That's a lie, you don't need 3L every day unless you sweat like crazy
2017-08-12 22:42
Not everyone sits in front of the computer all day long you know
2017-08-12 23:02
Actually you are gonna be required to drink a MUCH more water doing anything else than sitting at your fat ass playing games
2017-08-12 23:03
2017-08-12 23:04
Actually, water consumption varies. Eating food is often just good as enough water supply as drinking water. You only need the extra water when you actually feel the thirst.
2017-08-13 14:24
Neither do I. If you live a normal life you're not gonna need 3L a day. It doesn't hurt, but it's not a necessasity. You can easily manage on 2L or even less without taking any damage.

2,5 up to 3l per day should a person drink for a good value. 6l is too much, im wondering how tall he is and what weight u got to drink 6l per day. plus also day activity. im working, playing a lot cs and doing much gym, im 2m+ tall, 94kg, still i do drink only 3-3,5l per day, even that only on stressfull days.

Stop overdrinking water. 6 liters could actually kill you by means of water intoxication.
2017-08-12 21:58
2017-08-12 22:04
If you drank 6 litres in one go then yes, you will probably die by it. Maybe, or maybe not. But 6 litres spread over a whole day isn't deadly. But it sure as hell is too much. The rule is: You drink if you feel thirsty. It's a myth that you "NEED" to drink XX litres of water every day, most of the water you get from eating food anyways. I barely drink a litre per day and it's not deadly, but I do drink when I feel thirsty.
2017-08-13 13:56
+1 the fact that you start peeing as much as a diabetic person should already be a giveaway that you are drinking too much

2017-08-12 22:09
If you don't sweat much, you don't need more than 2-2.5 liters per day. I don't really sweat because I'm at home most of the time, so I drink up to 3 liters per day. Take into account, that you will get cerebral edema and die if you drink too much (e.g. 10 liters) water, so you better don't.
2017-08-12 22:11
There's a myth that you need to drink XX litres of water every day. You drink when you feel thirsty and that is enough.

from 3 liters to 5 liters depending on what my training routine is. 3 session of roughly 1 hour training a day. But there is always 1 including very light running or core conditionning so not much water needed for those.

Actually I have read that if you are thirsty, it means you are already dehydrated.
2017-08-13 03:09
Not true. Drink water when thirsty. Drinking too much water isnt good tbh. 2L is usually enough and maybe 4L on a training day.
2017-08-13 08:32
You are not correct emcix. The myth of needing to drink water comes from a handbook from 1945 where they stated "you need to drink 2.5l of water per day", but no one ever read what they wrote after that sentence: "Most of this you will get from prepared foods". The thing is; you drink when you feel thirsty and by becoming thirsty you are not dehydrated. That means you would have much more severe symtoms that are showing, which you definitely don't when you are thirsty. So in short: 1. It's a myth that you need to drink any extra water unless you are thirsty. 2. You are not by any means dehydrated (at least not showing any symtoms of being dangerously dehydrated, in which case it's totally pointless calling it dehydrated) when you qare thirsty.
2017-08-13 14:04
imho too much is still much better than not enough. even just from personal experience, i don't care what "science" or whatever says on this. since drinking lots of water my skin got much better and i just feel better over the whole day.

Scoofy, the thing is that if it's hot enough you won't be able to rehydrate the body by drinking anyways. So if it's too much you simply don't go out because there's no way you can replenish the water you sweat/piss out.

2017-08-12 23:32
If it's too hot outside you don't go out. You can drink 70 litres or 10 litres or 1 litre, your body are not able to rehydrate quick enough if the weather is too warm. So the only thing your doing by drinking a lot is just bad stuff, it's really not good.
2017-08-13 14:21

if when you go pee it's transparent you are over hydrating yourself, and you are losing minerals in your pee. 2L max per day. Too much water is bad.
2017-08-12 23:41
half of the people who talk about "ohh too much water is deadly, i am healthy because i know too much water is not good" are probably also stuffing themselves with burgers, pizza and chips the whole day, but at least they got good minerals in their body

We'll see in a few years if you like being too hydrated. :)
2017-08-13 14:10
Explain yourself
2017-08-13 14:13
You don't need to drink anything extra. Most of the water you need comes from eating prepared foods. I.e., just eating shit. When you need to drink is when you feel thirst. If you drink without feeling thirst (i.e. people going to the gym and "drinking because they need to") is just too much. The body can reglulate it self pretty good.
2017-08-13 14:15
Actually i only drink when I'm thirsty. I used to drink much less
2017-08-13 14:24
I highly doubt you drink upto 7L a day by feeling thirst. Your body will in almost no condition use that much water. If that is the case then you should honestly go to the doctor and have yourself checked. It's definitely not normal.
2017-08-13 14:26
I already did that and I'm perfectly okay, but i agree sometimes i drink too much.

in my country around 40 ° and i drink 1 or 2 cup of water
2017-08-13 13:44
Seems reasonable, because if it is that hot you cannot find any way to rehydrate your body quick enough anyways. So the rule is; drink when feeling thirsty and if it is too hot just don't go out. It WILL be dangerous to go out if it is too hot since drinking water just simply isn't enough.

1 L per day .. I know it's not good .. but the thing is i don't get thirsty idk why
2017-08-13 14:16
You are fine. If you eat food then you don't need to drink that much extra water. You only drink if you feel thirsty, and if you're not feeling thirsty your body doesn't need extra water. (unless you're sick, in which case you're pretty f'd.)
2017-08-13 14:18
drink if you feel thirsty? oh really is that how it works thx for the info doctor woozah

If you only knew how many retards drink just for the sake it if, you'd probably understand why it's a good recommendation. Fucking retard.
2017-08-14 18:06

bullshit, you'd be dead if you drank 5-8L of water a day. You're probably in for some heart and kidney problem if you keep that up you know that right? Too much liquid in your body cause high blood pressure, which your kidneys compensate by increasing urine production, cause urine is one of the ways your body has to decrease blood pressure... So, if you're telling the truth you probably should drink less... Yes, even water in large quantities is bad for your health...

if he is an athlete or something that's fine since he could be sweating a lot, depends on his lifestyle and composition really

you know you get a lot of water from food and stuff right? You don't need to drink 2L+ of pure water a day, if you have a balanced diet you should be fine with 1L or less
2017-08-14 02:39
no1 drinks pure water anyway, the water we drink is not pure at all
