Not only your military, but also civils killed 130 000 polish civils with a big brutality. Also till this day you think Bandera is your national hero. The fact is that you deserve all the bad things you get from Russia. You should never really exist in the first place. But that may happen..

"Wolyn Massacres was part of an ethnic cleansing operation carried out in Nazi German-occupied Poland by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA)'s North Command." "The killings were directly linked with the policies of the Bandera faction of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN-B) and its military arm, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army" "The Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN), of which the Ukrainian Insurgent Army would have become the armed wing, promoted removal, by force if necessary, of non-Ukrainians from the social and economic spheres of a future Ukrainian state." Are you retarded? That's not even a question since your logic is "Earth is flat" "It is flat until you give me document in which it says it isnt". It is confirmed that Ukrainians did that. Stop deny obvious things. Maybe it was also spanish holocaust? English volynia? Stop being biased.

Actually, the number is 80k - 100k... but fine, just stop talking about this. It isn’t funny and we all get that it is fucked up and was a really wrong thing to do.

No. The thing is that you people dont get it. As I said - your countrymen see Bandera as a hero. He has his statues all over the country, the big amount of nazis from your country praise him in every national march and so on. Germans had Hitler and comparing to Ukraine loving Bandera not many Germans love Hitler and put him as a national hero. This is the mentality difference.
2018-01-20 19:17
I don't know a single person that likes him, nor do I support him my self. I am of the upper class, so are my friends. It’s mostly the stupid and uneducated people that support him, people that never even got to know what things he did, since they didn't study him In school. All they know about Bandera is that he tried to make Ukraine independent. That is enough for them to make him into a praisable person. You won’t change anyone’s mind by making me uncomfortable on this website, mostly because most of those people don't even speak english.
2018-01-20 19:26
Actualy not more then 30-40 thousands.
2018-01-21 00:02
I am saying what the wiki page says. 30-40 thousand is Galicia only. Maybe even less then that.

2018-01-21 17:04
Number is much much less. So same question - do you know Polaks also killed a lot of Ukrainians then? Or you goverment dont like to say about it cuz it doesnt give them ratings points? Pitiful shit...

The polish wiki gives 130 000k~. English one gives 70 000 to 106 000 which is still big enough. Who attacked who? Oh. Yeah. Ukrainans attacked Poles. Ukrainian kids and husbands were killing polish mothers. Have you heard about ukrainian father wanting his sond to kill his polish mother, but the kid kills father and then gets shot by your nazis since he is "traitor of your country"? Wait wait.. no. It's also our propaganda right?

Every time i read news there is an article like "a group of Poles beat up a Ukrainian somewhere in Poland". This is the result of the "dirty" policy of your state. enough blood and enough to live by old times. apologize to you. wish u good health

2018-01-19 10:01
That depends, really. Ripping off tourists is actually an omnipresent tradition in pretty much every tourism-heavy location, but Ukraine doesn't have much of these if any at all. Sometimes you can get unlucky with taxists, but again - these are scoundrels pretty much anywhere in the world. Overall, I would say if you don't go to some shady-looking places you've got nothing to be afraid of whatsoever. We don't get that many western tourists and those we do we treat with respect so that they leave with fond memories.

2018-01-19 19:51
Who cares school system when u get money lol
2018-01-21 00:33
well u just called countries without government as a part of a union that decides everything for them (or America in terms of South Korea) in terms of internal policy they are cool indeed
2018-01-20 18:22
Well, as Poland and Hungary have recently shown us - the union doesn’t necessarily decide everything. Still, I kind of agree with you regarding only the internal policies being good, but this is what I actually consider to be the most important part of a country - to have your people live happy lives.
2018-01-20 18:27
of course we tend to care about the price of petrol and milk but not many of us understand that successful external policies is a key for economic growth like it was the whole history
2018-01-20 18:28
These days everyone (almost Kappa) lives in peace and harmony, so with proper leadership any country can grow even without an other country stepping in. Just like Switzerland grew while being completely isolated.
2018-01-20 18:31
bad example about Switzerland it is just a piece of land that has a lot of mountains and few resources and assault of such a country in context of ww2 for example was just pointless, believe me they would be fucked if their land could make any use yeah these countries are growing but they are not independent thus they tend to do what they are told. but still people only care about themselves ( e.g. Americans that don't know shit about what is going on abroad that is why CCN so effective)
2018-01-20 18:34
So who is in charge of such countries ?
2018-01-21 00:38
the one who is in charge of the union or basically who owns these countries like South Korea will not make any step without US and any western europe country e.g. denmark and others won't make a single breath without consultation
2018-01-21 11:44
Yes but my question was who is the power that controls union ?
2018-01-21 13:06
well i guess right now US owns it all, it also describes the reason of brexit, but England and France used to affect it until 90-s when America took it all, u can just look up every decision of european union (i am speaking of external policies) doesn't favour the union itself and usually damages the economy that is why u can the the rise in German opposition for example. But they got their ass covered that is why they tolerate such policies

