CS GO @ 300 FPS!
United States Origin503
I finally fired up my new build and after updates etc, I popped in to CS GO was getting 150 fps on low, medium, and high settings. Figured out it was the XBOX DVR issue. Logged back in after the fix and played at 300 fps for the first time. Such an insane difference, was like playing it for the first time! I havent overclocked anything yet so I am curious what will happen once I start making tweaks to the system. I just wanted to share this awesomeness with my hltv brethren!

I have played on 60 hz for so long (8 years?), with the new build and the new monitor, hardware clearly makes a huge difference!

I don't need 165hz, since i dont even play that much games anymore, and it just nice to have it if you can afforded. I can't tell much different from 144 to 165,
2017-10-17 16:56
I have 240hz

2017-10-17 16:23
i7700 k
2017-10-17 16:28
oooh, that's sweet and smooth proc. I'm on my 6700k getting 300-400 fps on maps like mirage and cache. 250-330 fps on train and overpass
2017-10-17 16:39
Nice! I still have some adjustments to make, Im sure I will be between 3-400 FPS soon. I havent overclocked anything yet so I know I will get a bump! What GPU are you running?

we got the same cpu 7700k. sits on asus z270 max code mb, with gtx 1080 gpu. my 7700k currently running on 4.8 stable with around 1.26 v
2017-10-17 16:45
Im glad to hear it, I have heard of people who OC to 5 stable. But they also say it runs pretty hot. I installed a monster heat sync/fan for when I do OC the CPU, was planning on taking it to right about 4.8 too. Thanks for the info! Thats a monster GPU btw. I bought the 1060 which is plenty for what I need it for.

i got full set of custom lube liquid cooling system. i only tried OC to 5 to run 3dmark, but the cord v had to go above 1.30+, imo it is not worth it, you are not gonna notice the different from 4.8 -5.0 anyways.
2017-10-17 17:07
damn dude... 4.8 is pretty intense. i have a 6850k OCed to 4.3... there's nothing that my build can't handle and i don't really see a reason to go any higher. do you find it necessary to be at 4.8?
2017-10-17 17:12
xbox on pc dafuq is that
2017-10-17 16:40
it's integrated into windows 10... no idea why it's included, but the DVR function is turned on by default and known to cause fps drops in a number of games
2017-10-17 17:13
Yep. There is a command you can enter that removes it. You will have to enter the command after each update I think. Im pretty sure thats what they said in the article anyway.
2017-10-17 17:15
yea i noticed that i get the notification in CSGO whenever my system updates
2017-10-17 17:17
Kind of a pain, but with the solution on the microsoft website its pretty easy. I can post it later once I get home.
2017-10-17 17:24
yea for sure, it's just something you switch off in the DVR settings
2017-10-17 17:25
For those that don't have an account or otherwise cant log in to simply turn it off, there is an easy alternative solution. Obviously you have it fixed but I can post it for others who havent done it yet.

Don't overclock your gpu... it can rly fuck up ur pc like it did to mine.... luckily i knew how to fix it, but if youve never overclocked a gpu then it can be risky
