That's your flawed understanding given to you by the Christians - God isn't a man or a woman, he has no children nor any parents and there is nothing like him. If you want to know the real concept of God, look into Islam. If you want God's existence to be proven, look into Islam.

Religion are stories made by people that is afraid to die. When you die, there are nothing after. You think "Heaven" have billions of souls, that you will meet your parents, grandparents etc after you're dead? I think people who believe such thing thus all the scientific proofs against religion, are just lacking intelligence.

Although I don't disagree with the first part of your statement. You got something wrong, there is no scientific evidence whatsoever to prove there is nothing after life/that there is no God. Some people choose to believe, let 'em as long as they don't enforce it on somebody else. Religion has been part of every stage of humankind in some shape or form because it's a measure of control.
2017-11-18 19:15
The burden of proof lies with the one that makes the claim. There is no proof that Santa Claus, Superman, the Easter Bunny and the Flying Spaghetti Monster don't exist.

Doesn't matter. It's beliefs, not science. Thus, there is no scientific evidence to support either side. The burden of proof is applicable in a courthouse and in academic work, not by people who chooses to have faith in something.

Oh and btw, in this case the person I responded to is the one making the claim that the scientific evidence is there. Prove it.
2017-11-18 19:27
well what he said doesn't fix what you've said.
2017-11-18 19:34
Yes, it does matter since you said there is no scientific evidence to prove there is no god which is absolutely ridiculous to say because once again, you cannot claim that something exists and then tell someone else to disprove it when it hasn't even been proven in the first place. HOW is the burden of proof not applicable here? I don't tell random Christians the burden of proof is with them, I tell it to Christians who tell others to disprove god. Or in this case, I'll tell it to you since you brought up the scientific evidence bullshit.

Typical response from someone with no shitty arguments left. "Call him stupid and then ignore, otherwise I won't sleep at night."
2017-11-18 22:51
I don't think it has much to do with people being afraid of death. I think it's one of those things that's being carried on generation for generation and the belief in a God stems from people not being able to explain certain things many centuries ago. Like weather, diseases, death and more. A lot of people and newborns are basically forced into religions and brainwashed to believe in whatever supernatural creature that religion tells you to believe in, that's why religions are still a problem today.
2017-11-18 19:21
he said that's why religion is made, not why people still believe in religion
2017-11-18 19:35

2017-11-18 19:38
It can be said that the greatest fear of mankind has always been the unknown. It's alreadyhard enough for most people to put themselves in a state of mind where they can imagine and accept there is nothing after their death, and that is despite all the informations and scientific knowledge we have nowadays. There is no suprise that religions emerged in those times, what's more surprising is the number of people still clinging to those beliefs. It's certainly more akin to mental weakness, escaping the harsh truth than having a low iq. We could still make a small corelation between mental fortitude and intellect.
2017-11-18 20:03
Escaping hard truth? Weakness? You do realize that the suicide rate is way higher in the non religious/atheist communities, right?
2017-11-18 21:28
? Is it supposed to be surprising considering commiting suicide is depicted as being a sin. Christians, for exemple, clearly state that someone doing so won't be able to go to heaven, being traped inside purgatory. Taking your own life when explicitely believing that there is nothing after doesn't strike me as particulary *weak*. Doing so while believing in a magical lala land *heaven* and that you will have another chance at life with a clean slab *reincarnation* doesn't ask the same mental foritude. Hence why you have so many people willing to commit suicide for their causes. Or do you think suicide bomber are particulary courageous and mentaly stable?
2017-11-18 22:22
You described suicide in a really baised way just to serve your comment, I will point it out and will stop the conversation after, suicide as you described is taking your own life knowing nothing comes after. Clearly that's not the reason why they take their life, instead it's because they are weak/drama queens/depressed/ungrateful so that they give up their consciousness, the most magnificent, complicated, incredible and valuable existence in the whole universe. You know, nothing match us, nothing. Yet we tend to give up for whatever reason it is, if we just knew what we own and what consciousness means. I challange you to a private debate about god, I have time when you do, you can easily say that you've done this before and you're sick of it. But what I'll provide is different.
2017-11-18 22:43
I'm not interested by your *challenge* nor do i wish to waste my time. Normally i don't reply such answers unless i can catter to as many individuals as possible. Therefore doing so in such a way is clearly counterproductive and meaningless. I'm not a paragon on the subject nor are you, if we want to educate ourselves and remold our acquiered view there are many videos, debates etc that will provide a better and more convenient vector to do so. (Clearly that's not the reason why they take their life, instead it's because they are weak/drama queens/depressed/ungrateful) I never stated the reason why they were taking their life, i just mentionned the impact of beliefs could have on such a decision and how it could be influenced by thinking you won't go to heaven/no afterlife etc. Honnestly speaking, there is no real argument about the fact that taking your life without believing in an afterlife is harder. Seriously the next time you want to be unbiased and actually have a discussion with someone you don't CHALLENGE them, the negative conotation going with it already show the color and the unwillingness to accept any other views that don't catter to what you ALREADy believe in. It's not a fucking contest. And yes i wasted a lot of time even discussing with jehova witnesses in the past, having a written discussion is a waste of time unless you can *touch* many people. I don't want to sound harsh, but seriously i even considered not replying.
2017-11-18 23:58
To be honest I apologize as I knew before that starting any debate or a discussion with challenging them is not the best idea. And when it comes to written discussions from your point of view, I decided to stop discussing with anyone about it, and try to have a skyped video conversation. I am religious I won't hide, and In the recent years I am facing double challenges as a religious(not in my country), I am no brainwashed nor unintelligent, and I honestly feel like after watching multiple debates and documentaries from both perspectives, and backes by my unique shia's philosophy and logic, I feel like every debate is always missing something, and it feels like people who's watching are not taking the bigger picture, which I am dying to show to people around the world, specially my friends

