Hello MahonesDes. This thread is about the 25 best soups in the world, not about some overrated nonamers thinking they're good individually but can't even beat tier 9000+ teams. I suggest you to stay ON TOPIC and discuss about soups. Sincerely,

Potato leek is good but I'd rank french onion higher personally, a really well-made one can't be beaten. I've not tried over half the soups on that list tho so maybe my opinion isn't the most well-reasoned.

I don't know, i prefer bouillabaisse (fish soup) in Marseille, fishermen used to take carcass of fishes and make a soup from it or something like that, but now its different ofc its better, good, fish soups are the best anyway. every food has its own story.

That's sadly one of the few I've not tried. I do like fish soups too though - in Finland we have a cool soup called "lohikeitto" which is salmon, potato and leek, and that's pretty nice. I also had a really great lobster soup at a restaurant in Iceland last year (will try and remember the name of the place (edit: saegreifinn.is/ )). I think I'll still stick with my choice of french onion though :p

"Pfannkuchen" is something you bake in a pan an eat with jam. Those soup ingredients you are reffering to are "Frittaten".

Indonesian coconut beef soup, one of the favourite traditional dishes here. Rich in spices and you can use milk as a substitute for the soup.

Some of these are not soups even. Either was potato leek soup is really good. I think all Swedish people will remember the one you got in school. The only time you were happy about having soup as lunch
