Hey there HLTV.org Community, My name is Luca "e x R'" Jebautzke. I'm from Germany and will turn 20 in a month. I love creating videos, especially gaming related videos, that's why i wanted to post this blog on here.
Some of you may have noticed my recent activitiy spamming one video after another in the Movie Section of HLTV's forums.
My moviemaking history
Something short regarding my Moviemaking History: I've started editing my first ever online Multiplayer Game called Star Wars Battlefront 2 back in the days around 2008, most of them aren't on my channel anymore, but I still have some of these videos on my YouTube channel. (Ohhh dem nostalgia)
Okay let's continue, after ending my SWBF2 carreer I've started uploading some CSS and later on many, many Battlefield 3 Videos. None of them getting really known or whatever, so I also stopped with these Games.
After uploading some random Games, even CSGO at some point (a short time after the release of the game), I've found out about a game called ShootMania. I really fall in love with this game, having the potential of being a really good eSports Title. But Nadeo failed at promoting it the right way. Anyways it was the game which i put the most work in, creating 3 big Movies by date (I'm even working on a 4th one right now) and the first time getting some money out of it. Not much, but at least something for my hard work. You can watch my latest creation out of these movies right here:
After seeing that the competitive scene in ShootMania was dieing rapidly I've searched for another Game to continue with, a Game which has the audience to be watched by many viewers who hopefully enjoy my work, and who has the competitive scene I love about gaming. I always was a competitive player, I love the competition and everything around eSports. So I came back to CS:GO and started creating Highlight videos like many others do. My first goal was, to release at least 2 videos per week. In the end it was 2 videos a day for about 8 days because I've recorded too many frags out of the demos I got in the beginning. The last days there was only one video released a day, which is okay I guess.
What I want to do
I really want to stay active like this in the future, I got some nice feedback about most of my videos and that really motivates me alot.
But now i need YOU: What do you want the most, I've released more or less 3 types of videos so far.
1. Normal short Highlight Clips (with and without commentary):
2. Edited Highlight Clips (with and without commentary):
3. Funny/Stunning Videos:
So what kind of videos do YOU enjoy the most? If I go by views, the third kind of videos seems like the way to go. But maybe you even have some other ideas? I sadly don't have the time to watch every stream, so I'll miss many good scenes but I'll try my best to give everyone the best viewing experience possible.
So far from my side, that's my first blog ever. Hopefully not the last one and hopefully you've enjoyed reading it and give me some good feedback. It's all about the community
agree, some things are really stupid. But what I -as a moviemaker- enjoy the most, is the replay editor and replay saving function. It's just the easiest and the most powerful tool i've ever seen in a game :D
But yea, the game is dead even tho I had a nice time in it :(
It HAD potential, but I don't think Nadeo/Ubisoft will get it back into the esports buissness after ESWC is done.
yes this is a blog for views. What do you think how YouTube works? Do you think any YouTuber would continue doing videos if he doesn't get Views anymore?
Do you think tweeday would continue with only 50 views per video? I don't think so.
The motivation to create more videos is because some hundred or even thousands of ppl enjoy watching them.
i like playermovies with communication between the player and editor(lots of pov content)
havent really seen anything close to this good in cs:go
hard work I guess, but this is really the only kind of stuff im interested watching personally
I agree, it's also what I enjoy the most. But like you said, it's really hard work. (But I already got the opportunity to go to a LAN with a team and create a movie with RL footage, so let's see how's that going :) )
And I still need to figure out everything about moviemaking in CSGO, need to leanr how to make nice smooths etc.
I'm sadly still a beginner
Nice clips. I like the non-edited/slightly edited highlights and funny clips.
Would be great if you would make fragmovies in the future. We just need much more movies for CS:GO!
However, great work, keep going!
thanks man :D don't forget to watch the other two SM movies too :P and btw: I'm working on my last big SM movie about a germany Team atm, will still take about 2 months I guess until it's finished
And yea it's really sad that SM didn't get that big =( Really enjoyed my time in SM
I enjoy analytical videos, where caster express his observations about unwritten aspects of different games or industry as whole, like logic behind gameplay, why is that part in game fun to play, why does that game feels boring to play, why is that game popular, etc...
But it's not like it's an useful suggestion, unless you can actually be very good at it.
