It depends on the day, but I've maxed it a total of 5 times thus far... It was hectic during the CS:GO Major, HLTV was utterly shameful that day. I maxed it out twice two days across the CS:GO major alone. Otherwise, it's actually a pretty good number to leave it on. My only request is to have a counter so users know when they are at their limit in the future. Consider yourself lucky - New users can only post 5-25 a day, depending on how active they are.

Judging by your ID you are doomed. 800k and still with this restriction while there are 900k+ IDs.

Yes, it does. There is a reply cooldown with an overall basis of five-minutes, but that is only due to excessive posting within five minutes itself. It's a filter to reduce spam, same as only posting five topics per day. HLTV is actually fairly lenient when it comes to posting on the forums.

We could even have something like 4000+ comments and you can create 10 topics a day. Real reward levels for being addicted to the site!

That system would be great. Punish the spammers by limitations and give legit users benefits for using the site.

if 2500+ should be 300 then 5000+ should be like 400/450 because its not easy to reach 5000 (even 6000 but im active on this site literally every single minute).

I think it's a good idea to raised the post count of those who are clearly active posters (judged by the comment count, as you stated), but I don't think it's particularly necessary. Otherwise, good idea in general. I agree. I mean-- it would certainly benefit a user who posts a lot (like me) an awful lot in the long run. xD

Being kind to another user might be unusual to yourself, but it's at least admirable to respect other users rather than mocking those that do. Do not cross a line to benefit your own incompetence, INGEMARSSON_. I have done nothing to make you angry with, your issue with me is that of your own incompetent beliefs and assumption - nothing more. I will continue to be kind and courteous towards every user on this site, yourself included, for better or for worse. Have a good night.

Clearly a lot of people, as I'm sure you've seen the replies. I merely answered a question as detailed as possible to ensure the user gets the best possible answer, I received many replies also. You might not care, but that is your opinion and yours alone, you do not speak for everybody else. Your arrogance aside of course, I hope you have a day.

another "reddit wannabe leftist" aproach to hltv lmao, they arent satisfied with hltv pro, now they want to do 150 a day, so... we, honest users that only have 1 acc are basicly "nerfed", and people who fool around with 239042384 acc arent affected =D nt reddit admins xd
2017-08-12 23:26

Not really... The Oskah bait wasn't that special and user that did it was exposed and banned to high-end. Spammers will always be spammers and I can assure you there existed many spammers/baiters before Aika made his account on HLTV. Anti-spam methods has existed for a long time on many, many forums. Since HLTV went for a more modernised approach to it's forum with a rather controversial (but necessary) update, the anti-spam functionality was also updated. It actually makes a lot of sense and is very effective. I've not seen excessive spam once on the new forums, thus proving legitimacy in comparison to the new anti-spam functions: The thread limit/comment limit. It also seems the new HLTV design got rid of a lot of spammers outright, as they couldn't comprehend the mechanics of how the new forum works, as it isn't in your traditional site layout at all - It's much more modern.

Your account is relatively older than most new users and you have a respectable amount of comments accrued overtime, it would've been a bug, possibly due to your inactivity for a while. It'll fix itself, limiting your account to that of 150 replies per day.

If you're a frequent poster, it's actually not that difficult. Do not make such malicious assumptions based upon peoples "life" merely by being active on a public forum.

Not necessarily. You cannot fairly assume maliciously of someone purely because of active forum posting. You have no right and it isn't an apt assumption whatsoever.

Yes I understand this, but you are still insinuating falsely and maliciously at that. You cannot simply state those who are active posters have no "life", that is purely objective. "if you reach that limit you need to question your life" A disrespectful opinion at best, think before you type.

Yeah according to me, actually everything I'm posting on this site is my opinion and if I reach 150 replies in 24 hours I'll probably tell myself it's time to do something more productive

#93
 |
United Kingdom Jonty04l32
"Yeah according to me, actually everything I'm posting on this site is my opinion" Correct. The first thing you've stated that is correct, void of all objectivity. "and if I reach 150 replies in 24 hours I'll probably tell myself it's time to do something more productive" Incorrect. Being active on a forum has nothing to do with lack of productivity, that is according to your intrusive opinion as a whole. Think before you type, do not judge others of having no life merely because of posting on a forum. There is no need for such objectivity and malicious assumption as it's fairly easy to max out 150 replies, if you're an active poster. You are not, therefore your opinion as a whole is invalid, but respectable (to an extent) regardless. Do you understand now? How immature you're being? Let me remind you: "if you reach that limit you need to question your life" Utterly garbage presumption.