Somewhat... there are people who believe in the existence of a god but don't believe that persona has any impact whatsoever on the events in someone's life or everyday things. Those people can be pretty normal. As for people who believe hardcore in the existence of any type of god, yes, they are without any doubt stupid. There is no way a well functioning human brain would let itself believe that a 'god' is the reason behind every single thing that happens.
2017-11-18 17:57
He's not responsible and he's definitely not choosing what I am doing everyday, but it is under his will. I don't believe that god is the reason behind me doing anything, but I believe that he might be guiding sometimes

Not a true statement at all. I don't believe in a God and I'm not religious at all but some of the planets most intelligent people happens to be. It's not a measurement of IQ, it's a measurement of fear of what comes next. Some people need something to believe in, because that makes them feel like they have a purpose. Some people don't need that belief. It doesn't make someone smart or stupid, it just makes them different from eachother. The reason you think that religious people are more often less intelligent is because the media focuses on the religions and those people are more vocal than most non-religious people. Seeing as the stupid non-religious people doesn't need to shout out what they believe in as some sort of defense when someone question their faith or lack of. The religious people feel that need because they don't want to shake their foundation of their beliefs.

Well then as an answer to your question: Believers who believe without reasearching and thinking are generally unintelligent. On the other hand questioning people and people who don't believe without throughly learning all religions are generally intelligent. Human nature is so blind and sees what it wants to see. The best is to study all religions, try to read and see as much opinions and points out there and to reach an objective, rational choice.

2017-11-18 19:10
Scientists don't claim that the universe came from nothing. There is currently not enough information to say how the universe was spawned or what it may have been spawned from. There are hypotheses that the universe may have come from the multiverse or nothing or itself in a cycle of recreation, but the best answer to where the universe came from is that it is unknown. The best response to the unknown is acceptance or more research, not assuming a god did it, especially since there is no reliable evidence that any gods exist. If the universe came from gods, where did gods come from? Saying that the universe can't come from nothing, but complex, powerful, intelligent beings have no origin is special pleading. Also, an atheist is the one who does not believes deities or supernatural divine. Whereas, scientist define the moment of creation of universe, atheists may or may not care about how our universe was formed or what optimum conditions were present for such.

Religion was never made up religion is just product of evolution, religions are human universal so as pyramids, grow up and learn something noob, Human beings evolved to think religiously.
2017-11-18 19:25
'Human beings evolved to think religiously.' where did you get this from? Believing in gods exist cause we wondered what brought us here, and we didnt have the technology to ACTUALLY find out what's going on in this universe. So they create this being called 'god' to calm themselves down from not knowing. We werent evolved to think specifically religiousy. It's more so a bi-product of thoughts etc. There were +'s about believing in god back in the day maybe, but not today. Well kinda it is evolution, cause having a developed consciousness leads to deep thoughts etc.

