If you have the extra money, I'd spring for the GTX 1050Ti because personally, I always like to have a little more FPS than my ideal target FPS so that when FPS drops happen, it shouldn't be too bad. The GTX 1050Ti's 4GB of VRAM vs. the GTX 1050's 2GB of VRAM will help you to be able to player on higher settings should you desire to do so and just overall be more "future proof".

skip the 1050 and go straight for 1060 6gb. its pretty much the best in current market situation. 1050 is not worth it. but purely for csgo cpu is mroe important.

^ What this guy said It's better go for what's better now so you don't have to settle for anything less. If you spend X dollars now on a GTX 1050, and then you upgrade to a GTX 1060 within 1-2 years, you could've just bought a GTX 1060 in the first place and not had to have wasted money. To each their own though --- hope you enjoy your new PC parts when everything is finally setup!

in csgo yes. pubg? different situation. any other more demanding game? different situation. 3gb vram will be outdated much sooner. on average u get 20% more fps... it can vary from 10 to 40%.

I know --- I was saying IF OP played more than just CSGO, the extra VRAM would definitely benefit them. If he intends to keep his PC for the next 2+ years, then it's better to invest in a GPU with more VRAM now so that they don't have to spend more later on if they upgrade their GPU.

I checked it again and I was too optimistic. it is around 80 fps, it fluctuates from 60 to 100 and if really a lot is going on it drops to 50 and I have all settings on very low besides drawing distance, that is on medium I don't care if you believe me, but it's true

On what resolution and what gpu then ? Because at this point i wouldn't even recommend someone to buy an i5 but if you are only gaming it might just be fine so an i3 is definitely not suited for either gaming or multitasking in any sort of way.

i5's are really good now. Even my old i5 4460S is performing at 98% percentile of other similar cpu's. If you have like a 1050TI and a decent i5 you're set with 16 gb of ram ( to render properly )

for PUBG I use 1080p and I have a r9 380, so a pretty trashy setup I was broke af when I build it I'm going to upgrade to a 1070 soon and then look if my cpu can still keep up and if not, I'll upgrade it as well but I used my current setup since 2015 for gaming, editing and stuff (not multi tasking though) and I had no problems at all

nonsense, I have i3 6100k and I play The Witcher 3 on high settings 60 fps, PUBG ~100 fps and never had any problems or limitations with other games as well it is perfectly fine for low budget builds if you don't use the highest settings

I call bs on this ^. I have i5-6600k @ 4.5ghz and 980ti and I almost NEVER have 100fps in PUBG. Yes, it touches 100 sometimes, but most of the time I have around 70-90fps. I play on 1920x1080 everything very low. In csgo I have around 300-500fps depending on map.

yeah, 70-100 for me is more realistic, should have wrote ~80 fps, sorry for that but still I really get this values, it surprises me as well, my setup is from 2015 I have ddr4 ram with 2666 MHz, I saw some benchmarks where that could give up to ~ 30 fps more than the ones with lower frequency don't know why it runs so well

PUBG is so poorly optimized right now that it's hit or miss in regards who what FPS people get with certain hardware / settings. There are a lot of people with something like an i7-7700K + GTX 1070 or above and they have trouble maintaining 120+ FPS on all low settings, which is something that should be achievable with that great of PC hardware.

Hope you enjoy your build man! Glad to hear you spent more initially so you'd get what you want and even more FPS probably. I think of buying things in this manner: spend more initially, and you won't have to spend as much later on down the line. Don't settle for anything less than what you want unless you absolutely have to due to budget constraints.
