ALSEN have secured the fourth and last place in the CS:GO tournament at IEM Poland after coming out on top of the last qualifier for local teams.
Up to 36 teams from across Poland signed up for the qualifier with hopes of clinching the last spot in the $7,000 CS:GO tournament, which will be run by ESL Poland from January 18th-20th in Katowice under the wing of the IEM event.
ALSEN, who sit seventh in the EPS league, were the surprise package of the qualifier, defeating aSperagamers in the semi-finals to earn a showdown with Team From Korea, who had been the losing finalist of the second Polish qualifier.
After winning the first map, de_train_se, with a 16:4 scoreline, ALSEN suffered a 16-14 defeat on de_inferno_se, but then kept their cool and secured a 16-14 victory on de_nuke_ve to earn themselves a place in the four-team tournament.

ALSEN will join Slovakia-based side MYDGB.NET and fellow countrymen ESC Gaming and MaxFloPlay at the event, which will take place inside Spodek, the country's biggest and most famous multipurpose arena complex.