If you mean Turks as in actual Turkey citizens then no, I haven't even heard of anyone hating on Turks, we basically have no reason to. I personally knew one turkish guy here, he owned a couple of bars/restaurants and was a very, very nice guy. (don't know why I say 'was', just haven't met him in years). However, if you mean turks as a general ethnicity, then some animosity may exist. They are derogatorily called "churki" by some. Mostly because of how some representatives of these peoples behave themselves here. It's not a specifically Ukrainian thing though, it's the same for all slavic post-USSR countries.
2018-01-19 13:34
Yeah, it is racism some Ukrainians infected from russians during ussr period.

Isnt Latvia just Latgalian tribes that colonized Germanic Riga eventually. Such a shame that we dont speak the same language anymore to unite our countries.
2018-01-19 16:04
Latvia is something much greater than just Latgalians. Well, I think there's no need to emerge/unite our countries - you would get a huge package of brainless Russians(no offense to normal ones) and shit like that. We've open borders, same currency, mindset(kinda) and 1 hour drive to your border. That's already enough

Yea there is a problem with big slavic minority in Latvia but it hasnt even been 30 years so I think things will improve. Also unified LT-LV is suprising 130K Km2 or bigger than 1/3 territory of Germany. Would be a new mid sized European country. (also I am saying if EU collapses we should unify)
2018-01-19 16:15
That would be impossible. It is literally impossible to make everyone happy about the capital city - Riga or Vilnius, I'd go for Riga but many(mostly Lithuanians) won't agree with me. Latvians would be against Vilnius. That is one kind of a problem. It would divide society much more than it is already. Not to mention that it is not all.

Yea it would be hard. But not impossible. For me I feel like Vilnius is such a far away city for Latvians. Not because of geography but in terms of history and culture. I would say biggest Samogitian city of Siauliai. Samogitians were always the transition people of Lithuanians to Latvians.
2018-01-19 16:25
yeah, but expect Akropole, Siauliai is literally not suitable of being the capital city

Yes right now its abonded af. But the new Balt country would be pretty big and would build it up eventually. I would say second option is Jelgava.
2018-01-19 16:31
Kinda the same what is with Siauliai. Actually among the Latvians, we're kinda calling Siauliai as the Latvian Jelgava. It is nearly the same.

Yes well obviously these border-land cities are pretty dead right now. Lithuania has some other big cities besides Vilnius. Idk... I will just leave u with the idea :) EU wont last for much longer. Estonia will integrate with Finland in the future.

Yes, after Kyivan Rus collapsed it came in the Great Lithuanian principality, where straight ancestor of modern Ukrainian languauge Rusian language (not modern so called russian ) was official.

In waht sence? Hm, let me think, moscovit. You see, in terms of Christianity and faith in god in general all people of the world are brothers. But there are nuances, you know... For example your country moscovia are officialy mostly orthodox, but the problem is most of you distorted essence of Christianity. On fact you use like weapon to justify your stat`s crimes against different countires, like Ukraine right now. We are not brothers in terms of antropology - even your scientists prove it. We have different mentality, traditions, language, culture, history and so on. The fact of occupation of east part of Ukraine-Rus by moscovia over 300 years didnt make us "brothers".

you have not right to say for all Ukrainians. Try to say so to families of Ukrainian soldiers killed by russian mercenaries and also russian personnel troops changed clothes to " rebbels " - "people of Donbas" and also simple brainwashed by kremlin`s lies real people of Donbas. Btw a lot of so called people of Donbas was moved from moscovia to territory of Donbas after Holodomor - genocide of Ukrainians made by moscow. So that`s why there a lot of ethnic moscovits ('russians')
2018-01-19 18:31

what average people from Ukraine think about S. Bandera?
2018-01-19 12:32
Average people from Ukraine hate Bandera. Nationalists praising Bandera, cuz they think he was trying to make Ukraine independent.
2018-01-19 12:34
Totally depends on the region. Bandera is praised in more nationalitic regions like Kiev, where we recently had “moskovsky prospect” renamed to “prospect Stepana Baderi”. On the east most people hate him. I’d say its 50-50.

