SK out of ECS
 |
Brazil Brazilian Wax
So, there some chances of SK being out of ECS. Right now, we have: TEAM MATCHES POINTS RD SK 16 27 1 LG 14 24 24 Liquid 12 21 -1 Liquid has 2 default wins against Ghost, and plays Cloud9, so of course they will have at least 27 and maybe go 1-1 with Cloud9, so 30? But at least 27. LG SK played all their games and has 27 points. Then there is Liquid with 21 points and with 4 games left. And Luminosity with 24 with 2 games left and they face Renegades. So, there is a good chance of SK missing ECS. Even bigger if the tie breaker is round difference...

#19 hltv.org/events/3060/ecs-season-4-north-.. Braindead? Its impossible. SK can only trade spots with LG, but they already secured a spot at the LAN. Can people use math on HLTV? jesus. EDIT: NRG (the team that is just under the line) already played their 16 games, and they have the same points as LG (But LG got 2 games less played).

If liquid would win 1 map with c9, 2 with ghosts and lg 2-0 renegades sk would be out
2017-11-23 03:38
Yeah. But i dont see RNG lose 2 maps against LG tbh. But whatever happens happens :)

Don't they teach math on Sweeden? Wow... Shocked.
2017-11-23 03:41
Liquid have 2 games, aka 3 points each if they win both, which means that Liquid would have 27 points. And the other team with 2 matches left is Ghost and Renegades (Both cant cross the line). LG can pass SK, But SK cant go under the line.

Liquid won 2-0 against SK, this would put them ahead in tiebreak
2017-11-23 03:03
Of course sk can go out.. Liquid with 27 points and 2-0 on SK is the tie breaker.. Sk needs ghost to take a map from Liquid.. Or LG dont go 2-0 against renegades.. If LG goes 1-1, SK and LG would have to play a BO3 decider because LG and SK tied 1-1 on their head-to-head match.
2017-11-23 03:04
it's RD not head to head as decider.

Actually If LG goes 1-1 then the round difference would be the decider Edit: Actually idk what would happen since SK went 0-2 against Liquid and 1-1 against LG, but also LG went 2-0 against Liquid. It's só confusing

Indeed, but what I'm trying to say is that even with a newcomer they were able to keep as top team, which shows us how valuable this core is (fer, fallen, cold) in the sense of adaptation and player quality itself.

2017-11-23 02:29
I don't think they care as much about ECS as EPL though. Felps would have to play ECS, and while I'm sure they don't mind, it has to suck swapping players for big LANs and having to completely rewind time to inferior setups, all your improvements have to be forgotten as Felps wasn't there to practice those with them.

LG will throw because they have another LAN event at the same time as ECS finals, thats the WCA finals, witch they are already qualified, so they let SK take the spot.

Postponed, mate.
2017-11-23 01:57
So much of that. Even if liquid wins 2 vs ghost they lose to sk with rd
2017-11-23 02:24
If Liquid lose a single map for Ghost and LG win just one map against RNG LG will make to finals.
2017-11-23 02:30
Depending on how they win those 2 maps against Ghost, Liquid still has a chance. Technically so does Renegades. Liquid stomping Ghost and Renegades stomping Luminosity could prevent both Luminosity and SK from making the playoffs.
2017-11-23 02:54
SK is already through. People in this thread are braindead lmao. SK cant go under the line (top 4) but LG can pass them since LG got 2 games less played. The OP of this thread is a retard.
2017-11-23 03:00
how so? If liquid wins 16 - 11 or less they pass sk on RD, and if lg wins one map x renegades sk is out
2017-11-23 03:28
It all depends on how many rounds Liquid can win against Ghost (if they win against Ghost ofc). Who knows, it could be a super close game. Both teams are struggling right now and it was only a 7 round difference between Liquid-Ghost just 30m ago.
2017-11-23 03:31
You are retarded... First you said SK cant go below the line... And called everyone braindead... And now you come up with this "it all depends".... You idiot.. SK is almost out of ECS... Liquid only need 5 round difference on this last map against ghost... Like 16-11 and they pass SK.. LG only need to win a single map against Renegades... And takes SK's place.. BRAINDEAD.
2017-11-23 03:46
my point was: > talks about the op being retard > writes a retarded and non accurate comment
2017-11-23 03:46
Because OP writes "SK out of ECS". Which is false, they arent out.

