Now that 2012 has come to an end, we at HLTV.org have put together a video showing the top 10 highlights of the year in CS 1.6.
Ever since CS:GO was released, the focus of the community - and also of this website - has shifted to the new game, but we at HLTV.org will never forgot how we got here, so we have a special treat for all those who followed the 1.6 scene throughout all these years.
In this video, which was produced by Igor "razor" Pudovkin, you will see frags from not only big-name players, such as Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, Filip "Neo" Kubski and Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, but also from some lesser known players from across the globe.
Stay tuned to our website for more insane action, as our video with the best CS:GO highlights of the year will be released later in the week.
Farewell CS1.6 it has been a greatfull run and joy all these years. I have welcomed go but words cant discribe how passionate I felt for this game 1.6
A chapter irl has just ended. I will cuntinoue to follow PRO scene and may the first team to best nip stay together strong in te feature.

For example I found music quite relaxing & enjoyable in this "last year cs1.6 summary OTBF"
definitely there is no need for kinda HARD ROCK ALLELUJAH!!!

In conclusion, why are you causing a shitstorm and drama for no reason what so ever, are you really that butthurt or are you indeed a 'nerd' yourself ironically.

However it's just about time to someone come and comment something like "Game for wooden computers".
You're telling me that i'm causing drama when there's already an unstoppable flame war going on in every thread.
By looking at the way you replied to me i don't really know who is the butthurt here :)

Anyway, nice video, brilliant frags but didn't like the music. Still enjoyed it.
Oh and I don't miss it, because I'm still playing it.
i doesnt think it derseves number1 spot imho
God, what a joke.
Talking about butthurt...
all skilled are not playing anymore or are playing cs:go
go play 1.6 vs low level players, have fun.
If this is the case, how come you're some no name random, nobody has ever heard of? Enlighten me.
I agree, for you, CS:GO move was better than 1.6. But that's you and obviously it's your opinion, just like mine. :)
now in CS:GO I can play with players like friberg, allu, get_right, scream, kirby, guardian and many more
if I play ESEA europe 1.6 now ... I would play agains who? there are not top teams/players in 1.6 anymore, because the game is dead on competition level
Post edited 2013-01-02 15:47:13
Also, there were a million other things when 1.6 existed competitively which don't exist now, that adds nothing to the argument/duscussion.
p/s: this reply is only for this post, and i won't reply any yours after this post, but if you want to waste time, suit yourself!!

Only reason I think the cs 1.6 movie > the csgo move is due to noppo and zneels insane frags
At least a top30 is needed :)
In some years I will watch this movie for the nostalgia, but that CS:GO background is totally misplaced.
I think, someone should do top 100 of all time.
And btw, don't you guys think that karrigan's AWP 1on5-try against Na'Vi @ train deserved a place among the top 10 highlights?
Good job razor!
Cs 1.6 forever!

Where can I find VOD's/livestreams/shoutcasts (in English) for some of the larger tournaments? In fact, where can I find them for previous tournaments, say starting from 2008?
