Top 1 Player in 2017?
fox |
Portugal RafaKimi
Who do you think its gonna be top1 in 2017? I dont think Niko will get it because Faze havent won many tournaments in 2017 Coldzera can get it but Sk kinda struggle in this year too So who is left?I dont think any of Astralis/G2 players really deserve it

I said that g2 and astralis didnt really deserved it... Niko does but Faze havent done anything huge
2017-11-18 23:49
ah like that. They win 3/4 tournaments ( Depends on IEM oakland ) That's pretty good and many finals maybe after Oakland and maybe blast
2017-11-19 11:15
G2 has won more tournaments than FaZe

2017-11-19 12:49
Uhh...WESG? EnVyUs won WESG last year, the 2017 WESG hasn't even started yet. Besides, it's unfair to count WESG, because FaZe can't even participate in it. Are you braindead? G2 has won EPL, DH Tours, and DH Masters Malmö in 2017. At DH Tours, the only decent opponent they had was...I dunno, HellRaisers, maybe, at BEST? Mousesports? Maybe nV? That's literally, like, mid-T2 competition at best. The EPL win was fine, and so was Malmö. They did good at both, and defeated a ton of good competition. So that's 3 events, 2 of which had decent competition. FaZe won StarSeries season 3, ESL One NY 2017 and the ELEAGUE Premier 2017. The two teams have an equal amount of wins, and FaZe had more dominant wins at the events they won (and have generally been placing better than G2 throughout the year, with the exception of the major, where, well...G2 got 9th-11th place, so not THAT much better than FaZe).
2017-11-19 14:10
hltv.org/events/2564/wesg-2016-world-fin.. WESG was in 2017. EnVyUs had 3 players from the current G2.
2017-11-19 16:07
"WESG 2016 World Finals". I just said "2017 WESG", grammatically denoting the 2017 edition of WESG, not that the last WESG took place in 2016, or that this one will take place in 2017 (which it won't). Numbers are hard, though, I know. Anyway, fair enough on the 3 players thing, I guess. 'cause that is super relevant to the present team, especially with a different IGL. Also, let's completely ignore the point about, uhh, y'know, FaZe not even being eligible to compete at WESG, 'cause why would that matter when you can make a half-assed point about the winners of WESG sharing 3 players from G2? All in all, 0/8 b8. Also, please go outside.
2017-11-19 16:47
the event was in January 2017 and thats the only fucking thing that counts! It couldnt be considered to the 2016 ranking as it didnt happen yet??? and they wouldnt leave it out you fucking moron! and every team consisting of 3 players of the previous team is considered equal to the previous team, thats a fucking fact! kys
2017-11-19 17:41
as far as i know it is different from organizer to organizer ... pro league and ecs have their spots depending on the orgs ... so 2 chances taking out tourneys won by envy (WESG) or taking out tourneys won by a 3 man core
2017-11-19 17:48
I know when the event took place. Nothing you said argued against any points I actually put forth. Might be good to learn some English before you start arguing with topics relating to it, fucktard. Also, did you...seriously also not read my point about FaZe not being eligible for WESG? Okay, let me type this out for you both retards in Caps Lock. FAZE WAS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR WESG ANYWAY, SO COUNTING WESG FOR G2 IS KIND OF UNFAIR/IRRELEVANT. FUCKING RETARD, READ THIS, AND THINK IT OVER. I'm done with you two hollow-skull mongoloid simpletons. I won't be returning to help you learn how to use your brain for future scenarios; go embarrass yourself further to other people, I don't care. I made my point, and that will be that.
2017-11-19 19:19

We have 2/5 of the biggest tournaments of the year coming up, as well as this and Blast remaining. FaZe can, and might very well (lets be real) get from 3 to the 6 wins that SK has.

FaZe can. Period. The "might very well" is so useless at this point. They "could very well" take IEM Oakland and they didn't, before Epicenter they were the absolute favorites and fans said the same, at the end of the day they didn't as well, whereas SK supposedly going through a tough phase were underdogs compared to FaZe or G2. We can speculate possible winners but not go much farther than that, and it's not that I'm against it, it's that the scene's instability doesn't allow it anymore.

So the reason why he was the best in the world was because of 1 shot, not because he was back to back major winner and MVP of both tournaments, with outstanding numbers all over the year, outfragging the other giants of the game last year. You're so illogical, unfortunately similar to SK's fanbase at times, FaZe fanbase goes full blind and unbiased when it comes to things like this.

I know he wasn't the best in the world just for that but I was just trying to support my claim that he is "lucky af" and you can't put it all onto me being a FaZe fanboy, I have never met any bitchy fanboys like everyone claims to have sighted in their ventures on hltv. Look, I take back the part where he was the best in the world for that one shot but did get very lucky on it and remember without that jump shot they might've lost the semi and never have been a major winning team. Even if I wasn't a "FaZe fangay' I would've still said the exact same thing just to point out.

Other cscrmn1
Of course he was lucky on that shot, everyone knows it, Coldzera himself has admitted the 1st and 4th kills he knew he'd kill but the jumpshot was luck. One thing people can't deny is that apart from that lucky shot, Coldzera was the most dominant player in 2016, by a mile. He's been the most dominant in 2017 as well although not as dominant as last year, because last year was no contest whereas this year there's a bit of a competition although Coldzera is leading it going to the last month of the year. But I see what your point is, the shot was vital for their major and part of their success =)

6* tournaments well, obviously cs_summit counts so cs_summit, iem sydney, dh summers, ecs s3, esl one cologne and epicenter and there are still a lot of tournaments that sk is gonna play, like: blast pro series, esl pro league, ecs s4 if coldzera step up on these tournaments obviously there's no chance for NiKo

its not based on teams tournament wins..its based on players performance at each tournament..by ur logic if coldzera would have shit rating every tournament and if SK would win a lot of tournaments is coldzera the best player then? No.. its true that the team must have a deep run but that doesnt mean they have to win every tournament lol

IEM Sydney despite being 200k $ should be counted as a big tournament considering the teams that attended it, that were the 3 best teams in the world at the time (SK, FaZe, Astralis), the best NA team at the time (OpTic) and North which is also a tier 1 team. And this final not only has that importance but the finals that occurred, with SK beating FaZe 3-1 on a BO5 so considering we had both NiKo and Coldzera in it, it might be more important than you think. But yeah I completely understand your logic and I can't blame =D

Only one tournament he played (cs_summit) was lower tier. IEM Sydney, Dreamhack Open and Epicenter were top tier tournaments considering both teams and prize pool.
