Top 5 worst roster moves
 |
Sweden WhisperingEye
1. Fnatic-GODSENT shuffle 2. NaVi -Zeus | S1mple was a good addition but zeus was the wrong player to kick. 3. OpTic -stanislaw | OpTic became a top 5 team (arguably) and played really good, when stanislaw left they became complete garbage 4. SK -fnx 5. Envyus -kio

no, i mean, the events who were not majors. hltv.org/stats/players/events/9216/coldz.. this year they didn't winned one major, but win more events. hltv.org/stats/players/events/9216/coldz.. and still have more 4 months of competition to win more.
2017-08-02 21:05
They won 2 big events since cologne16 lul

They won ECS3 and IEM Sydney, which are big events, and most notably Cologne '17 that had 8 out of the top 10 teams of the HLTV.org rankings. Not to mention lesser events like CS_Summit and DH Summer. Krakow was a big disappointment for us fans, but even so, This year SK is much stronger than 2016.

At the time i would say zeus was the right player to kick because starix was able to igl for them, and if they were still able to igl with starix they probably would have been a top contender for the majority of tournaments. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, but that doesn't automatically make the change the wrong change.

im pretty sure that, the "update" about coach igling came before zeus got kicked.

Disagree with #4 SK experienced a brief drop off after they replaced FNX but they're back to form. If anything Felps represents an upgrade from FNX. Meanwhile FNX can't even keep a spot in the #2 BR team.

the SK change hasn't really made them worse, just took them awhile to find felps the right role in the team.
2017-08-02 06:08
1. Envyus kicking kio for devil. 2. Last Godsent-Fnatic shuffle. 3. C9 bringing ShahZam. 4. Pimp to liquid 5. +aizy -rubino in North

considering liquids options adding pimp was not a bad move. He was not the reason that liquid sucked

Change #4 to Koosta for adreN, literally was probably the tipping point for s1mple to want out and Koosta ended up being an Onliner

5. +aizy -rubino in North +1, rubino was the perfect support for Magisk, and now Magisk is also gone from North, that Dignitas line up was very good and I believe they could be a tier 1 team if they kept working hard.
2017-08-02 19:02
fnatic. too many shuffles and roster changes. pls ban this org ffs

The whole splyce international roster change
2017-08-02 06:28
1. -Zeus +S1mple 2. -Fugly (Literally clg made it out of groups in the major with him and all because of one map mistake in a tier 2 event they kicked him) 3. -Kioshima +Devil 4. -Rickeh Renegades 5. -Slemmy +Autimatic (autimatic brought firepower to the team, but slemmy was the Igl and he had brains to give c9 good strats, they even challenged luminosity and na'vi back in early 2016 and they used to lose bo3 2-1 against them)
2017-08-02 06:49

how was - rickeh bad they were shit be4 and they are just as shit now clg was playing like shit anyway wen they kicked him. The move didnt make them much worse.
2017-08-02 06:59
C9 just 2-0'd Na'Vi and beat SK a while ago. They're wayyy better than they used to be with Slemmy.

hltv.org/news/18341/team-ranking-july-20.. That was C9 before autimatic replaced slemmy. Great theory. And you think -FugLy and -Rickeh are some of the top 5 worst roster moves? Your list is ridiculous.
2017-08-02 21:19
tho - kio wasnt a good move its not the reason envy started to suck so its not that bad

I fully agree with the first three you mentioned (especially the fact that simple was a good addition and it's lack of Zeus' leadership that brought this team down) but 4thone was actually a good move. SK has a lot better winrate with felps (with fnx they were always getting top4 but almost never winning events). They've already won more tournaments in 2017 than throughout the entirity of 2016 and we're only half way through the year. When it comes to EnVy, they went into a massive slump after winning the Cluj Major and just had to change something. Devil wasn't a good addition but it's still better than keeping the burnt out lineup just because they used to be good. And I think people massively underestimate Stanislaw's departure. Optic turned from one of the best lineups in the world into a team that can't find their identity. It's 6 months since he left and they still haven't established a five man roaster! Stan is doing a good job at Liquid to make them a contender but it's not enough to make up for throwing the promising Optic team away.

we can have a chat ;) technically you're all right but CS scene is just like IRL, human factor is massive and interactions between individuals may and will include both personal and financial interests which overrides common sense, if you will. what we do observe in CS scene is only the top of the iceberg, I believe. as an example, k1o was asked to leave bcs he lost all his motivation and focus after a sudden death of his father earlier that year. nV had to pick a freshman and unfortunately for them devil couldn't keep it up in an upper tier CS... just imagine they'd pick bodyy(and nV had this option) - everything could go entirely other direction, and not only for the French scene.
2017-08-02 22:17
I did not list any changes that the decision to change wasnt up to the team and the player just wanted to leave like in the case with rubino and stanislaw 1.)-dazed/steel +nitro/desi(literally the reason ibp didnt make it out of groups in a major) 2.)Fnatic Godsent shuffle(Is not #1 because the new fnatic roster started to look good) 3.)-Zeus(Only reason this is not higher on the list is cuz the coaching changes would still have heavily effected them and it would have been hard to say how much better navi would be with zeus) 4.)-allu(He was performing welll wen they kicked him if they kicked friberg at that time they would have been instant contenders again) 5.)-scream+kqly(he got banned soon after)

Sk - Fnx shouldnt be in the list. They struggled after fnx yes, but now they've found a way to play with him, and now they are the best team again.

best team certainly not(yes they're #1 and i agree with it,but i dont agree with 1k points) but you see the difference is...fnx is reliable and passive star player,he was/is the one who decided not to play for stats and made the room for cold(and sort of fallen) together with fer,and those two always stepped up when cold and fallen didn't hit their shots, felps is not reliable in that perspective
2017-08-02 21:16

Well, Felps has been pretty reliable and consistent. The thing with this lineup is that, fer has more freedom now. He even said himself that he feels more comfortable playing with this lineup, and he can do more stuff that he wants, and he's been doing very well. So as long as Felps can play more passive, fer, fallen and cold will do most of the work. Ofc Felps still plays aggro on some maps / areas, but fer does it not mostly, and on CT sides he is the only one. But ur right tho, fnx was solid and good clutch player. Who knows how good they would've been if he had had more motivation, and put alot of hours into the game.

idk tbh but the thing is that if they wanted to have felps they would need to replace him with cold(which does not make any sense but it is the star/superstar player for another star/superstar) instead of changing star player for the entry fragger or smth, you could argubly say that sk could of have been gone in the major out in the groups, cold dropped 35 kills in first two maps, one of those two ended up due to some unlucky/lucky clutches..16-13 sk penta

guys you cant argue about this topic cuz nobody knows what realy happening in the teams and which players are realy the problems. there are internal problems which nobody knows about and the statements from the organisations and players arent always the complete truth or the main reasons.
