELTA, as well as ex-PGS member Daniel "myth" Bukalski and former CS:Source player Damian "Divinity" Cichosz, have moved to the top of the EPS table, with two victories from two games and an impressive 32:9 round record.

ESC Gaming were last week invited for the ESWC finals, but this defeat will certainly raise questions about the team's chances of clinching the gold in Paris.
The Polish side switched to CS:GO only last month, and Filip "Neo" Kubski, who played as a stand-in for place2play.ru at PGS two weeks ago, recently expressed his concerned that the team will not be able to reach the same level from 1.6.

Sure, but how does that argue against what I said? My point is, that a single bo1 game will probably not cause these guys to stop playing, nor probably have a significant impact on their motivation. They have lost hard to worse teams and pushed through in tough tournament games. If they quit it will not be because they lost an online bo1.

guys chill, they played some source cups (even won some big lan in Moscow) in the past (de_cbble times etc), as dv said - they will just train harder, imagine that they were unbeatable for 10 years for any Polish team, they always went on Polish lans without any training before, for sure they will train some next time!
Also remember its online, they always SUCKED online games before lans etc, for example before winning IEM last time i think they lost 0:16 to M5 and got owned by Lions etc aswell (online).

I've followed polish 1.6 scene since 2007 and as far as I know after the fusion of Aristocracy and SpecSter (G5), they've never ever lost a match against a polish team.

You must be a bad follower then. They did lose an ENTIRE match 2-1 in Cybersport league finals vs Drunken Five in 2012. It was a BO3 groupstage. ESC however won the Grand Final 2-0. Drunken Five/DELTA/FearFactory also won a couple of maps in BO3 series throughout the last 2 years of 1.6.

Source players have huge advantage in CSGO. Drunken Globus have 2 skilled source player who played in best polish css team. They also have a good teamplay. Ofc i wish the best to neo and rest of team but propably they wont do any serious damage at world scene.

Everyone keeps saying that sourcers have the advantage in CS:GO. But is that actually true? Out of own experience whilst playing GO against and with sourcers (skilled ones), I would say this isn't the case. Anyone please prove me wrong with some facts...

I played couple mixes in csgo with strong 1.6 lineup against exsource players. They advantage is really huge. Its the same game engine, almost the same movement and recoil. People after many years of playin 1.6 knows only maps:D

The recoil is nothing a like nor is the movement, the best team by far atm is also mixed with 3 1.6 players lol. cspromod and source are also on the same engine does that mean that promod is like source to? i played source couple times in 2005 and couple hours year ago. I simply didnt like this game so i didnt touch it throuhg years. In CSGO i made 15h and in my opinion game is playable but i didnt enjoy it as much when i play 1.5 and then 1.6 for the first time. I dont enjoy this game at all. With many hours of practice everyone can be good at csgo, but in my case i think im too old and ive already wasted to many years at 1.6 so i wont start from beginning with game i simply dont like :-)
IMO CSGO have 2 faces. At ffa game is totally crap with random movement, but in gathers/mixes its pretty nice to challenge in new game with nice graphic

It's common knowledge that 1.6 players have some of the craziest aim in general, along with quake players. Most of them will do above average in any FPS game they haven't tried before, just because of that reason.
The reason the verygames guys are good is no surprise to anyone since they come from source as you already mentioned.. GO is basically a modified version of Source with identical maps, same flashes, sounds, etc etc.. Very few things in the game can be compared to 1.6 and it is therefore no surprise they are good at a game that is so similar to the game they came from...
You are the first person I have seen that has stated that the spray control in CS:GO is better than in 1.6. Because of that reason Im gonna be nice to you and hope that this whole post is just a big "attention-whore scenario" and not bother insulting you :)... It's still very sad though.
Since you've just recently created this account im guesssing you're either a CS:GO fanatic who never played 1.6 and hates it because theres almost three times the amount of people playing it daily compared to GO. Or you are a Source player who is crying because 1.6 players are owning you in a game you've spent more hours in.

GO is basically a modified version of Source with identical maps, same flashes, sounds, etc etc.. Very few things in the game can be compared to 1.6 and it is therefore no surprise they are good at a game that is so similar to the game they came from...
You are the first person I have seen that has stated that the spray control in CS:GO is better than in 1.6. Because of that reason Im gonna be nice to you and hope that this whole post is just a big "attention-whore scenario" and not bother insulting you :)... It's still very sad though.
Since you've just recently created this account im guesssing you're either a CS:GO fanatic who never played 1.6 and hates it because theres almost three times the amount of people playing it daily compared to GO. Or you are a Source player who is crying because 1.6 players are owning you in a game you've spent more hours in.
