For example, transaction fees that are charged to the customer by the Bitcoin network have skyrocketed this year, topping out at close to $20 a transaction last week. Future of payment

They are not smart enough to just accept Litecoin or Bitcoin Cash, so the fees will be less. Of course it will be volatile. these are low market cap assets

bitcoin will never be the future bitcoin would mean that we dont need the money system anymore and the money system is the only thing that keeps us in control on not running loose. they will do anything in their power to make bitcoin drop or ban otherwise we would finally gain our well deserved freedom away from the system
2017-12-07 21:25
can't ban it. go learn something.
2017-12-07 21:26
well they decide how things are paid they can ban it in every store in the world so ye u will still only be able to pay in the darknet with it its not like u will ever be able to buy food, drink,,apartment with bitcoins ever
2017-12-07 21:31
you cannot stop anyone from sending 226 bytes of data to someone else. Bitcoin was designed to be anti-fragile. it cannot be banned - even if the internet is turned off, you can still use Bitcoin via satellite phone.
2017-12-07 21:32
And if they make it illegal for stores to accept it, it will just create the biggest black market the world has ever seen in that country. They can't keep drugs out of prisons. Do you think they can prevent me from sending 226 bytes of data to my friend? LOL
2017-12-07 21:33
cant ban it when u already control it :) wake up fam they are playing all u fools like a game of poker
2017-12-07 21:36
they couldn't even get a hardfork to 2mb blocks. you think they can control bitcoin? the economic nodes control bitcoin. those are 20,000+ nodes all across the world. they choose what software they want to run. go learn you're confused
2017-12-07 21:38
ye come back to me at 2018 and lets talk again :D until then feel free to pump all ur money into it

2017-12-07 21:25
Bitcoin will never change money. All powers at work will do anything they can to lower the value or even completely ban it.
2017-12-07 21:28
Explain to me how you will ban mathematics.
2017-12-07 21:29
They will find a way like they always do.
2017-12-07 21:33
Bitcoin is designed by people far smarter than government employees. They cannot ban it and they know it.

I am glad there are smart people on hltv, not only children which apparently have 3+ bitcoins per person. Bitcoin is great place for those who trade at blackmarket, for example terrorists and some government officials which steal tax money from people. At one point most of the countries in the world will just say no to any sort of cryptocurrency or just make its usage illegal and track down all those criminals who hide in there. Which will obviously provoke price drops and mass sales of currency = fall of whole scheme. Bitcoin is like a meme of 2017, as soon as hype will fall down, it will be back to 1k or less
2017-12-07 21:39
what about my friend that used bitcoin since 2014 to send money to his family in Venezuela because it was illegal for them to own a bank account there? are they criminals?

"illegal for them to own a bank account there" "are they criminals?" You see some connection between these 2 sentences?
2017-12-07 21:40
So all government laws are just? You think the government should have the ability to control how you store your wealth? If you think someone is a criminal because they want to open a bank account, /ignored.

There should be specific reason why they arent allowed to own a bank account there, either they are illegals, or those countries are in bad relationship, or maybe any of these families have fishy financial story. You cant just say no, sorry, we wont take your money.
2017-12-07 21:43
Do you know anything about Venezuela? Go learn stuff. Bitcoin has literally saved lives in Venezuela because it allows them to order food via Amazon.

Why would i need to know anything about Venezuela, you can say same thing about every country and call person dumb, i care only about those countries that make some sort of impact on mine. There are 100+ countries in the world and i bet you dont know history even of 5 of them
2017-12-07 21:45
Well you should learn how Bitcoin is used by good people all over the world. Believe it or not, the governments in these third-world countries don't want what's best for their citizens. WOah!

You realize betting sites were just blocked by some countries, same thing can be done with blockchain and rest of those wallets.
2017-12-07 21:50
You don't need any online wallets to own bitcoin. There will always be countries all over the world allowing anyone to host their gambling sites. You can also host it via the onion. Go learn about it before you criticize it.

All of your words translate into: " I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW BITCOIN WORKS ". It's a completely new technology that does not even rely on the Internet itself. It's a revolutionary technology. Learn about it.
