The simple mathematical equation for Decimal odds is: Bet x Odds = Payout.

For example, you want to bet on Team A but the prematch odds are 1.2, which doesn’t provide much of a payout. Instead of placing a pre-match bet, you wait until the match is live. In the match, Team A loses the first map (Team B’s map pick), and once the second map goes live, suddenly, Team A’s odds to win are higher at 1.9 due to the aforementioned map loss.
Here’s where things get interesting. Team A wins the second map (their map pick) and the odds go down to 1.2 again. They then proceed to win the match. This is called a reverse-sweep. The best time to have placed a bet in this scenario is after the first map, and before Team A started to build a lead on the second map. If you placed a 100 bet on Team A via pre-match options, you would get 120 back, effectively winning 20. However, if you placed a bet for Team A to win at the correct time, you would get 190 back, effectively winning 90.
