Leaving Russia
 |
Russia Culimon
Hello. I'm planning to leave Russia as soon as possible. Currently I have around 12k$ in the bank. Is it enough to move to another country? Also my english is not really good so I'm wondering if I will be able to get a job there. Russia is one of the worst countries in the world so far. I don't know yet where I want to move so I would be glad if you posted your recommendations what country to choose. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Imo Canada is the best option. Kakoe u tebya obrazovanie? opit raboti? vozrast? V kanadu tak prosto ne popast uje.

"Currently I have around 12k$ in the bank. Is it enough to move to another country?" Depends on where you want to go and how long you want to stay. $12k won't last long here, but it will in Poland or Romania. "Also my english is not really good so I'm wondering if I will be able to get a job there." Unless you want to work at a production line or picking tomatoes, knowing English next to having a favourable specialisation is important if you want to have a somewhat decent job. "I don't know yet where I want to move so I would be glad if you posted your recommendations what country to choose." Do you even know the requirements for each country? For example, Australia and Switzerland have really strict policies. It's not a matter of being able to just 'choose' a country. You should first figure out what your goals are, and work from there. Going by your words ("Russia is one of the worst countries in the world so far") ANY country should be better, so just go to Haiti and live like a king (/s).

How can you be number 1 leftist on hltv when there are Norwegian people hltv
2017-10-13 08:16
im more0n. so its obvious.
2017-10-13 11:16
you mean swedes, you call norweigans leftists when they have no immigrants?
2017-10-13 12:14
The Norwegian is pure socialism and the closet thing country to be under communism whilst Sweden is leftist and kinda socialist and likes immigrants
2017-10-13 14:51
norweigans are on avg pretty wealthy tho? people under communism are not they have low crime rates do they not?
2017-10-13 14:53
let's say you make 100kr in Sweden and a coke costs 20 and in Norway you make 150kr but a coke costs 30kr it's more money but it's worth less. And when I say communism I mean that most things are country owned and the taxes are well over 50 percent

is russia that bad... anyways if i were you i would move to west europe or US, earn as much money as I could, and then retire in Russia.
2017-10-12 07:54
Russia is not that bad if you live in big cities like Moscow or St. Petersburg. In small cities, the average salary for ordinary people like doctors, teachers and etc is like 100$/month. And I don't even exaggerate.
2017-10-12 07:56
100$/month is not much at all thats awful tbh

Sadly he IS exaggerating a bit, they earn about 300$/month but it's still not that much, I agree, compared to EU

What do you mean by escorts? You mean private security or what?
2017-10-12 17:08
call girls, you know girls you pay for sex etc
2017-10-12 17:10
hookers?
2017-10-12 19:35
yes
2017-10-12 21:41
depends in the big cities 100d/1h.In small cities if you are decent looking you can get laid
2017-10-13 10:32
100 d?
2017-10-13 12:24
100 dollars
2017-10-13 15:50
if salary is 300$ in small cities how can hookers cost 100$ per hour?
2017-10-13 16:15
only the ones who finished Faculty of Hookers
2017-10-13 16:19
seems legit
2017-10-13 16:20
i told you in big cities like moscow is that expensive. In small cities i dont think they have escort agencies but i know that it is pretty easy for a foreign guy to get laid with a beutifull woman. They dont like blacks, arabs and gypsys. If you are not belong in one of these categorys then need to have 0 social skills.
2017-10-13 18:55
lmao, i wish i could go to russia :c
2017-10-13 22:07
bro i have not visit russia wet.But if you like crazy beach parties and hookers you should go to latin america.I can tell you from personal experience its the best.I have talk with guys that have been to thailand, indonesia, china, vietnam, brazil, argentina, mexico, colombia, russia, romania, ukraine and bulgaria. And every single of them are telling the same shit brazil and colombia are the bests.
2017-10-13 23:56
good to know thanks, now i only need the money for departure
2017-10-14 14:11

Yeah, they do By doctors I mean the ones who actually treat ppl not the ones who are directors in hospitals etc, the managers earn about 700-900$ I think The thing is all these jobs are called 'the budget jobs' and they include teachers, doctors, policemen, kindergarden nannies etc. They are all hired by the government and earn absolutely nothing Idk why buth that's the truth
2017-10-12 17:07

I find that hard to believe. But I guess the 'grass is greener' on the other side. The US is great if you consider material consumption the greatest and most desirable good. idk, for me, things are far from perfect, everything is super expensive in my state(california), terrible traffic, immigrants from other countries and other states inflate the housing prices. Also tons of annoying people, who act at odds with civil society. But even morons are rich here, so I suppose in that sense it is very desirable for a Russian who is intelligent but constrained by his surroundings.

