Epiphone Les Paul Standard (500€) or Ibanez ART320 (350€) Im left handed and I dont have many options, I want a Les Paul shaped guitar and these are my two best options, I currently own an Ibanez so the brand sits well with me, but I also hear that the Epiphones are really damn good for their price + I'm in love with the original Les Paul shape, Im looking to play mostly 80s Rock and Metal, but I wanna be able to try some other genres without it sounding shit aswell :) My AMP is a VOX VT20+ so if anyone knows which guitar fits it the best. pls halp

Download FL stuido the "Producer Edition" or buy it if you have enough cash -> Find a guitar sample -> apply the hardcore plug-in -> put some chords in the piano roll (optionally because it'll be loud AF). Don't thank me, just saved you some money. If you really want to buy a real guitar then go for it.

using a pc to make music requires no skill and doesnt give the satisfaction a real instrument gives you

It requires as much skill as the real instruments require, even more. If it wasn't the producer, your favourite bands wouldn't even be out there.

its depends on which kind of music u gonna play. Epiphone gonna be better like solo, jazz or pop-rock guitar but other way ibanez is more comfortable to play
2017-09-13 16:14
Ok, thanks for the advise :) Im very familiar with the feel of Ibanez guitars and they are super comfortable

just buy epiphone and in the future try to buy good guitar Combo Amplifier + preamp amplifier for more deep sound. Guitar is just 30% of sound

Ok, I will keep your advise in mind when deciding, thanks :)

I feel that, just saying you wont be disappointed. You might also check out the squier series by fender.
2017-09-13 16:29
I've been looking at those aswell, but not something I want right now, + I've heard some bad stuff about the Affinity series of Squier, so if I do decide to get something by Fender it's most likely gonna be a real Fender Mexican Standard

yeah if you can afford it, theres no reason to be cheap. also, a more expensivve guitar can give u some incentive to play and get good. youll be the new jiimi hendrix in notime

2 less strings so bass is 2x easier to play. and you dont play bass solos, you play guitar solos. nt tho.

You can get a entry level gibson for around 100€ more, there will be no big quality or sound difference but just letting you know. I'd go with the Epiphone otherwise, curious which one you'll pick!
2017-09-13 17:40
Im not looking for entry level, i've been playing on a 250-300€ Ibanez RG520 for about a year now, just thought it was time for an upgrade/change, i want a guitar without a floating bridge, because i tend to lean my hand on the bridge alot and it affects the tremolo on my current guitar

Depends on what you wanna play. iBanez is more for metal and heavy music (megadeth) les paul is for mostly rock, hard rock even pop or blues (led zeppelin, gnr, aerosmith). i'd go with les paul tbh, but yea..
2017-09-13 18:01
Yeah, les paul would be the logical pick since i already own an Ibanez RG, but from my experience it can play rock just as well as metal, so im not sure if i chould go a bit cheaper and get the Ibanez (les paul shaped) or if i should pay more money for the real les paul