SK have 27 points mate.

yes my bad , but if LG make 27 pts , they would pass both liquid and sk with RD ,no ?
2017-11-23 03:32
Yes, but SK would only switch position with LG (Wich means LG finish 3rd, maybe even 2nd if they win both games against Renegades, and SK 4th) Which means SK would get the 4th spot (If something weird doesnt happen)

how about if Liquid wins Ghost on this last map now 16:11 they would get 2 RD and SK would have 1 ?

Yeah, then its probably RIP SK. But lets see what happens. ECS isnt a important LAN in my opinion. So i wouldnt rage or be sad if SK miss the LAN. Ofc its a 750K$ event, but i am OK if SK miss it.

It would be cool if SK made it, since it will be really good teams there. And we all know that teams like FaZe would crush LG on LAN, so it would be a wasted spot tbh.

im a hard SK fan , but i really think there is a possibility here , given the fact that RNG was struggling yesterday vs NRG i mean i think theres a possibility.
2017-11-23 03:36
Yeah, i think (and ofc hope) RNG can steal 1 map against LG (hopefully both). hltv.org/matches/2317453/renegades-vs-lu.. As we can see the matches between LG and RNG online have been close and both teams have won.

Actually SK will definitely be out if LG win just 1 map. LG's round difference is well over 16 more than SK, meaning even if they win first map 16-14 and lose 16-0 in the next one, SK is out. SK needs to pray that renegades take both maps.

From what i saw the analysts talking after the Liquid game, it seems like it since they talked that even if LG win one game and lose the other one and lose the other one with bad RD, they can still stay out of it. But their ranking is also different from HLTV's and there SK had +48 and LG +56, if i'm not mistaken.
2017-11-23 04:12
both ways sk is likely to be out

Seeing the ECS stream, yes can confirm RD is the tiebreaker. However, the table in HLTV is incorrect. HOWEVER, if LG win against RNG by a large margin they will eliminate SK Gaming.

In season 2 there was a 6-way tie in Europe and Dignitas won by RD so unless the rules have changed since then (it's been a year) then it's RD.

but it is ridiculous to decide using RD. RD is so random.......

Funny how, what fucked this up was Immortals. One of their wins was against LG. Now that they forfeit all their matches became 16-0 for opponents.

Yup. If the decider is round difference.
2017-11-23 04:24
LG have advantage in both RD and H2H, so they only need to take one map
2017-11-23 04:36
Rene suck online last time so
2017-11-23 04:24
well, if LG can take one map vs rng, then sk will out of ecs finals three of them have 27 points (if LG takes one map) so the tiebreaker would be in favor of Liquid and LG in H2H or RD - H2H 1. LG 3-1 (2-0 TL, 1-1 SK) 2. TL 2-2 (2-0 SK, 0-2 LG) 3. SK 1-3 (1-1 LG, 0-2 TL) -RD 1. LG above +8 (depends on result) 2. TL +7 3. SK +1 Liquid already qualified to LAN finals so SK need RNG to takes both map vs LG to qualify to ECS Final Edit: so there's a difference RD between hltv and ecs (because of IMT forfeit), but it doesnt change the result
2017-11-23 04:33
RNG ofc will lose to LG at least 1 map because they have no chance to qualify or degrade.

No, LG can also go out if they go 1-1 while winning 16-14 and losing by 10+. But then i got lost in the the ranking tables between ECS and HLTV too, but SK can go through with 1-1 too.
2017-11-23 04:37
no chance, even if LG lose 16-0 to RNG, they still have +8 RD (right now they have +24), and it still better than SK final RD ( +1) to make it simple : LG has +23 RD (from hltv and ecs) advantage from SK so even if they lose 16-0 (-16) they still have the advantage in RD

ECS had different RD, so i don't know if HLTV ranking is right.
2017-11-23 04:43
hltv is still right, it looks different cause IMT match doesnt count in hltv (due to forfeiting) maybe i can wrong, but as i see it, both still have the same standing

HLTV chart is wrong im afraid. Unless Im terrible in math and I failed counting till 11, SK has 11 wins not 9. 11 wins 5 losses.
2017-11-23 04:41
ECS is so random that the last rounds even not play at the same time. It gives room to manipulation!
2017-11-23 04:42
hltv doesnt count IMT match (due to forfeiting) and ECS still including IMT matches, but both have no real difference

I just made some calculations and HLTV is incorrect. They are counting the map NRG forfeited against SK as 1-0, not 16-0 (that would be the correct), which means SK is +16 in round difference, not +1.
