We've got a few things that are supposed to be "best in the world" -Beer -Chocolate -French fries (invented here too) -Music festivals (can't say anything about quality, but we've got some of the biggest, and we've got the biggest amount on the smallest area) -National football team (arguable. I don't care much for football but they're #1 on fifa rankings iirc) -Best country for any sport that revolves around cycling

Im sorry Mr Belgium, but the best beer nations are still germany and czech rep. You have some really nice brands and are without a doubt top 5, but brands per inhibitants isnt the most important measure. Turkey is dog shit tho and saying they have better beer than you is as brain dead as it gets.

I'm sorry Mr. Noflag, but it's without question 1) Belgium 2) USA (big advancement over the years) 3) might surprise you but Austria Germany and Czech republic don't even get in the top 3. Their brands are never rated well. There's a reason in the USA over half of the new breweries are making "belgian style" beer. There's a reason in the World Beer Awards, there's a separate category just for "Belgian style" beers. If you know anything about beer you know that Belgium is number 1.

You're not very informed about the beer world. USA has many microbreweries with increasingly good quality. Will be only a matter of time before they overtake Belgium. Pliny the Elder is an american beer that's been rated Top 3 beers in the world for a while now

It's not even funny how much Belgium is ahead compared to the rest of the world when it comes to beer and probably chocolate. Had the opportunity to visit Buxelles a couple of months ago and i was in seventh heaven beer-wise. Srsly, best fucking beer in the world.

It's funny how countries like Germany and Czech Republic tend to get all of the fame in terms of beer, while the only good beers they can make are pilsners and lagers, which tend to be pretty tasteless in general. Heavy beers is where it's at. And Belgium excells in that. I went to Prague to check out the whole beer hype and I was VASTLY disappointed, thought their beer would be way better.
