Astralis - In a very good form, last time they won ECS, and also participated at least in 2 finals. One of the contenders to win the whole shit.
Fnatic - Relatively new lineup, did not even have a chance to show them. If they prepared a lot while there were tournaments, they might surprise. However, the semifinals are maximum what they can reach :(
Virtus Pro - They have had quite a lot of tournaments to play, and they won most part of them. Decided to take a break even earlier to prepare for Major only. This is a good sign, definitely can reach to finals, but it has been quite a long time since they were in the finals of the Major and nerves might break at that point despite huge experience.
Flipsid3 - top 3-4 CIS team, on the same level as HR. Gambit and Na'Vi are slightly ahead. Honestly, do not expect them to go through group stages. But they might surprise by winning one map from top team. With that being said, i dont believe that they can keep the consistency and show very good performance throughout the whole tournament.
SK - Damn, this is hard. The point here is that, 4 core players of SK won last 2 majors, and it was 2-0, 2-0 in the finals. They have fox, he's an old 1.6 players, nerves will not be an issue. At this point, i think that they will have troubles with swiss system, and they might not even get out of the group. BUT, if they do. It will give them a moral boost, with which they can reach to the finals. But the chances are not so high..
Na'Vi - Let's be honest here. They sucked a huge cock on last 2 tournaments. The coaching rule hitted them really badly. But, s1mple, man. This guys puts so much effort into his games, and preparation. If all Na'Vi members will do the same, they can be unstoppable. The fucking symbiosis on this team. Tons of Experience + Skill, i think on paper they are better than all of the teams in major. However, it does not mean shit, if they don't have the leader in the team, they can not realize their potential without a very good IGL. If seized will perform well in this role, they can reach to the top and start their own era. But without that, i dont see them even making out of the groups.
Liquid - I am a fan of this team, just, no words. A fucking joke..
Gambit - I love this guys, i dont know why tho. I just feel so happy that Zeus after being KICKED from Na'Vi can win tournaments. Just as a reminder they won Godsent and Cloud9 in bo3 to win DH. I dont see them to do some crazy shit, and go straight to final e.t.c. But i believe they have enough skill+ experience to go out of the groups. This guys, AdreN and Dosia got trashed by Fnatic last time. But what i saw from Hobbit, and other guys. I am 95% sure they will not be an easy opponents to any team. Sincerely, wish good luck to this cool dudes.
Faze - I am happy for Kio and his performance lately, he proved that he is not 'THE PROBLEM" heh, and also Karrigan proved again that 5 highly skilled players are nothing without a good IGL. They can win most of the team, but i think they will have a problems with very structural teams such as Astralis, VP. The raw skill is not enough at this point, communication might play a role in a high tense situations. I can see them going out of the groups, but it is not gonna be easy.
Mousesports - Niko changed his playstyle from "hard carry" to something structural, so not everything will be based on his game. The hard carry mod is very risky, and mostly do not pay off. They have had 9 straight LAN losses before qualifications. It means that all of the team members are highly dependant on their mood, if the game will not go as they want it to, they will just simply throw. Unfortunately, the chances for them to go out of the groups is 50-50. But further on, in bo3. No chances with current structure...
Optic - they have shown a very good performance in last 4 tournament, straight in finals. However, the statistics sometimes do not mean everything. If you saw the 2 finals between Astralis and Optic. You could see that it was 2 COMPLETELY different games. at Eleague, Astralis played like bunch of retards and thought they could win purely with their skill. Optic proved that they are more skilled than Danish guys. The next final, they realized that Optic mostly very agressive on their CT side. And they just simply outplayed them, not OUTAIMED. The point here is that, if Optic on their way meets very structural team. Optic will have a big troubles. They can, and they will get out of the groups. But further on, it is going to be quite hard for them. Obvioulsy if opposing team will not choke and play for frags, lol.
Godsent - Wad up now Swedeees. 3 - 0 on qualifiers. Before that, got fucked in the ass really badly. I think they will have a chance to prove the community that they are not a trash team. I think that lack of performance from znajder and pronax will have an impact on the team overall. semifinals, if they got really lucky with opponents.
EnvyUs - I saw the last game versus Vega, and the games before as well. To be honest, that should have been 16-11 for Vega, if Vega would not do some rookie mistakes. Lets be really honest here, Frenchies did not have path as HR or G2 had. But what happend is that they qualified, and that is only what matters from this point on. I still believe that they have something, but i think they won't be able to do it and go out of the groups..
G2 - This team with Scream and Shox, they can be so good, But at the same time, they can be a trash team. No consistency, at all. Yesterday, i watched the game versus Immortals from Smithz's point of view. Man, i just wanted to cry. The amount of silly plays that he did, just literally got Immortals 14 rounds. I mean, i am not biased toward's him because of "YOOOO LES NOOBS" but, just look at his plays and in game decisions if you have an understanding what proffesional CS is. Fucking disaster..
Dignitas - The Danish CS started rising, and i think dignitas might prove that they are not behind of Astralis. Their current form is really good, and they are very structural and consistent team. I believe it is possible for them to reach the semis. At least i hope so.
Hellraisers - They have been changing their lineup consistently for 2 years i believe. And they finally got to the major. I did not expect this kind of performance from them, but their path on qualifiers was really hard and they truly deserve to be on major. I can't wait for their matchup against other CIS teams which would be really cool to watch. I think they can show some good cs to us.
