did the round difference count for that case?in that moment i'm really happy that it count because i'm an Astralis fan but overall it would be bs because either the direct comparsion should matter where NiP won 2:0 against Astralis or they should make tiebreakers

RD = rundskillnad.

I don't want to sound rude here but can you guys talk in English ? I feel this is a debatable topic and I'd like to understand whats being talked about
2017-11-23 17:40
He was just explaining what round difference is.

its by how much you win your games for example if you win 16-14 its 2 rounds difference if you win 16-10 its 6 etc.the total of round differences you get in all your matches is an important factor for your ranking if you have the same points with another team.for example if nip have 20 rd and astralis 25 and they both have 33 points astralis will be at a higher place.
2017-11-23 17:55
What the fuck is that why is that used as a variable to judge the positions on table . Lets say for half of the matches a team has a standin and they lose with huge margins , and then they recover at later stages. That won't matter because they fucked matches in the past. Or , lets say a team is trying out players and they lose , and they layer find out someone which the team gels with and gets good results lateron , they are all for shit ? Dumb for esl

RD is bs just think about, if a team wins on OT by 19-15 he got 4 rounds but if the team wins 16-14 in regulation he only gets 2, should be head to head to see who go through and if the teams split up 1-1 after all matches they should do a Bo3, its online so wouldnt have any problem with times.
2017-11-23 13:54
Can you explain RD clearly please

OT wins only count as +1 RD, whereas 16-14 wins obviously count as +2 RD.

doesnt change the fact that they still give 3 points for OT winners and none for OT losers, and the fact the RD shouldnt be used as a tiebreaker, it should be H2H and if the teams split up 1-1, do a Bo3 between them after the league is finished, since they dont make all last matches of the teams at the same time, whats dumb as fuck, they shouldnt have problems with time for a Bo3 online..

Sure, whatever way is the most fair should be implemented. I just thought I'd point out that the RD works in that specific way in OT-matches, since he had it wrong.

They can still qualify but only if EnVy 2-0's Mouz with a minimum of 9 rounds+ (like 16-12 16-11) while GODSENT takes a map off G2
2017-11-23 13:57
Yep but there is no way dat can happen :)

Shouldn't be head to head first then if it was 1-1 round difference

If g2 wins both matches against GODSENT like 16-5 16-4, Astralis out. Hard to G2, but this is possible bs GODSENT is shit atm.
2017-11-23 14:25
But then points with mouz remain same

I personally think they should follow the ESL system where overtimes count for less, and you earn points instead of wins. With that applied, I think if there is still a tie, then the tiebreaker should be head-to-head. I changed my mind from round difference (even as an Astralis fan) because it doesn't make sense that just because you beat an easy team by more points you should qualify over a team that maybe beat that easy team a bit more easily because that easy team had a disadvantage or maybe even had to forfeit a match or something.

Couldnt have said any better +1
