Well it's hard to say if it's enjoyable. I love it, it's my dream job. But i would say if you like working by pc the whole day, you know math very well, have some programming skills and have logical thinking, you will like it. In my opinion it is a growing industry.
But what i do is, i work for an insurance company, and i am currently responsable for creating the price of car insurance, well not exactly the price, but i calculate the risk of someone getting in a car accident, i am evaluating the likelyhood of that accident resulting in death, broken bones etc. And by getting those risks i create the risk of smth happening for a person depending on gender, age, type of car, the place they are from, and many more factors.
But yeah, to be respected as an actuary you have to have master degree as an actuary, i just started my 2nd degree in astrophysics, but kinda regret not going for a doctors degree in acturial mathematics.