Serious question tho, how much is rent in Ukraina?
2018-01-19 12:35
Rent on a flat? If yes, which type of flat? How many rooms? Location? City? :D It is all very important.
2018-01-19 12:37
Uhm just on average can i get an apartment for 100euro per month in some shitty Village or smth :p
2018-01-19 12:44
you can get really good apartment for 100euro per month here. Something like 3 room flat or two-room flat in worse location. Maybe in central Ukraine (Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk etc.) you can get only 1-room flat for 100euros a moth but in a good location. :) In some shitty village you can have almost a palace for 100euros a month :DD
2018-01-19 12:45
100 euros per month.. that's about what I pay for internet+phone.
2018-01-19 13:15
:DD we have very good and cheap internet here... you might heard about it. smth like 4-5$ per month for 100/m-bit unlimited internet with good quality.
2018-01-19 13:25
Well I have 100/100 fiber (unlimited) as well, so I'm not complaining. Taxes in the north are just insane.
2018-01-19 13:24
you have higher taxes, but you also have higher salaries and higher living-standards dude... :) I wouldn't complain it's bad or smth.
2018-01-19 13:25
I know, don't worry. It's getting worse now with all the migrants, thought. Putting a lot of pressure on our system when we have to support more people who doesn't work.

2018-01-21 13:21
You can't get 1-room flat in Kyiv in good location for 100€, unless you wanna live in really shit conditions.

We’re completely different nations with different culture and history. 2018-01-19 13:05
Idk... Bandera did try make Ukraine independent, though his ways were extremely questionable.. Still, he commited some awful crimes and shouldn't be a national hero. We just dont have too many historical people to consider as fighters for independence, that’s probably why the government takes what it’s got and people just support it without getting into the whole thing.