Not true at all. The aspect of making more money and finding a job in the states is better i agree. However, whatever country it might be, it's still your homeland, you have friends there, family, etc. It's always nice to come back and visit and maybe even live there.

Yes u get unemployment benefits
2017-10-12 10:48
Yes you can apply for unemployment support from the government. But it's not like people think it is. That you just can chill at home doing nothing and expect to get money. First off it's not possible to just survive on that as an income. It's like half the cost just for renting an small apartment. Secondly you always need to show them that you are applying for jobs and trying to get your shit together. You are also pretty much forced to join a job if the government/municipality find one for you, and that can be things like cutting the grass/maintenance jobs around the city.

UBI (universal basic income). Every swiss naturalized citizen can apply for and receive income from the government without doing anything. The last time I checked with a friend who lives there, he told me one was able to get about 3500 CHF/month, which is around 3k euros. That's deceptively low by Swiss standards, but enough to live frugally unless you're in a big city.

It ain't. Rent might be lower, as well as certain certain western products, certain food products, but it's more or less the same. Utilities are more expensive. The isn't as big wealth gap between bigger cities and the rest, though it's still there. On average, it's the same thing. For two years now, even the content they broadcast on the state TV is the same XD.

As above not Sydney. Adelaide has the cheapest housing (unless you go to Darwin or Hobart but they are trash) Perth is just above Adelaide price wise. Brisbane I don't know much about but it gets a lot of tourists because of the Gold Coast/barrier reef/theme parks etc. Melbourne is #1 in the world for most liveable city two years running. I could be wrong but it won something like that.

Don't agree, high education is mandatory for a working visa and the fact that our shitty corrupt universities are accredited at all is a big advantage.

A lot better, thats why ukrainians coming to us instead to Russia, also chechens aka russians prefer Poland than Russia as well and coming to us.
2017-10-15 11:53
How many Chechens are there in Poorland? I've never met any. As for Ukrainians and Russia, there is of course the politics. Going to Russia doesn't seem good in eyes of many. Though for example, there is something like 900k who left Donbass for Russia because of war.

Chuju ty chuju, mafia nie ma kolegów ni kurwa? dlatego zadnego nie spotkales kacapie. Politics? Like majority of people care about Politics meh, everyone want to have better standards of living that's why Ukrainians prefer Poland than Russia.

Some do, some don't. You can also get a Poorlish working visa and make your way to a place that ain't that much of a shithole, for example Germany, or Czech Republic, and get a non state approved work there. Hence, the high number of issued working visas.

like ok you are free to leave, but what exactly does make Russia the worst country? I ve never heard that someone in russia have problems with taxes, news from russia are coming with headlines like: some rich russian moved to UK where he is free to trashtalk about Putin LUL. Unemployment? Flooding? Hurricane? Earthshakes? Terrorism and refugees? It doesnt even exist in Russia, stop crying and get your shit together, take a trip to US or Canada, some people here think that being retarded is cool, kids killing themselves because their parents dont give a flying fuck, in central america you may get shot just cuz you are not enough american (yes, exactly "not enough american" i read about it when worked with police department). Edit: move to Spain, they are awesome except Jonatan

Officials steal money from taxes we pay and spend on yachts and enormous properties outside of Russia instead of increasing salaries and improving infrastructure. Unemployment? Yes, taxes and property cost much for us, therefore a lot of people work illegally to avoid taxes. Flooding? Yes, yearly, plus all the water that comes from melted snow stays on roads and sidewalks varlamov.me/2015/ufa_ploh1/01.jpg Earthshakes? Damn yes, I live in a zone of regular earthquakes. Terrorism and refugees? Have you heard of an act of terrorism in Surgut? That happened 2 months ago.

