Becoming part of HLTV
Germany Falecxx
Hello dear Community, I am honestly sorry for just asking this way, but I couldn't find any other. Just to introduce myself, I am Vincent, 19 years old and I am studying journalism in Germany. One of the tasks in my first semester was to create a magazine. I decided to do a magazine just about E-Sports and for me personally, it turned out to be a lot of fun. It really made me happy as I could write something I feel passionate about. To cut a long story short, is there any application slots for journalists at HLTV or any other way to take part in any journalistic form at HLTV as a rookie journalist to the scene? I am new to the forums, sorry if I actually overlooked anything about that topic. Thanks in advance, Vincent

Ignore him, HLTV is full of people who like to insult others for fun. There is a lot of nice content, but it's hard to come across. Nice people are also very hard to find, but they are out there.

Sorry if I do not get that if it is sarcasm, but do they really look for writers?
2017-01-11 23:19
team-dignitas.net/articles/news/Team-Dig.. yeah, lots of other esports brands look for writers too but they basically want you to write for free
2017-01-12 00:23
I see, thank you very much for your help. I've applied for Dignitas now.

Welcome! HLTV is sometimes a hard and somewhat toxic place, so get used to it. But there are lots of good people and good content here so you'll probably enjoy the stay.

Here's a tip: If you want to work somewhere, introduce yourself professionally instead of giving your resume to everyone who walks into the building.
2017-01-11 22:14
I totally feel what you are saying. This was also my concern when I first wrote this. I did not intend to directly write my resume and this isn't my resume at all, but I wanted to introduce myself somehow. Unfortunally there is nothing like an "application" section, or atleast I could not have found it. Thank you for your tip though.

studying journalism in Germany is like learning to hide and to downplay things which do not correspond to your worldview
2017-01-11 23:24

Pleased to meet you, Falecx :) Best of luck on your goal to become apart of HLTV :D If you need any advice or helps when it comes to English, please let me know and I'd be glad to lend assistance. Have a good day, friend. Welcome to HLTV.
2017-01-12 14:46

There are application times when HLTV officially open their job section. It's not easy to officially apply, and I can't always say their methods are the best. Although you're probably better off just doing what you just did, getting in contact with any of the staff personally so they can either vouch for you or you can just simply show your potential.

Hello Greeneyed, I have contaced Martin now and I'm waiting for a response. Thank you for your tip.