Wrong and Wrong, Where did i got this from? i will show you a bit later but let me start with this, Religion is not exist to explain world but to explain what is being itself for example you see in genesis when god creates world, Heavens and the earth and trees, you can actually see that if you just get out of your house and look at the world, you are right that ancient people had a no science and that is very stupid to think about this stories as a scientific, let me first explain to you how human beings got idea of god, so when we still were apes in trees, So human beings have very similar hierarchy systems as chimps, For example dominate chimp stands on the top of the hierarchy so when we became self-conscious we started to telling stories about that one hero who was on the top of the hierarchy then we told other stories about other heroes and then we created one best possible here from 2 and then we did it like 10 times and eventually we got zeus so then we got jehova, You can think about him as who is on the top of the dominance hierarchy, Also as i said religious thinking is human universal that is self evident for example pyramids ancient people from different parts of the world build same kind of pyramids but they don't really understood why they build it let me explain to you one amazing thing that Carl Jung develop, So this people who build pyramids they don't really understand why they are doing that it's simply because religion is self-evidently product of evolution there is lot more evidence for that and there is no discussion about that as well, so this people who build the pyramids were not stupid they just don't understood what they are doing that is because they firstly act out what they don't understood then they started to dreaming about and then they started to telling stories about those things for example egyptian pyramids are very close representation of dominance hierarchy, in the top of the pyramid is eye of horus, he is the dominant, And when we lost religion in 20st century millions of people died because of it, religions are deeply naturally develop structers that keep our civilizational ive for a thousand years and when we lost it, something like soviet union happened, i think you should watch those before talking about something that you don't really know about no personal offense. You don't really understand religions don't you? watch those to at least get closer. youtube.com/playlist?list=PL22J3VaeABQD_..

Wait, you're telling me that I'm 'wong and wrong'? then you start telling me about your ideologies... You make some connection with the best monkey being on the top and being the leader with us believing in god? This must be a theory. Cause it doesnt prove that we're evolved to think religiously, but rather that we evolved with always having a leader. And us humans, as stupid as we are, made up this thing called god to fill in this 'leader role'. Also, you're telling ME you know that the ones who ordered the construction of the pyramids didnt know why they decided to build it? I dont think anyone but them knows why they built them. Keep in mind, I'm not saying they werent built for religious purposes, but how can you talk about the pyramids and its builders as if they represent humanity? Your response was literally about theories but I would like to hear more. EDIT: You edited your post and added more, cba to rewrite my response.

I'm never talking about any ideologies i'm just making example from religion that i knew at least something knew about it, So let me make more clearly for example religious structures build in your brain for example dramatic archetypal stories for example story of Christ he is the best man with no sin and stuff like that and every possible bad things happened to him and you love this kind a stories it's dramatazed and more dramatic it can't get that is why people love movies like avengers and stuff like that same reason why harry potter was so popular harry potters dies and Resurrected in almost in every same applies to quidditch that game in harry potter i don't know how j'k rowling knew so much about religious symbolism, Religion is symbolic ok let me give you more examples you to a bit understand what i'm really talking about so story of genesis explains how we got self-conscious, So there is lady he's name is Lynne A. Isbell she is good scientist and she wrote a book called The Fruit, the Tree, and the Serpent so she discovered that human beings became self-conscience because we were a fruit eaters that is why we see so well becaause of the color of the fruits, Secondly we were always eated by snakes when we were living in the trees and we started to see where snakes could possible be to not step in that place anymore and we started to see the future and woman made us self-conscience as well because they were always rejecting us when we wanted sex to reproduce so story in genesis telling exactly same thing, God creates adam and eve in his own image and tells them to not eat from this tree, So eve goes to that tree forces adam to came to that tree as well, And their is a talking snake there witch also tells them to eat that fruit guess what when adam eates that fruit he immediately becomes self-conscience and starts to hiding from god because he is ashamed to being naked he discovered that he is naked and he discovered that he will die because god tells them if you gonna eat from that tree you will die, You know what? this stories is no just stupid superstitious this stories exist for a reason, People remember this stories because it's true and have a deep meaning to us, And that is really happened when we discovered that we going to die everything became chaotic and starting to falling apart for us humans, i don't understand why you still try just deny facts or disprove something it's just there is no debate about this that religious thinking is nested in our biology, religious truth is a darwinian turth, So i let me make more clear about movies damn it's so complicated i think i make clear case in the first statement but obviously you didn't really understood it but it's ok, i want to say so much more but god-damn it's not an theory it's just simply a some facts from biology, And No they didn't know why they build the pyramids but know we know why did they, So as we didn't know 150 years ago why did we worshiped jesus i mean we only begin to understand religion. "You make some connection with the best monkey being on the top and being the leader with us believing in god?" Dude.............................i'm not gonna tried to explain it again it's complex............... not surprised why you don't really understand, but i think i made clear case in first. "Keep in mind, I'm not saying they werent built for religious purposes, but how can you talk about the pyramids and its builders as if they represent humanity? :( ..............................................................................

