NT VETTEL FANBOY!! It started dying in 2010 with fking redbulls, not with mercedes, it just continues dying with them. Otherwise 2011 Canada confirmed

I'm Alonso fanboy actually. I think Vettel 4 consecutive titles was not like 2014 or 2015, maybe in 2011 when he won 11 races but in 2010 Ferrari gave Vettel the tittle when they forced Alonso to stop so early @Abu Dhabi and in 2012 Alonso lost the title in Spa thanks to Mr Grosjean.
2016-02-25 22:37
Ok, i'm less mad now. I fkin hate Vettel fanboys. This man can drive only from pole and overtake only with DRS and fresher tyres. The damn redbull-plane gave him 4 titles with little help from Ferrari's stupid strategy in 2010 with Alonso stucked 20 laps behind Petrov.

you have no idea about f1,vettel is one of the best if not the best right now.if you watched the 2015 you could see how much pace he has and how he came from the back many times(abu shabi for example) to get a really good result.and how is it his fault that he started from the pole and dominated to the end in his redbull years?`what did you expect him to do? not take pole because a bulgarian finds it boring? btw kimi fan here, dont even try to call me a vettel fanboy, but if you cant see his class you are delusional.
2016-02-25 22:57
I'll tell you some reasons i dont like Vettel and his "class" but first - It's obvious that he will win from pole if he can, the point is he cant do it without a first grid. You say to look at 2015 and his "comebacks" but look at 2014 and how the rookie in Red Bull kicked his ass. I personally dont like Vettel because his years of dominations sucked and were boring and you know what...i fking hate the fact that every single time his car is perfect and the other team-car is fking bullshit. Look at Webber...he had technical issues in every 2 races..Vettel's plane - NEVER. Look at Kimi... his Ferrari had so much problems..Vettel's not...Mercedes might be everything, but they give their pilots same cars and let them race..just Hamilton is better.

yes he had a bad season in 2014(ricciardo wasnt a rookie),but everyone had bad seasons. hamilton 2011 where he crashed into massa everytime and got owned by button.kimi, basically every second year.alonso last year(yes his car was shit, but it's not like he was super fantastic apart from hungary) etc. his domination was tiring i give you that but it's never been 2 years in a row like mercedes are right now.tbh i find the mercedes domination much more boring.and it's not a secret that teams give their number 1 driver the better equipment, because he is more likely to bring results.remember abu dhabi 2014 and how rosbergs car got fucked or singapour where he dnf'ed because of one little cable?
2016-02-25 23:12
I meant the rookie in particular team, but that's irrelevant. The point with Mercedes is that its not so obvious. With Red Bull it was almost funny. To be honest I'm already hungry for team battles. I want at least 4 cars that can win races and NO FKIN TEAM ORDERS. I want both Ferrari cars to win races apart from Mercedeses which is clear that they are hiding their pace in pre-seasons right now. Also i want some rainy races with some action and maybe some red-bull winner. I actually almost dont have a favourite driver. If i must chose one though, i will say Button, no matter how hypocrate it sounds after i attacked Vettel so furiously. Alonso might been my fav(according to piloting class) but he is such a whining b*tch, which pisses me off.

that what we all want bro.a second 2007 or 2008 season and i'm set. why not kimi though?he is not as good as he used to be but he is a great guy and because he is not as good as he used to be cheering for him becomes way more emotional when he gets a great result :D
2016-02-25 23:28
Kimi...yeah great driver and he never cries and complains which is fine by me just i dont like Ferrari :D everyone cheers for Ferrari and im sick of listening how much everyone wants the title back in Maranelo. But after no more than 2-3 years Button, Kimi, Alonso and Massa will be retired and than...i have to pick someone from the next generation. Vettel...i said enough here :D, Hamilton thinks he is a god and is too arrogant, Rosberg doesnt have champion skills. Maybe i'll go with Verstapen or Bottas(if he doesnt go to Ferrari). Time will tell. Just give me an interesting 2016 PLEASE :D

Partially agreed, since 2010 it's been boring as never to watch a formula 1 race. But it started dying since the introduce of eletronic suspensions on the cars in 1994~1995. Before this eletronic shits formula 1 was much more about the driver. Nowadays it doesnt care, you just need a good designer and good engeneering to win races, the car does almost everything alone.
2016-02-25 22:41
The cars do less for the driver now than they did even in 2008 after the TC ban. But the engineering makes them less punishing to drive. And that's not helped by so many circuits having parking lots on the edge of the track instead of gravel or grass or Armcos.

