Use DisplayPort
2017-09-23 20:28
edit: yea as #1 said. .probably because you use HDMI.. you have to use dual-link DVI cable
2017-09-23 20:02
1920x1080 regular one...
2017-09-23 20:02
ok, hmm.. and you use dual-link dvi.. hmm hmm

2017-09-23 20:34
try different cable if you have, maybe different port
2017-09-23 20:04
dont have different one.. and i didnt change anything i was using the sam cable all the time, didnt even disconnecting it for a while, i did it few minutes ago to clean it a bit from dust maybe but it didnt help

try 120hz to check if that works
2017-09-23 20:06
dont work either
2017-09-23 20:09
Do you change in PC monitor/screen settings? Reset your pin at the motherboard maybe, check YT for info about that, 144hz motherboard on/off
2017-09-23 20:17
why motherboard? its plugged into video card
2017-09-23 20:19
I do not really know which one the on/off is at, i've heard that it is on the motherboard but yeah, YT might help ya, maybe check AMD Radeon settings or NVIDA settings :)

check your gpu output. there are maybe 2 dvi but only 1 is able to produce 144hz.
2017-09-23 20:19
its connected to the same spot it was before windows reinstall when it used to work

doesnt work this way, same thing is happening after saving and closing when i open it again its still 60hz
2017-09-23 20:19
You changing it in nvidia control panel? If not, that's where you need to go
2017-09-23 20:14
i try both in system settings and nvidia after saving it keep going back to 60Hz there is a screenshot upper
2017-09-23 20:17
I had the same issue a while ago, 144Hz setting won't save. It was vibranceGUI.exe switching it back to 60Hz everytime just delete vibranceGUI then reboot, switch to 144Hz and it should work. You can install vibranceGUI again when 144Hz is saved.
2017-09-23 20:14
maybe you have regular DVI cable and not dual link
2017-09-23 20:17
it used to work before windows reinstall so cable is fine...
2017-09-23 20:19
hmm...well I think everyone covered it then, there are 3 things you have to look at: 1.monitor settings: is monitor actually set at 144hz? 2. windows settings as user posted above 3. nvidia/amd control panel settings. let me know if you figure it out if not I probably could for you but I am pretty lazy so I will let you try 1st
2017-09-23 20:21
1. same story as in nvidia settings i can choose 144hz but when i save it it changed back to 60hz 2. ^ 3. imgur.com/a/eSjCN i can choose it but it keep going back to 60hz after saving
2017-09-23 20:25
hmm so all 3 methods all change it back? that is weird
2017-09-23 20:25
yeah i know... im trying to install motherboard drivers etc once again maybe it will solve it
2017-09-23 20:26
yeah idk...i didn't see much online everything said what you already tried. I will look more though. mobo and gpu drivers would be good to reinstall. even if gpu is correct version fresh drivers cant hurt

welp it is working now! guess i didnt install the chipset one before... thanks for help!
