I fail to comprehend any logic in this decision, I can think of at least 10 other teams that should be considered to be invited before considering this team, I know i will look like an arrogant douche from posting this, but for the greater good of the CS:GO community, I'm willing to look that way.
Let me list them up for you.
Copenhagen Wolves:
A Danish organisation that ALWAYS have top teams under their wings, they have a team consisting of danish source players who has done well both nationally and internationally
Mousesports (UK) :
This is the team that won the source tournament of Copenhagen games 2012 no more needs to be said.
Fnatic :
Don't know if they play CS:GO yet, but they have played CS:online and might be looking for a reason to play this game, They are a huge powerhouse within Esport and looking at the previous ESWC reasoning they should be considered as well.
Number 2 ,3 or 4 of the french qualifier :
The french scene is really strong and have the potential to do some serious damage, however only one team can go through the qualifier, but the top4 still has a shot at doing great and raise the bar of the teams of the ESWC tournament as it is now,
Both Caramba and Winfakt :
Finnish top teams that consist of great players that have great results with them and are doing well in the CS:GO game.
TeaM_x :
Swedish team that are doing well and consist of known players and have decent results.
Even gosu :
A team of norwegian players that have just won a lan and are doing decent and making a name of themselves - they could be considered to be underdogs.
And there are probably teams that I have forgotten as well!
I know that it is required to apply for getting an invitation, however, there HAS to be other teams that have applied that would be a better suit for this major tournament :P
I am sorry for launching at the n!faculty team and organisation, but I truly believe this is such a poor decision.
I understood their decision about inviting the huge 1.6 teams/organisations and ignoring the CS:GO results so far, even considering the public relations they could get for inviting teams from lets say india or china would make sense, but Mouz from germany are already there representing germany so why invite another german team?!?!?
Inviting a middle class team to such a huge tournament.... It's just not good enough when this tournament is supposed to represent the best teams in the world!
My point is - step up your game ESWC!
And just to be clear, this is MY opinion, not a reflection of my team or 3DMAX - Only mine.