Didnt know that, but for me it stills not enough. Formula 1 should ban the whole eltronic shit and get back to the old formula 1 from the 80's ~ early 90's. It would be fantastic watching a thriller race with new talented drivers showing up. It was such a great sport, but the technology ruined it.
2016-02-25 22:53
Nothing the driver touches control wise goes through a computer. Brake bias has to be manual, steering has to be hydraulic, suspension has to be 100% mechanical with hydraulic damping, throttle position was electronically controlled for a period in the early 2010's when the cars used exhaust blown diffusers but that's since been regulated to where the throttle position can only be manipulated by the pedal. All of the energy recovery shit is adjusted electronically but that has no bearing whether an individual car goes faster relative to other cars, because each team is going to optimize these settings at each circuit, anyway. What's killing F1 are the gimmicks (DRS, ERS, qualifying formats, rubber eraser tires), shitty drivers with sponsorship money, poor quality and boring circuits and how stifled development is for what's supposed to be the most advanced racing series in the world. Prototype sports car racing is making more innovations and advances than F1 has lately. Touring cars have better racing. GT sports cars have more parity and greater competition. WRC has a more stunning spectacle. And all of the above sound better.

The eletronic suspension adjust the car in order to make it more stable, that being said it takes less effort from the driver to find the best grip and maintain the car on the trace which leads to a lower skill ceilling when driving. In the past the driver had to work harder specially in the wet weather. I don't know much as you when talking about those mechanic and eletronic f1 technologies but my point is that all those implements in the f1 car only made it easier to drive. Since the early 2000's it is much more about the car than the driver.
2016-02-26 00:09
Why are you talking about electronic suspension when it's been 100% mechanical and hydraulic since 1994? Everything I told you is why the cars involve the driver more now than they have in over two decades. This year they won't even be able to use preset clutch bite point finders that help at the start.

Not really, no. The drivers are just in better physical condition and tend to make it look easier. There are few mistakes, but also fewer risks. #31.

It was the one where Alonso was being a lil more favourite on it because it was a rainy day I remember. It was the last race of the season, Alonso and Vettel were figting for the title. It was that one right?, Brazil 2012, or I'm mistaken?
2016-02-26 00:53
Bahrain 2014, the battle between Hamilton and Rosberg, epic. I know it is new school but still, great race.

Well, i started watching f1 consistently about a year and a half ago (although when i was much younger, i would wake up really early to see the races, but i dont really remember much of that time, i only remember being in love with Ferrari and Schumacher), and to be honest, there wasn´t a recent (2014-onwards) race that i really liked. But if i have to choose, it would be either monaco 92 (what a fucking beast mansell was in that season), and of course, donnington 93 which had THE. BEST. LAP. OF. ALL. TIME. PERIOD. Btw, did anyone see the test for this season, mercs still have the best laptimes, right?
2016-02-25 23:09
Mercs are still lightning. A McLaren actually caught fire this morning.
2016-02-25 23:12
Was it alonso´s mclaren? i hope that mercedes let rosberg and hamilton battle it out in the track, and that they don´t do that team order shit, at least just for the sake making the season more interesting
2016-02-25 23:17
It's Jenson's day for testing. But he wasn't in the car when it happened, at least. And teams let drivers fight up until they need to lock up a WCC spot. That's how Merc has played it before. And how RBR and McLaren have in the past.

what is the general opinion on mansell, button and hamilton in the uk? does mansell talk to the press, or does he have more of a private life?
2016-02-25 23:19
Mansell was always a fairly quiet guy, he got shit from the press for being "boring" or w/e, always made me respect him more honestly, hell of a driver

I missed alot of races, as I swong over from F1 to Indycar 2015 (Merc dominance makes me sick, even as a German) Vettels years havent been such dominant in a row. 2010 was a hard fight of him, Webber and Alonso and the victory in Abu Dhabi was really intense, after all the DNFs and mistakes he made. 2011 was dominant, but also because Mclaren was retarded. 2012 Mclaren fucked up their car and the final in Brazil was really intense. 2013 was again dominant. But 2014 and 2015 was a joke, not only was Merc totally miles away of other teams, their "teamfight" always felt like a mock up joke, they have hidden their true potential even during races... really boring. I am no old elitist, when it comes to F1, I like the new Engines (as I can now visit races without ear-protection), but Mercs dominance in addition to their personal makes me vormit, seeing Toto Wolf has overtaken seeing Dr. Marko by far. For the best races? Hungary last year was the only good race that year. The finals of 2012 and 2010 have been intense, Korea was once cool thanks to the rain, Istanbul 2010 is legend, Singapor 2008 because of Crashgate and Massas Pitstop, Spa 1994. I remember much more Indy Car races from the past then F1 races. Indy brings much better racing and tracks at the moment, even when it is hard to watch for me.
