CSGO not starting

My CSGO crashed out of nowhere yesterday while I was testing my new monitor (went from 60hz to 144hz, dunno if it affects this) and now it refuses to start up again. It tells me that the game is already running and closing the process doesn't work. Validating the game files doesn't work either. Does anyone know the solution to this?

If it tells that the game is already running then you wanna close it and open again. You cant open 2 csgo at the same time.

Ahh, found it. So I would have had to previously have changed something there for this to become a factor now?

Try updating your video drivers

My game messed up like that few months ago. Turned out it was video card drivers in my case. The monitor shouldn't be an issue.

gonna have to reinstall then? also check your nvidia control panel and exhibition settings to see if everything is set to 144hz correctly edit: yeah, and update drivers. driver booster should do it if u dont have any software for it