"nazi from the west of ukraine" when I read something like this I feel like I am on russian tv, pls come to Lviv and you gonna have a chance to see the mecca of "terror and nazism, the centre of oppression of an innocent russian people" xD
2018-01-20 16:58
You misunderstood me. I didn't say that West UA = ONLY Nazi, but if you ask which region has more I'd say West... Disagree?
2018-01-20 18:05
the nazism of west regions manifests in our desire to be free from russian influance or in our right to not call russians as our "brothers" or maybe in our right to speak ukrainian ? pls enlighten me, cause I'm "zapadenets", I'm too stupid to get this. But since you admitted yourself in being russian in #52 it starts to be clear for me why you have thought like that p.s. I don't hate russians, I just truly believe a nation that support annexation of our lands can't be called as brothers, even though not all of them wanted this
2018-01-20 18:37
1) Ukraine is my motherland and I was living in Ukraine my whole life. (For sure I was abroad many times, but my home was always Ukraine). Now i'm living in Germany btw. 2) I truly believe that as a nation the most of Russians are our brothers, I mean their mentality is very similar to ours and vise versa. Our traditions are similar. For sure historically neighbor countries don't like each other, but it is only about politics and propaganda (from BOTH sides!). 3) My idea is to cut f*cking shitty propaganda out of your head, to forgive that shit which your relatives may told you (cuz they might be affected not only by truth, but also by propaganda in the past). And to start live with your OWN mind and your OWN experience! And the last one, do you really think this hate against each other (UA-RU) leads to something good? Hardly doubt it. And as a country we most likely were never independent, cuz the influence of USA-Russia-EU is huge on us. Yes, Ukraine was a powerful country of factories and nuclear stuff, but even in that times we were not independent... And I don't say it's good or bad, but there is no need to talk like we are superior country which can survive without our neighbours/allies. Nowadays, we CANNOT.
2018-01-21 09:37
"My idea is to cut f*cking shitty propaganda out of your head, to forgive that shit which your relatives may told you " what exactly is propaganda ? Are you trying to say russian mercenaries on Donbass is propaganda ? Or maybe the annexation of the Crimea is propaganda ? Or when Soviets entered Lviv in 1939 they started evicting people from their houses (now every single person ofc, oly the one who was living in luxury apartment). Is this propaganda as well ? If we were brainwashed by propaganda we wouldn't let thousands of Donbass and Lugansk refugees to came here you know, we accepted them. And for this they still call us "banderi i zapanetci" even though they live here xD As I said I don't hate russians, I just don't have a single reason to love them as well
2018-01-21 09:51
OK, let's start. 1. Propaganda is when TV/internet/newspapers/politicians trying to turn you against something/someone. And you can't deny the fact that propaganda against each other in both Ukraine and Russia is presented. 2. About your facts with Crimea, Donbass, Lugansk etc. Yes, I believe that they annexed (or trying to annex it), BUT you forgot the main thing here. Soldiers just do what their commander told them to do. So I don't blame them here too much. But I agree with you about some brainwashed people who ate all propaganda against Ukraine and celebrating the annexion, it's ridiculous! I also blame some Russians cuz they could easily go on big meetings and try to stop this war. They tried it for sure, but not too much people sadly... So with all these facts I still have a question, is this hate against each other could lead us to something good? Or it could lead us to a non-stop war with many deaths and tragedies? 3. The fact we accepted people from Donbass and Lugansk doesn't mean we are not affected by daily propaganda. it only means we are still humans who accept people who agreed with our concepts. 4. "banderi I zapadentsi*" Well, there was always a big cultural difference between Western and Eastern Ukraine and it is, in my opinion, the biggest problem of our nation. people on each side think they are better than on the other side. And also think they are right and the others are not right. So I can easily say that Western people like to call Russian-speaking "moskali I kotsapi". It is also truth and you must know it as well,.. :) So I say again, HATRED BREEDS HATRED. Remember that... And try to change something in your mind at least to turn this situation to better.
2018-01-21 10:10
"Well, there was always a big cultural difference between Western and Eastern Ukraine and it is, in my opinion, the biggest problem of our nation" firstly I thought the same but look at Switzerland, Belgium and so on, people there have 3-4 official languages, the amount of cultural and religious differences is even higher than in Ukraine. We are just 200 years behind in the cultural aspect thanks to USSR
2018-01-21 12:11
Show me something similair on Ukr tv youtube.com/watch?v=ItsAfKt-c7A&t=6s or shut up.
2018-01-21 12:29
I won't spend my time on searching YouTube vods as proof. But don't make fool of yourself dude. You know same as me that Anti-Russian propaganda is on our TV 24/7. And also there is a huge propaganda in school lessons especially on subjects as History / Ukrainian history and Ukrainian language and literature.
2018-01-21 13:21
What a shameful bullshit! You probably think you are smart or somth like that. So how you dont understand then that practically all developed countries make propaganda anyhow. This is called the protection of their own national interests. Ukraine forced to do it more active and this is understandable and justified since russia makes against us not just propaganda but true inform war! What did you expect Ukraine to do? To be an example of a defender of freedom of speech and human rights in such conditions? Specially knowing perfectly about 5th colunmn in Ukrainian society including mass media? Pff. You offered me to think, so it is you who should do it first. And btw are you German citizen already? Do you still have Ukrainian citizenship? Do you watch RT or other russian channels?

