ESC Gaming have been inflicted their first official defeat in CS:GO following Sunday's 16-6 loss to Drunken Globus.
The three-time WCG champions had won their first two matches in the league against myRevenge and aSperaGamers but simply fell short on Sunday against a team who is also regarded a strong contender for the title.
Drunken Globus, who boast three former players of DELTA, as well as ex-PGS member Daniel "myth" Bukalski and former CS:Source player Damian "Divinity" Cichosz, have moved to the top of the EPS table, with two victories from two games and an impressive 32:9 round record.
DELTA
ESC Gaming
ESC Gaming were last week invited for the ESWC finals, but this defeat will certainly raise questions about the team's chances of clinching the gold in Paris.
The Polish side switched to CS:GO only last month, and Filip "Neo" Kubski, who played as a stand-in for place2play.ru at PGS two weeks ago, recently expressed his concerned that the team will not be able to reach the same level from 1.6.

Also remember its online, they always SUCKED online games before lans etc, for example before winning IEM last time i think they lost 0:16 to M5 and got owned by Lions etc aswell (online).
GL ESC, you will need it!

> Not a extreme fanboy
> World is going to end
We are going to practice a lot in these two weeks to get ready for that because we have heard some rumours about a Polish team that will beat us. That would be a big thing in Poland because we have not lost in almost 10 years, so it will be an important event.
Looking at the Polish CS:GO scene, which team do you fear the most?
There are two teams, one that played in 1.6, with former players of DELTA [Drunken Globus] and one former CS:Source player, and also Banana Phone. The rumours say the latter are very strong and that they say they are going to beat us."

"read -> think -> talk" - that's the correct order.

Well, now we only need news when fnatic and navi lose their first official match in CS:GO if they make the change.
It's a loss.. they need to adapt, they will lose again, chill the fuck out :D
Besides, Drunken Globus are not a bad team :)

this news because they lost?
in 1.6 they lost against underdogs online, and in cs:go won't be different

IMO CSGO have 2 faces. At ffa game is totally crap with random movement, but in gathers/mixes its pretty nice to challenge in new game with nice graphic
And yes. Im 1.6 fanboy. Im playin this game since 2002 and i never felt bored through all the years, many local lan events and great friends playin with me.
I've never seen you at HLTV before so propably you are new one - dont try to teach me which game is cool and remember that HLTV becomes as huge as now thanks to 1.6 also remember that 1.6 is still alive and well - just check official Steam stats. Maybe we wont play any big events anymore? Maybe Valve and IT companies will still hate us? Who gives a fuck? Game is still alive and many many people still enjoy playin it.
I wish the best for CSGO but i hate this new community who came here from nowhere bitchin/swearing at us - 1.6 players who dont like csgo. Sure 1.6 is old and ugly but i cant imagine better game.

17.10.2005 vs DBR @ AMD CyberCup 12:16
26.11.2006 vs Fx @ PGA 2006 15:15
24.11.2007 vs Fx @ PGA 2007 7:16
17.10.2008 vs Fx @ Cybersport 1:16
26.11.2008 vs BenQ.Delta @ Cybersport 11:16
31.05.2009 vs D-Link PGS @ Cybersport 13:16
28.05.2011 vs FearFactory @ EGU 6:16
But on the other hand maybe this means the Polish scene starts to part ways with the horrible boredom of ESC dominance in 1.6 and will be able to offer some new excitement during the matches and the local competitions as a whole.

On my behalf I just hope it won't be, at least regarding the Polish scene which I think most if not all Polish fans will agree on, as it was in 1.6, that is, pretty boring.
That is why I referred specifically to the local Polish scene where most if not all of the times it was merely a ESC solo. And that, as far as I see it, did not help the Polish scene to develop a competitive environment where ESC had to actually fight/struggle their way to the top against actual challengers.
A struggle ESC, and any other Polish team to be considered an actual challenger, could have benefit from when facing other international teams.

in CS:GO you need much more skill than in cs 1.6, where spraying and all is so easy. for example in cs:go you need much more skill to control spray. recoil is also much harder to handle in burst shots in cs:go.
Only reason why NiP is on top in CS:GO, is because they have trained cs:go so much. they are motivated to train absurd number of hours of cs:go, because they "get paid" for doing so. for example verygames guys from source haven't played cs:go even nearly as much as NiP guys and still they almost beat them in Valencia
in natural individual skills verygames guys are so much better than nip guys :)
It's common knowledge that 1.6 players have some of the craziest aim in general, along with quake players. Most of them will do above average in any FPS game they haven't tried before, just because of that reason.
The reason the verygames guys are good is no surprise to anyone since they come from source as you already mentioned.. GO is basically a modified version of Source with identical maps, same flashes, sounds, etc etc.. Very few things in the game can be compared to 1.6 and it is therefore no surprise they are good at a game that is so similar to the game they came from...
You are the first person I have seen that has stated that the spray control in CS:GO is better than in 1.6. Because of that reason Im gonna be nice to you and hope that this whole post is just a big "attention-whore scenario" and not bother insulting you :)... It's still very sad though.
Since you've just recently created this account im guesssing you're either a CS:GO fanatic who never played 1.6 and hates it because theres almost three times the amount of people playing it daily compared to GO. Or you are a Source player who is crying because 1.6 players are owning you in a game you've spent more hours in.
Now fuck off will you :)

ESC just beat your precious sauce team banana phone at the first big polish CSGO event, shows how limited the CS1.6 players skills are. you are truly ignorant, and former 1.6 players will keep porving it in the upcoming years.

several of them have achievements that you guys would not dream of getting close
GL in future on scene GO !
