Hopefully ESL. ESL might have some problems but the atmosphere in their events is the best.

I think PGL is still better than ESL. Think about this, ESL have been running CS tournaments for many many years and PGL have never done this big of a CS event. Of course there would be some mistakes but gotta forgive them because this is their first time.

You have to forgive them for not preparing at all (shit tier computers) and being unable to deal with a sound problem that occured every single game? Nice kappa

only a minority of players complained about the computers. People complained about i5 processor PC's before the major started and they changed it instantly, not even in 24 hours. Every single issue got fixed in the later days. Not even talking about Shroud who didn't even realised that he didn't have NVidia drivers in his computer but still played the entire game without any issue. Most of the players and the talent praised PGL for their work and only a minority complained. I watched PGL's events both in CS and DotA2 and this is the only tournament that had any mistake so why not give them another chance.

Have you even read the open letter from a dota 2 tournament worker to valve to never work with pgl again?

Read that reddit post one more time, then read the comments explaining the other side of the story. It's just ESForce taking the piss on PGL because they couldn't get the major. It's basically a sabotage imo. That post was also written by a RuHub employee and If I remember correctly RuHub is OWNED by ESFORCE. There needs to be a competition. Valve understands this and glves the tournament and broadcasting rights to different sides every year so one side cannot make monopoly. This applies for CSGO as well. ESL had many majors and now it's changing to different companies so ESL can't have the monopoly.

2017-07-23 21:06
it doesnt even have to be in atlanta or NA even, they just had it there bcuz Turner is based in atlanta
2017-07-23 21:07
yeah I know but I doubt theyll leave theyre home town, if they have it in NA they should have it like Miami Colombus again or even in like Toronto

Valve could change the Major system now. They changed it for Dota2 recently and it seems quite possible with CSGO too. Also please change the Swiss system to a Seeded system with Double Elimination Bracket to avoid teams like Immortals reaching the final.

MLG is owned by Activision now and I don't think they'll do a CS major and in fact I don't think they'll do any tournament other than CoD. ESL became so big that they don't need Valve to have a major. They could just beef the prize pool and with the help of WESA they can gather big teams to their events easily. I honestly don't think that they'll get a major and they should never get another major AGAIN. PGL for their first time in their life made mistakes and I think that's forgivable. They deserve another major but please, PLEASE, no mistakes this time. ELEAGUE is the best option for another major. They're backed up by a major company (Turner) and they have enough professionalism to run a big major (Like the last time). Dreamhack does pretty well job at getting the job done but they don't seem to add to the experience anything at all. I wouldn't have problem with them having a major but there are more companies deserving it. EPICENTER only made 1 tournament for CS but other than the system they used they did a well job with no major issues. They can have a chance but I think they need more CS tournaments to deserve a major. Starladder is the home of CIS CS and they do excelent job at presentation and execution. I have no idea why havent they recieved a major yet. ECS owned by FaceIT, needs to step up their game to deserve a major. They have the potential but I don't think that they aim to have a major like ELEAGUE. And Finally: Valve = We need a Valve Major. I think CSGO deserves to have a direct tournament from the developer like DotA2 TI. Just set the Key Arena up and get GabeN there to open up the tournament with a "Welcome to the Valve Major". And also announce Source2 for CSGO with that. Not even mentioning HL3.