The fact I'm living in Germany now means nothing. I was living in Ukraine my whole life and all those maidans and other stuff. The worst thing about UA patriots like you is you don't see the fails from our (Ukrainian) side, but you only see fails from Russian side. For sure they invade a big part of our country, but look at our behavior first. I don't say about "Ukrainians eating Russian children" or some other retarded bullshit which was spread by the Russian TV, but I mean other things. Try to think at least, and turn off your over-patriotic gargabe please. Try to think independent and just by your own experience, not TV/internet or UA history from school which was completely screwed up.
2018-01-21 13:16
1. What exatly do you mean when say about our "behavior"? 2.Exatly what "other things" you mean? 3.What exatly you call "over-patriotic" garbage? 4. I dont watch tv for years. 5. The only plain thing you meantioned is Ukr history in schools was absolutely screwed up, as Ukr literature btw. They didnt teach real history and conitued to tell 'russian' version of our history - mostly fake and biased. Well, without specification of all 4 points I mentioned your answer is no more than demagoguery and populism.
2018-01-21 14:42
Well said
2018-01-21 12:20
Yes, disagree. Better dont talk about things you have no clue, specialy such resonant. In short words there is Much more racism and xenophobia in East Ukraine, cuz it was subjected to greater influence of russia where it has been living all ussr time and even longer. Its not typical for Ukrainian nature at all. We are different.
2018-01-21 00:09
Oh God, you are praising us as the best nation in the World. I understood your patriotism, but let's face the truth. Westrn Ukraine and Poland are pretty similar in terms of hate on any "strangers". It's a pure fact and I can talk about that cuz I faced that stuff by my own experience. I don't say that all WEST UA are not friendly to strangers, they are friendly, but not everyone. And in this case I don't care about what happened in the past. just estimating the facts.
2018-01-21 09:41
Nobody perfect you know, there is no holy human beings in whole world. That`s why your these dont matter. Thinking your way we can say that practically everywhere we can meet racists, xenophos or even nazi. But you damn probably used to say think shit about West Ukr cuz you probably biased to some extent. it becomes clear from what you said before. It is sad such citizens of Ukraine like you tell to foreigners about Ukraine. Its kinda anti-Ukrainian propaganda made by people with Ukrainian passport. Disgusting
2018-01-21 10:40
You must re-read to understand it correctly, cuz you didn't.
2018-01-21 10:53
Your theses.

2018-01-20 18:16
Dude I visited West UA many times and you can't change the facts which I saw with my own eyes.
2018-01-20 18:21

2018-01-19 13:09
If you are confident with great English accent and you know what hygiene is = easy. check #95 he wrote almost all steps that you need. the main thing = just don't be scared, we have some very beautiful chicks here even in night clubs, some foreigners thinking they are "top models" or smth but here they are just average so you don't need to be scary of them. just talk-talk-talk, bad reaction? change girl... ez profit.
2018-01-19 13:19
And also our girls like foreigners very much cuz they think that foreigners are more successful. Cuz War and revolution affected very bad on our men here.
2018-01-19 13:20
Why did you guys dropped your nuclear weapon in 1994 ? You lost Crimea to ruskies definitely because of this .
2018-01-19 13:19
There was international agreement. We gave all nuclear to Russia, but Russia promises to not fight with us. But they failed with their promise and we are already without nuclear weapons cuz we believed them before. Something like that...
2018-01-19 13:22
sad
2018-01-19 13:33
We agreed to sign a peace treaty that basically ment We give weapons = Russia kinda protects and never attacks. This was a great agreement for us at the time. However, now we can see the russian government is consisting of bunch of liars and corruptionists.
2018-01-19 13:27
sad
2018-01-19 13:33
Damn ! Dont pretend you dont realize what`s happening onfact almost 4 years! Stop blame only their damn goverment! Yes, they are bastards, mean and false gopniks and so on. But. They would never be able to do waht they already did and continue if they didnt know magority of moscovits support waht they do! Thet knew it perfect! Majority of moscovits are infected with neo-impire bacillus, strongly chauvinistic, xenophobic and racists! That`s the main reason of all what`s happening still. Stop live in idiotic illusions

