Well, in my opinion it's best for everybody to go to school as long as you can. Knowledge is power my friend.

Knowledge is power... knowledge is power... Now where did I hear that sentence before, eh? Can't remember :D

2017-09-18 16:24
Seems legit, but I'm not planning on failing. I have some very experienced investors who are supporting me :)
2017-09-18 16:29
buy me a karambit on csgo when you'll get big
2017-09-18 16:44
Haha, there's a lot of people who I'll give anything they want, not sure you're a part of that list but ok. Screenshot this, and If you ever see me on HLTV when I make it, I'll give you a Karambit, promise.
2017-09-18 17:07
You don't win if you don't fail, that's the first thing you gotta learn.
2017-09-21 09:30
So what about "All I do is win win win, no matter what"
2017-09-23 22:55
i can invest into you
2017-09-18 16:29
Interesting, we're planning on starting a similar service for Germany aswell.
2017-09-18 16:31
Do not use a VOF, use a BV.
2017-09-18 16:30
I need over 250k profit a year to start a BV sir.
2017-09-18 16:34
I'm not from the Netherlands but i never heard of anything like that. Isn't it just €18.000 starting capital and higher administration costs of running a BV?
2017-09-18 16:41
I wish it was, but no I need over 250k/year profit.
2017-09-18 17:05
To legaly own a BV or to justify the higher operating cost?
2017-09-18 17:09
Oh sorry if I wasn't clear enough, to justify the higher operating cost. It's only having positive effects earning over 150k a year but it's best to start at 250k.
2017-09-19 10:09
That's a high fixed cost. What are your projections and financial forecasts looking like? Contract opportunities? Subsidies available for job creation as well in the Netherlands?
2017-09-21 13:47
gl! it is better than working for someone in every aspect. experience is the most important earning, don't forget this.
2017-09-18 16:34
It's bring a lot of stress along too, not performing means losing money. Although, I hope I'll gain a lot of experience doing this, working with very smart and successful people who learn me new things on a daily basis :)
2017-09-18 16:39
Have you ever worked? Do you know how shit&stressful working life is? Even if your own business needs a lot of work, way more than working for someone, it is after all your business. You choose your working hours. You can go vacation whenever you want as long as you establish your work and make sure it is working properly. My friend just quit his job to start our own business. His starting salary was 4300 turkish liras which is way above average salary in here. He worked for 6 months and he quit. We are living like a rat at the moment but it will worth in the future.
2017-09-18 16:44
Untill you get a tax audit, clients not paying, getting sued, quality issues with products you imported, new competitors coming in, changes in the market e.t.c.
2017-09-18 16:49
These are the problems that you will encounter, yes. However, no one will serve on a silver platter nothing. You have to take risks to do better. "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life." -Muhammad Ali
2017-09-18 16:55
I think it's safe to say it's a different kind of stress. If there is shit that needs to be done, you can't just blame /move it to someone else. But in the end it indeed feels a lot better, and although shit needs to be done, you feel an enormous amount of freedom to take your life into the direction you want. Also in the end you find yourself almost working 7 days a week as there is always something that pops up or needs to be checked. but the good thing is it doesn't really feel like "work".
2017-09-18 17:12
exactly. even if you work way more than your working friends, you actually achieved something. you are a boss. you can earn way more money, you can be way more respected person etc. it is about your personality to want these thing. you have to demand these things otherwise you would think like "oh fuck it is so complicated and risky and hard to start my own business. i am happy with what i have already. fuck that shit"
2017-09-18 17:10
Well I agree with most of what you say. "You choose your working hours" is not completely true, my father owns a company but he needs to be available 24/7 and sometimes works 12 hours a day. " You can go on vacation when you want" True, but definitely not the first few years, going on a vacation means no income and no income means no progress. I haven't worked a full time job yet, I always make enough money to pay my bills etc. without doing so, also I'm still going to School and I have a side job. Sometimes I make over 50 hours and sometimes 60 hours a week but it does not feel like stress to me, I love having something to do and I feel really motivated and I love learning new things every single day.
2017-09-18 17:04
"...as long as you establish your work and make sure it is working properly" this takes at least 3 years already. I didn't mean that you can go vacation right away. Besides, it is up to you to work hard even after everything is working properly. Some people like working and want to make his business even bigger. They like working. It depends.
2017-09-18 17:07
if this isnt a bait: the difference about having your own business is: forget social life, your anxiety will encrease 500000x more, and you'll have to suply different areas of jobs, that if you were just a guy working for someone, you woudnt need for example I work with photography and videos I started as 4th camera, 5thcamera sometimes I just went to event, record some shit, took some pictures, give everything to the main guy, got the money, and thats it its too easy, no worrys, nothing can go super wrong, safe, no worry, no anxiety after I started doing it my self... couple differences: needed to know how to sell my product, how to ask the right amount of money, by the work myself + other cameramans, edit the whole thing, responsabilities on the other guys of the crew, solve any problem that might happen while in the event etc so basicly is a matter of study all the areas envolved, + getting experience as a normal worker before jumping ship cuz sometimes we dont know how taxes + workers + contracts works!! so go work on your area and be that asshole who keeps the whole day asking shit to superiors XD good luck #RUNWORKG

