bitcoin has a utility
2017-12-11 17:39
not really. bitcoin, as a crypto currency is obsolete. the only utility for bitcoin right now is storing value, like gold, thus the 'gold 2.0' nickname wallstreet is giving bitcoin. blockchain technology is the future, bitcoin is widely popular because it was the first to sucess. even if it is a bubble, the value will increase with the mass scale adoption it is having. probably wont drop. bitcoin @ 100k by the end of 2018.
2017-12-11 17:46
Couldn't have put it better myself!
2017-12-11 17:55
you can buy lots of stuff with it probably the biggest market for it is still the drug markets on the darknet but also many internet stores accept it
2017-12-11 18:27
You gotta be fucking retard to compare future new technology to flowers. Remember this in 5-10 years, it was not a bubble and I told you so.
2017-12-11 17:42
It absolutely is a bubble and it will crash so fucking hard because it has no inherent value but the trust of gullible people still buying into it.
2017-12-11 17:51
Do you even know how the blockchain and lighting network works? It will change the whole economicsystem
2017-12-11 18:11
you dont know that.
2017-12-12 13:48
according to Deutsche Bank's chief investment officer. finextra.com/finextra-downloads/newsdocs.. The bankers predicted that roughly 10% of the global gross domestic product (GDP) would be tracked or otherwise "regulated" by a blockchain by 2027. Just give it 10-20 years and it will be everywhere The presentation said: “We expect that the blockchain will change the business model of companies in a sustained way. The blockchain technology enables a faster and cheaper exchange of assets and financial products between individuals without an [intermediary], which reduces the asymmetry of information between the individuals.”
2017-12-12 19:13
blockchain is not the same like bitcoin. you know that right?
2017-12-14 17:09
Is that your comeback? gtfo out of here
2017-12-14 18:00
yes, that is my comeback. the blockchain technology will be used, yes. but bitcoin itself is a huge pile of useless garbage. and once people figure this out, boy oh boy will the money be gone my friend. google for frank thelen, he talks about this issue in one of his interviews. he is german, maybe you can google translate or w/e.

a lot of markets arent allowing the BC anymore because of his instability. Its not because its going to hit 50 000$ that its not a speculative bubble. We will see when it will hit its maximum and the bitcoin wont be accept anywhere. The bitcoin is a ponzi pyramid, what ever you say. And its exactly why its taking so much value.

2017-12-11 17:48
Bitcoin is a giant ponzi scheme.
2017-12-11 17:46
The issue is that it is built exactly like one, but the adoption of it by many goverments and banks is what is driving it’s growth.
2017-12-11 18:04
huh from what ive been hearing more and more countries are starting to ban it. China ect. Im not saying that Bitcoin cant be a valid currency it just creates so many problems more than it solves.
2017-12-11 18:07
And what are these problems it creates? :D
2017-12-11 18:12
Chinas ban is temporary as they look for ways to utilize i

What problems?? Bitcoin is just a way to break the governmet's monopoly under the currency. Central banks are impressing too much money (mainly China) and the world is getting on a new financial crisis, that's why bitcoin has such a value right now. Or you preffer to be controled by the govenment?
2017-12-11 18:53
Bitcoin is still pegged to the dollar. The price of it has nothing to do with the fact that more people become see it as some sort of intrinsic value like Gold but as a way to make a quick buck in a speculative bubble.

Man, people don't even know the truth about 1929. How is t gonna crash if it's not a bubble?? There are many motives for its value, like China. People are getting rich and those who said it was a bubble are mad AF.

These dumbs who think governments are banning bitcoin because it is bad... They are banning because it takes their monopoly under the currency. It's not a bubble, it's just a way to keep the govenment out of or lives. Looks like these american and europeans leftists want to be controled...
2017-12-11 18:39
I'm not an expert on cryptos but this is how I see Bitcoin Currency only works if its stable. No huge swings up or down, you want to pay same amount for products / services today and tomorrow. Its not very useful for currency to go up in value. Bitcoin is supposed to be a new currency. It doesn't have any value if people dont start to use it as a currency - it will not be used as a currency if the value keeps going up. Why would you spend any if the value is doubled in a few months? The value of Bitcoin is going up because there is more demand for it and there is more demand because the value is going up, but its not an investment product, its only a currency. It doesn't produce anything, its not a stock. People hardly ever invest on currency, and if they do they are basically investing in one country's economy related to others, which is not the case with bitcoin. So what I see here are two options: 1. Bitcoin becomes a real currency (today nobody is actually using it to buy anything, most of the transactions are only investing in the bitcoin itself). If this happens the value of bitcoin will become more stable, the value vs dollar might be higher than today, but hard to say where it settles. 2. Bitcoin doesn't become a useful currency due to legislation or other crypto currencies taking its place or the bigger investors loose their faith on it. Value will crash. Summa summarum, I'd think the best time to invest in Bitcoin is 2012 and best time to sell them is now. Investing on bitcoins today is just pure gambling, it might go up to 50k or to 250k sure, but if it doesn't become an actual currency it doesn't have any value, and if it does you dont know where the value will settle, but certainly it will settle. I'm happy to change my mind if someone can explain to me why my thought process is faulty.
2017-12-11 19:05
exactly , you cant buy anything with bitcoin.. bitcoin has no paper value. you can only buy bitcoin with bitcoin so what can you do with it... well you can collect more bitcoin. pointless invester scam
2017-12-11 19:15
And even if you could buy something, why would you when you don't really know what you are actually paying for it? :D

You can still make some money now, but essentially its too late to make a big buck unless you invest a ton, which is very risky. If anything, those with a lot of Bitcoin will dump them soon. I wish I had sold mine at 19k USD, but I'm holding on to mine. I bought them really low ages ago so it doesn't matter if they drop below 10k for me. I have full alerts on though, had real nerves on last Friday when it was going up and down. If it goes above 20k I'll probably sell mine, especially if it starts dipping rapidly afterwards. I suspect those with most Bitcoins will dump & pump soon enough.