12 k is not enough to start a new life in a country which is worth living in i am afraid. You have to understand that immigration with small amount of money will put a cross on at least 1-5 years of your life. Especially if youre not a highly skilled worker. All you gonna do for the first years is work to "form" your new life. I have a small IT company and we have a lot of job applications from immigrants. And you cant even count how much time they wasted working just to pay the bills. So at the end of the day, immigration is not about money you have, its about skills. With 12k you cant just sit home and study something or attend some courses frequently. You have to work and this will take a lot of time.

I wouldn't recommend France

What's your education and experience? Which country do you plan to live in? 12k might definitely not be enough for a single year, traveling + rent + food + transports + bills.
2017-10-12 12:24
everyone saying canada and I would also say canada, there are better options but because of language barrier I would say Canada. New Zealand would prolly be better though if you dont mind how different just about everything will be, but then again, not like canada has that much more in common.

2017-10-12 15:12
Bro... The way you write make me think you are not making rational decisions. I don't know where you live in Russia exactly but it is one of the most cheapest places in the world with not bad quality. If you are making money (and I assume you do) and don't want to live in a shithole(?) move to a bigger city like St Petersburg, Ekaterinburg or Kazan. If you will move to another country with a bad knowledge of English you will never get a well paid job. And your quality of life will decrease. Furthermore, it is difficult to move LEGALLY to another country like USA or Canada now. It is only possible if you go there for studying or land a good job where employer would love to sponsor your visa. If you don't want to live in Russia, try to move to a different city first and then work on your income. When you have enough money you can start traveling and see the country before actually moving to it.
2017-10-12 13:55
Russia is bad. Good decision.
2017-10-12 14:23

my advise would be go to a western country for 5/4 years to get money then go back to russia to live your life with good house, money and all. if you want to move out of russia but you cant speak english that well i would try to move into the baltics or poland. for your information 1/4 of israel population is speaking russian so it would be very easy to get a job here and the average income here is 2.5k dollars
2017-10-12 14:46
why so many ruskis in israel? they all want free money?
2017-10-12 19:53
after the six-day war the soviets cut off the diplomatic relations with israel and began an anti-zionist propaganda which led to anti-semitism, lots of jews in the soviet countries wanted to get out to their homeland but they couldnt because there was no flies to israel, when the soviet union collapsed in 1991 they were free to fly to israel (about 250,000 soviet jews flew to israel) and then they have made families and all

USA is actually pretty cheap once you get out of the most desirable cities, you can have a pretty lavish life on a average wage if you live in Midwest or the South
2017-10-12 17:32
Move london like real ruski
2017-10-12 14:53
Please, specify your education and profession. You can't emigrate by tourism. There are not many options for people like us: - Study in Europe and find work afterwards - If you are highly qualified in some area, find a job, they don't hand working visas to berry-pickers - Marry a citizen Other options are illegal or too much for us to pay. Chances are higher if you work in IT.
2017-10-12 14:55
Don't forget to mention that finding a job in a different country is like 100x harder than it actually sounds EVEN if you are highly qualified. People won't invite you to interviews because you're not in the country, you also don't have a visa yet so the company likely can't be bothered to do that for you so your chances because of that are already little to none. You're not a native speaker as well.
2017-10-14 12:38
You will be an immigrant for a long time and finding a full time contracted job without having a Canadian passport is 10x harder than for local citizen. My mom was married to my stepdad for 6 years before she and i could get Belgian documentation from the government and only then could she find proper work ( and that after getting a degree in pharmacy ). I would not do it. You will be working minimum wage if you lucky or will be jobless and helpless for a long time. Social services won't even help you because you left your country on no legal grounds besides " wanting to move ". Unless you want to suffer, just get a degree in Russia, find a job and then look for abroad opportunies afterwards.
2017-10-12 14:57
Yep, easier to move to another country or at least make some steps in that direction is to get a higher education abroad.
2017-10-12 22:27

If you are planing to moving to Romania, my advice is to buy a house in the rural area, the price of apartments is pretty big considering a studio in Bucharest is about 40,000 euros wich is pretty expensive IMO. The countryside is the most comfy.
2017-10-12 15:04
"The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence". Every country has its pros and cons. If you can't succeed in some specific country, moving to other country won't change your life significantly.
2017-10-12 15:04

Somehow hard to believe he has $12k in savings. Somehow hard to believe you would obtain work permit. Your only skill is being native speaker of Russian language, start here and look for jobs abroad which require Russian language most likely customer service. Russia is not that bad if you live in big cities like Moscow or St. Petersburg. But in small cities, the average salary for ordinary people like doctors, teachers and etc is like 100-200$/month. And I'm not even exaggerating.