Bro, you're only writing this from your perspective which makes it seems super-biased, atleast from what I read. When I read your text all I see is you making connections between a lot things and religion, I mean, not everything has to be connected to religion. And some of the things you argue I could argue the opposite. But whatever, I agree there is so much to talk about and it's very hard to explain in 'words' I will check out the video. Have a good day.

I apologize how i wrote it down, mostly because i wrote in every fast and some of the words that i miss to write down is missing because i thought that i write it down but i didn't really write it because i was thinking about so many thinks in the same time, i also i don't think that i fully expressed my thought because i didn't really talk about this stuff much with anybody to fully develop my thoughts, Yes watch those videos that i linked i hope you will get idea at least but however i still want to say that reason why this movies are so popular because they are heavly mythologized for example Superman and lex luthor are almost same as christ and satan worst thing happened to a best man so as in harry potter he dies and rises from death constantly that is why people love it so much, And the Avengers are like monotheistic religions people are polytheists now and movie makers purposely putting religious symbolismin movies because poeple love it but people can't understand why they love it same applies to pyramids they had no idea why they build it but i think i still can't get my ideas i mean i still can't communicate with you let's put it on the side just watch videos that i give, they got religious archetype right that is why this movies are so popular, That is most easy way to put it. Have a good day to. youtube.com/watch?v=ZT6Qo146Ncs
2017-11-18 21:17
but again, what you're writing is superbiased, I'm open to a lot of things, but you need to agree on this and see that what you're saying isnt necesserily 'FACTS' as you call it. Also, your text are horrible to read, no separation or anything, makes it hard to respond to.

Not in the slightest, but I have religious friends and I respect their beliefs outright, as should everyone else. It's not our choice what others do with their lives, so let them live it anyway they like as they are breaking no rules or laws by believing in God and religion. Have a good day.

I told you about this already... Yet you have the audacity to claim we are the same age and that I am autistic; whereas you continue to imply bait and the fact you cannot read. Pathetically laughable, but saddening all the same. I wish you well and that you have a good day for the trouble you are currently having at the moment.

I think and Nikola Tesla belived in god but I am not 100% sure about that one.I belive in god but I don't belive he looks like some huge human which watch us from the sky.I think every human should belive in god on his own way.I am pretty sure religion is a little bit maded to scare people to not steel, cheat partners and stufs like that but I belive there is something like god.Be flexible, you can belive in god but on the other not to belive in everything what you found in Quran and Bible.Even if Nikola Tesla belived in god I think he haved very complicated imagination about him.I am pretty sure that he don't watch god like just some random guy that crated all.Maybe we should use brain when we imagining who is and what is god.

I find it to be just as stupid as believing blindly in science. The answer is that we know NOTHING.
2017-11-19 00:00
:D Most retarded comment ever. Agnostics are just butt hurt religious people.
2017-11-19 00:13
Well thats an ignorant statement. Ofcourse we dont know much in the grand scheme of things, but look how far western civilization has come just in the time youve been alive. Lets say you got cancer and the doctors offered you a treatment with a high successrate. I could guarantee you that you would say yes, and at the same time believe blindly in science. We dont know everything no, but we know more than we ever have, mostly thanks to science. Have a nice evening!
2017-11-19 00:23
Yeah, i know i know. Science is constantly debunking itself, that's what i mean by believing blindly in science. It's constantly changing, full of theories and assumptions. I wasn't necessarily referring to medicine.
2017-11-19 00:27
Yes, debunking itself, mostly meaning that science has taken yet another step and increased our knowledge. Also, medicine is science, the one goes with the other. While I do understand where you are going and that we cant always trust science and its theories, its usually because we havent got good enough equipment to prove it.
2017-11-19 00:39
