it's not easy but you can do more things movement related in 1.6

dankfunfact:
When you're running with scout you run 10 units faster than the knife.

maybe it is OP, but at least it is consistent. I personally prefer consistency over luck.
2016-06-05 21:30
bhopping is way too ez in 1.6 and that russian duck walking is just stupid.
2016-06-05 21:30
oh my god those kidz nowadays. are you serious or trolling?
1.6 movement is about a trillion times harder than cod:go "movement"
2016-06-05 21:32
1.6 movement and gameplay was flawless.
2016-06-05 21:33
> movement
> counter-strike
pick one
2016-06-05 21:38
what I miss the most is the russian duck and the fact that you could do mini ducks between shots and bursts and getting up on small ledges.
only noobs did bind +duck to mwheelup ;)
2016-06-05 21:45
In 1.6 you felt like you were in control of whatever you do. In CS:GO you're veeeeery restricted. Everyone who played 1.6 for a few years will agree.
2016-06-05 21:52
i played 1.6 and i'm happy there is no more russian walk. it's cheat because you're more silent but fast and it fucks up your hitbox
the peaking was better in 1.6 thanks to the crouch reactivity or smth
2016-06-05 21:55
1.6, bhop all day, never miss a hop
css, too easy to bhop can just do laps around the map without even trying
csgo, lucky to hit 3 hops in a row, bit easier on 128 tick but still not consistent at all, but when you do hit like 6 or 7 hops in a row its very rewarding
2016-06-05 21:57
1.6 is not about bhopping only it was also about ducking about , but jumping backwards and sideways to avoid bullets and amazing ladder movements...
It was based on same engine as quake (if I remember well) so u can understand how good could be the movements
2016-06-05 22:07
You may be able to bunny hop a lot easier in 1.6 but there's different levels of bunnyhopping. If you can reach max forward speed and hop under objects and do all the longest jumps in the game then you know you're good. Just YouTube cs 1.6 bunnyhopping or something. There's tons of stuff on inferno/d2/nuke/train that is so fucking hard to do it took years to master it
2016-06-05 22:38
1.6 movement was just in another level, not comparable to csgo movement
2016-06-05 23:13
I loved the movement in 1.6 but once crouch hopping/silent running caught on it started to get a little ridiculous.
2016-06-05 23:14
How the fk is movement in 1.6 easier than csgo? lmao. Retarded kids these days pretending they know shit lol. In order to bhop in 1.6, you gotta jump and crouch. Basically, it's tricky to bhop in 1.6. In csgo, all you need to do is jump. Cs devs made it this way so anybody can bhop in csgo without a problem. not so much in 1.6.

No begrip - No CS
Cant knifed to the head anymore, like wtf?
2016-06-06 00:08
CS:S movement was so f@#king easy, easy bhops as you can see proven by LOLYOU and Phoon
2016-06-06 00:08
by "better movements", it means 1.6 allowed for high skill in movement. Theres a lot of stuff you could do aside from bhop, liek gstrafe and the movement allowed for neat tricks like getting onto little ledges without jumping by using that crouch hop technique.
CSGO its all the same, limited movement by nerfing bhop, ppl will mostly play the same style, thats y u cant even distinguish individual pros from their movements except for a few (like JW).
The only new and cool thing in CSGO is the runboost
2016-06-06 03:05
movement in 1.6 was the hardest part of the game
if we talk about semipro or prolevel.
there is a big gap between semipro players and pro players JUST CAUSE OF MOVEMENT.
in 1.6 we got many young talents. sweden mjaomode community (molander etc.) + keiz manne and other sick players.
in russia we got seized hally and other players. all of this guys played 1.6 for years and they didnt even reach top10 anyway. it was all about lan experience and movement. and after it about aim. 1.6 was the hardest game to master ever.
when in csgo every year we got new talents who can play on toplevel and just get top4 on major or some shit like that. in go u need only aim, in 1.6 u need brain.
RIP ENGLANDO

Csgo movement hard. :D
what movement?
2016-06-06 12:12
+1 if you know to g-strafe in 1.6
2016-06-06 12:13
you can bhop more than 2 jumps easily tho
2016-06-06 12:17
cs 1.6 movement, sound, hitreg > csgo
2016-06-06 20:50
I think that you can achieve similar movement (nowhere near exact) if you put the time into it. For the past two weeks I've been focusing on BHops and headshots and can go 25-5 with 70% HS ratio + string together about 4-6 bhops usually. Idk if I would call 1.6 better, but it fit in that era, I think the CSGO still has lots of balancing to do IMO.
2016-06-06 21:03
Movement i 1.6 was so much harder and it seperated the bad players from the good. People saying cs:go movement is harder are kids who haven't played 1.6 enough.
2016-06-08 17:00
I won't claim that I was good at 1.6 but I still can say that GO's movement feels more glidey.
1.6 along with Q3 had the most crisp, precise feel of movement.
2016-06-08 20:38
Bhop in 1.6 is the most easy thing..
