Stuttering on CSGO
United Kingdom alvezBiceps
Hello guys.. I have been very disapointed lately with my computer performance while playing.. My specs: My CPU: i5 4690k @ 4.2 ghz My GPU: GTX970 SSD: Crucial MX100 Ram: 8 gb 1333mhz Monitor: Benq xl2411z @ 144hz Temperatures: More than fine.. CPU: 58º - Ingame / 30º - Iddle GPU: 55º Ingame / 28º - Iddle The problem: So while playing my game doesnt seem to be smooth like it used to does like stutter and gives me the king of feeling of the image dragging..the fps goes from 250/300 to 180 and the game itself seems like its broke..sometimes more than another but my experience isnt good at all.. I have done everything I could find on the internet..nvidia settings, snd_ fix, changing resolutions etc etc..all I could find I tested..I dont know how can I possibly fix this..I am really tired of not finding a seems to be the game itself..the setup seems to be fine.. Any help is really really apreciated..thanks guys

Nothing wrong with your pc or your settings.... CS is just dumb game that looks like some beta version... Since valve is focusing on Dota and not on CS it wont ever change and it will only get worse and worse... :/

its really sad that you invest much money on something you enjoy and then its like sad really.. :(

my words.... I started on a notebook with 40fps and I spent my entire money from summerjob to make a new PC mainly for CS (but I also play other games) Even after that investment the game still sucks and it has been over a year now without a change :/

same as me..basicly its hearthbreaking..

is it generally speaking or more of a mouse stutter feeling? I had those on my old mouse, had to turn off raw input and to uninstall mouse drivers
2017-08-03 00:51
Do you have an HDD drive and have CSGO installed on it by any chance?
2017-08-03 00:52
installed on SSD, even tho I have an old HDD as storage..
2017-08-03 00:58
a friend of mine who upgraded to a new pc installed the game on an old hdd that he had and the game stuttered a lot, but since you have it installed on SSD the issue is unlikely to be there.
2017-08-03 01:01
mouse seems fine, the image/game seems so strange.. so I can try raw input, even tho mouse drivers cant be the issue since my ec2a doesnt have drivers..

CS is a garbage game with resolution glitches, horrible in game balance of weapons, low skill ceiling, bad anti-cheat, lazy developers who don't seem to care about the community, bugs as seen in the major, etc This isn't your fault obviously...
2017-08-03 00:53
they only see $_$ ..They could improve this game so much..its a shame..

the only reason you think this is because you've invested thousands of hours in the game, if it were any other game people wouldn't complain about stuff like one shitty jump bug what other game you know uses deep learning to catch cheaters the engine is 14 years old and as polished as can be, even with a crap pc you get more than 144 fps which is more than people ask from every other game i'll give you stuff like the cz and negev buffs though

Lemme know if it worked, i've been having some random dragging aswell. The thing is, it's not like it's every match.. It makes it lot more harder for me to understand
2017-08-03 01:09

Even if it works or not, i really suggest to disable it either way, it fucks up cs in other ways :/

If it happened with win7 your problem is different from the one I had. It's so sad that cs is so shit :\

1) 2) xbox dvr off 3) Uninstall GeForce Experience 4) Run taskmgr, move your mouse cursor fast for ~10 sec and make sure your CPU load isn't higher than 5%, otherwise uninstall MS C++. 5) May be try

I know shits old and you probably fixed it already. But your RAM is the absolute lowest frequency, and I read somewhere that it directly impacts CSGO performance (for csgo it's CPU, RAM, GPU. In that order).

solition is installing win 7 thank me later

Had the same problem. Fps got worse and worse everyday. Cleaned my pc and reapplied the thermal paste to my prosessor (did nothing btw). For me the fix was buying a new 1tb hard drive and installing cs on that.

Try this: Make sure your motherboard has HPET, and has it disabled Search "Device Manager" on your PC. Scroll down to "System Devices" and open the sub-menu. Scroll to "High Precision Event Timer" and click it. Click "Actions" at the top of the window, and from that pop-up menu, click "Disable". Restart your computer. Or you can update bios, lately nvidia gpu drivers can cause fps drops/stutter (delete shadowplay and gforce experience) Optimize your SSD/HDD (use trimm - google it) Set power mode to high performance CTRL alt delete, go to details, find csgo, right click, Set affinity, disable core 0, do it every time you get ingame. Just something that can help