Something I've been blessed with all my life is I convincing people into buying my products or service, I work together with other people so not all stress is going to hit me like a wrecking ball. I completely agree with what you're saying but it's time for something new, I want to start achieving new things in life, as I said previously I don't want to be that guy working on a daily basis 9 to 5. I have a strong mentality and also very strong ambitions.
2017-09-19 10:16
cool! I would recommend try to do your own thing, based on stuff you worked with in those years, good luck my friend =D <3 I did myself, was hard af, very changeller, but is not that hard if you just go and do it, and keep doing and doing it everyday, slowly you get experience and become a very good professional!! <3 dont be afraid of change in life.
2017-09-19 11:59
Invest in a porn website....
2017-09-18 17:11
Almost impossible. Extreme competition and the biggest tubes are in the hands of a few companies with huge budgets.
2017-09-18 17:15
Would put a lot of dirt on my name though, not sure if I'd want that but if it's gonna make me rich no problemo.
2017-09-19 10:11
Register a company in cyprus with a Nominee Director :)
2017-09-19 16:34
Actually a good idea LOL.
2017-09-20 11:33
Thats how most companies do it. Or any of these: -british virgin islands -Belize -Anguila -saint kitts en nevis -Seychelles
2017-09-20 16:24
You'll need quite a lot of money to start off with though.
2017-09-21 11:03
It's just not doable anymore. To give you some figures from the company behind pornhub. youtube.com/watch?v=Kj542-yArUI&t=262

Not just in porn industry. Look at companies like Google and Amazon.

+1 if george washington is saying, we cant go against!!
2017-09-18 17:51
Most succesful business men failed 2 or more times, I really want to start my own legacy which my children will continue. I don't want to be that average guy working 9 to 5, take the risk or lose the c chance.

Good, what business will you start?
2017-09-19 11:02
Make profit
2017-09-19 10:15
Change that to: make enough profit
2017-09-19 10:17
make more than enough profit
2017-09-21 14:04
I'll start fulfilling that goal soon enough my friend :)
2017-09-21 14:52
Most important thing while running a business is to be happy
2017-09-19 10:30
Agreed, running a business you don't love will get you depressed. Especially if you're doing is for money only.
2017-09-19 13:12
1. Don't expect to make profit for at least the first year (some businesses do but most don't, people get very disheartened from this but plan for it and you won't be as dissapointed) 2. Produce a very clear business plan outlining what you will do, what you want to do and when you want to do it. 3. Don't trust anybody, in the business world money is king and people will fuck you over for absolutely anything if it helps them out. 4. Identify competitors, see what they are doing, can you do I better than them? If not what can you steal from them ideas wise to make your business grow. I was a former business advisor in my first job, those are just the basics but if you're serious about starting a business there are plenty of free schemes set up by the ERDF to help people who want to set up businesses with help such as free 1 to 1 advice, financial aid and seminars.
2017-09-19 10:36
Already completed step 2 and 4. Although, if you're new to things like these you're going to have to put some trust in people right? And about #1 all customers I get in are going to be profit, although you'll never know if it's gonna be a really small dissapointing amount or one you're going to be satisfied with.
2017-09-19 13:16
All customers you get may be pure profit but finding those customers is likely to cost you and how many you'll actually get at first is the big question. I saw that you said your business will be helping people switch energy providers, large scale companies already do this with huge call centres so don't be surprised if every potential customer you call has already heard the same stuff from someone else. Also no, you don't need to put trust in people, you can rely on people but relying on someone and trusting someone are very different things, figuring out what the difference between the two is for your business is an essential part of operating a business.
2017-09-19 13:50
The large scale companies you're talking about are not doing the same thing as we're doing. I'm (we're) already working together with 28 different energy suppliers, the ones you're talking about are profiting by signing contracts for a specific huge supplier, for us this does not matter at all since we're independent. Well you're right, I think the relying on people is the better term.
2017-09-20 11:30
Considering you ask here, don't even start.
2017-09-19 12:06
Thank you for the great advice! The fact you're the first or maybe secondout of 20 people who actually said something completely irrelevant says more about you than about me. I get something useful out of all sorts of advice, besides that I like interacting and chatting with people. So who are you to tell me I shouldn't?

Great advice, although the most inspiration on how to run things and getting new ideas is by browsing the internet. Responding to people here just takes about 10 mins of my day and in my opinion some stuff is useful :-).

Be persistent and make sure you know EVERYTHING about the business that you are about to head into. I`ve read somewhere that most new businisess fail in the begining, but if you are persistent and ambitious you should succeed. Good luck man !
2017-09-21 09:47
I know all the things I need to know right now, experience comes with time. Thank alot mate! I'm really motivated to make this a success :-)
2017-09-21 09:54
Thats good, I want to start my own business as well in a couple of years if everything goes well. The thought of going on your own can be really scary sometimes but its very satisfying to work for yourself, than to depend on your employer. Good luck !
2017-09-21 10:00
I'm just way more motivated working for myself instead of for a boss, I get rewarded for my hard work instead of having a basic salary.

Yeah, thats the best part about having a business !
