After showing you our selection of the ten best CS 1.6 frags from the past year, we now present you our Top 10 Counter Strike: Global Offensive highlights of 2012, featuring special color commentary by WarOwl.

As the calendars changed to 2013, we at HLTV.org set out to recap some of the best moments of the previous year, starting with Top 10 highlights from the now almost extinct Counter Strike 1.6. Next up in our series of recaps are the best individual actions from that game's successor, CS:GO.

In this countdown we see some old names, such as Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas who has two actions featured, as well as Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and the player whose highlight marked year 2010, Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev. But we also see some new stars and players who came from the CS:Source scene, mainly Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom who never stopped impressing since he stepped onto the big stage.

Really? I thought it was a unique touch honestly, might not be much of a "frag movie" as without commentators but it does make it look more professional in a way. Reminding us that it is an e-sport after all.

Not really. Every highlight of football has someone introducing whats happening. Its a necessity for anyone who doesnt know the teams in question or the players.

never played source, but the guy who shot was also hungarian, and it was posted on the hungarian 1.6 community site(which is for source players too, but there are way more 1.6 news), and it was nice, btw never been to cadred, and this comment shows how narrow-minded the half of the 1.6 community really is

Also to note, such frags as Whindanski vs mTw or jw vs Virtus.pro were lost since only old GOTV demos are working from pre-update versions of CS:GO. Old POV demos are not working. It could have been more awesome though, with all the frags :)

A lot of good frags which were available only in POV demos were lost. These demos just don't work after all these updates. This Top 10 movie was made from all the GOTV demos available. It could have been more awesome with all those 'lost' frags!

narrative is cheesy and unnecessary. Music only with text overlay for some context is better.

they Lost the Pistol it was an eco and he played pretty good if he was just standing still and try to kill all 5 he might have died coz its a very high level of gaming doing this in an eco is pretty difficult yea MAG -7 can kill in 1 shot and it is easy to use but not on that level.

Because that gun is simply not that great. In a high level of play, it's easy to shutdown someone with a mag-7 esp when they're ecoing..

It's the same reason why acing a team in an open-level team is far less interesting than acing an invite-level team.

Well, nice editing for sure. Most frags were...boring. Nothing special+mostly bad play by the enemies. The deagle 1-shots were sick tho.

Great movie i think zqk could have been higher really cool boost/frags. Also it would have been nice if the caster explained on #5 with taz that he was 1v5 and the VG squad new exactly where he was. Overall good year good frags good start for GO ^^

ZQK's frag was miles better than Get_Rights #2 :S I mean Get_Rights really wasn't even that good and part of me thinks it was only put there to appease some fans.

Also the American fake radio voice shoutcasting made me cringe, but apart from that great edit and very nice frags for the most part.
