0 = 0 is an undefined expression, it's like saying 0/0 the meaning of undefined is that it has multiple answers 0 = 1-1 0 = 2-2 0 = 3-3 each one is a separate answer, it doesn't mean that 1 = 2 = 3 0/0 is undefined because it can have multiple answers depending on the function 0/0 = 0 if function in denominator grows (converges) faster than one in numerator 0/0 = inf if function in numerator grows faster than in denominator 0/0 = 1 if both functions grow equally, see sin(x)/x at x = 0