If you're ruski then you should think about Poland, i was there and it's great country, there are some of strange looking people that have look like they want to kill you but it didn't happen to me, i saw Poznan and Wroclaw and both were great but first one was much better for me tbh and i think it's easier for you to learn that language probably but i don't think english is enough there. Norway and Iceland are also really good countries you should check them too, both beautiful and great money.
2017-10-12 17:12
Just move to Riga, Latvia. 40% of people in the Capital of Latvia are Russians. And pretty much everyone who is 30 or older speaks Russian pretty fluent. Also if you live alone in a single room apartment, in Riga your monthly expenses will be just like 700-900 euros

living in "growing economy" countries suck so hard, my friend studied publicity here in Brazil and couldn't get a good job, then she sold everything she had and moved to UK, now she works cleaning toillets there and gets more money there than a graduated here
2017-10-12 22:20
just because she earns more money doesnt mean she makes more profit because living in UK is probably also a lot more expensive.

yeah go Paris and enjoy nights under the bridge with niggers... I live in Saint-Petersburg and thats really good place to live. can compare with all EU big cities, cause visit em all/ can recommend Finland (close to friend and realitives), Australia or Canada or really think about move to SPb =)
2017-10-12 23:13
If you travelled to all major EU cities, one can assume that you have a decent living, but that requires money. IF you have money, you can live well anywhere. Russia is one of the worst counties for the poor, and life expectancy for average and below average income is off the charts in a bad way..!

2017-10-13 13:23
Most places here are very expensive to live in, assuming you are even able to get in. Most people will work with bad english since the US is so diverse, but it must be good enough to at least hold a reasonable conversation. High living costs are typically offset by high minimum wages (all relative of course). As others have said if you live in the US for long enough you'll probably never want to go back to eastern europe. I've met many people here who are from the CIS/Russia and say they will never go back.

You should move to baltic states. why? they are in eu, so u can communicate in Russian because it was ex-USSR state, so if u go store, or some public place, majority of the people will communicate with u in russian, but then there is people who hate russians, while ita not russian fault that baltics were annexed, it was leaders fault. but still, it would be pretty ez living there because of the eu, and people talking russian. Average salary, Estonia 1k eur, Lithuania, Latvia 800eur, most of the things are cheap. In Estonia people do not communicate in russian as much as in Lithuania or Latvia, if u search for work there, u need to live in big cities, cuz salary is better, suggestions: Latvia: Riga, Valmiera, Jelgava. Lithuania: Klaipeda, Palanga, Kaunas, Vilnius. Estonia: Tallinn, Pärnu, Tartu. hope u read this and will help choose your decision.
2017-10-13 09:59
narva is better cuz majority there is russians and he could live without even need to learn estonian language
2017-10-14 10:31
Please don't come here. There are already enough Russians. By the way, the only Russians "hated" here are the ones that ONLY speak Russian and Russian only, because these retard gopniks think they're in Russia. Or something. Majority of the homeless druggos are Russians as well, in most of Lithuania if you see a homeless drunk dickhead he'll for sure be Russian.
2017-10-14 12:05
Come here my friend, i know its kinda expensive but don't worry. I will call my friend Jere from Oulu, he will bring a lot of karhun and we will have fun)))

Money isn't really the problem. Well, to some degree it is but not that much. It's more about other requirements so you can obtain a visa and these are usually VERY HIGH for western countries. I once tried to help a friend from Ukraine move to Germany and it basically turned out impossible so we gave up on it.
2017-10-14 12:27

Move to a rich country that has a lot of russian tourists = easy and well paid job. When I worked as snowboarding instructor I wrote down I can speak russian and I had many russian customers, who figured out I wasn't really a fluent russian speaker, but noone said a word to my agency and they were mostly really nice people.