what does ukrainians mostly think about russian people? Like, for example, in Brazil we have a common sense about argentinians as being stupid, unpolite, etc. What's like around there with your neighbors?
2018-01-19 13:34
why do you think ukrainians mostly think about russian people? what a ridiculous question
2018-01-19 13:38
If I'm asking is because I don't know and I'm curious to know your pov.
2018-01-19 13:43
mostly ukrainians in Ukraine are brainwashed now, that people hate all of russian people and ideas i am don't hate russian people i only hate russian "empire" government who still continues war in Ukraine
2018-01-19 13:49
So goverment do it by itself?
2018-01-19 15:50
yes or do you think that mostly russian people wanted war in Ukraine? or they bought all russian tv chanels for propaganda? Where does people find the money for this? or this is money loyal to Putin oligarchs, who support his policy? yes, itself
2018-01-19 16:01
So you wanna say that members of moscovitian goverment go to Donbas as mercenaries to kill Ukrainians who defend their god given land ?
2018-01-20 01:48
you are retard, i didn't say that, you can barely understand me because you are brainwashed so much, i wont talking with you anymore
2018-01-20 08:22
currently we think of them as close-minded, traditionalistic people with conflicting communistic-religious values with a love for authoritarian government and imperialistic worldview (they think they own the world and that the whole world owes to them) - they are "great" and everyone else is small. Obviously, there are decent, normal russians in existence, but unfortunately the most of what you can see on internet on average is very depressing. A lot of 'vata' (a term depicting a person with conflicting mess of mutually-exclusive views mentioned above).
2018-01-19 13:47
That was actually interesting and sad. Having a direct border with a country that their people and leader think like that is so fucking dangerous.
2018-01-19 13:56
I tend not to think of vatniks as the majority. They’re just the loudest part of the population and create an illusion of being the majority. I bet that at least 50% of russia’s population is either neutral or against the russian government.
2018-01-19 14:06
don't know about the exact percentages, but unfortunately I've seen a lot of those who are against the government, but still share a lot of 'vatnie' traits :(.
2018-01-19 14:11
Exatly.
2018-01-20 01:27
The biigest problem even if there are such who against kremlin and its agressive politic they do nothing to influence the situation. Tha`s also Ukrainians magority claim to them. Cuz they understand their state is commiting crimes and do nothing on fact while almost everyday Ukrainian soldiers die or get injured from their state`s weapon and as a rule from the hands of mercenaries and regular military personnel - their compatriots. So even if part of them really against regime they are still responsible for the crimes their state is commiting right now, til they watch major.
2018-01-20 01:18
Quite accurate. We are already lost. Hope you guys can do better.
2018-01-19 14:10
I don't think you are lost. It may still take many years and you may lag behind the world a bit, but eventually society will make progress past all of these retrograde tendencies. It's inevitable. Although I understand your pessimism, it's for sure depressing to see the people themselves not changing and not wanting to change. A lot of this is here as well, as in all the post-soviet countries. But eventually the world will drag you up along with itself or at least that's what I hope for.
2018-01-19 14:19
But its impossible without repentance. They are the official heirs of ussr - their president said so. So they are responsible for all crimes ussr made. And that`s why they wont be able to move ahead without public repentance before the world like Germans did after ww2. Alies forced Germans to do so ofc. But it was necessary for them without doubt like now for moscovits.
2018-01-20 01:23
I really don't know. It's an incredibly complex problem. I keep hoping that their people will wake up somehow and maybe do their own revolution of dignity and then for once there will be a Russia of normal, adequate people. Or maybe they'll just slowly evolve alongside the rest of the world. You mention Germany as an example of a post-imperialistic state that was forced to make amends - but think about other similar countries. Take Britain for example. They never apologized to anyone and they are a bit fucked up now (although lightyears ahead of Russia), but still they are not exactly hated by half of the world even though they owned it by conquest once. Frankly, I don't believe in concepts like repentance on country level. Their people and their mentality needs to change - that's what this is about, and it will be a very difficult change indeed. But I'm sure it'll happen, if only a hundred years in the future - eventually. People must look forward, not backwards. Their people will eventually understand this, too.
2018-01-20 01:36
Repentance is not about crying and so on. True repentance is change of consciousness first of all. For this, the Allies made compulsory excursions for the Germans in concentration camps where Jews were killed.
2018-01-21 15:04
You lost against what? So you confirm you "vatnik" or what? Only truth
2018-01-20 01:17
there's a difference between "we are lost" and "we lost"...

2018-01-20 16:49

What do you think about us?
2018-01-19 13:35
about Hungary or eastern european immigrants?)
2018-01-19 13:53
The hungarians? The first thing that comes to my mind is "lots of famous pornstars!" :D But then again, we have a lot of these, too. For me personally the other things are: unlearnable alien language and magnificent Tokaji wine. Great football team from 50's and some great chess players as well. But, to be honest, except for those who live near the border we... don't think about Hungary much at all. Not too much connection, on average we share more with slavic countries.
2018-01-19 13:54
Does Crimea incident with Russia affect daily life in Ukraine ?
2018-01-19 13:39
The level of life fell, as well as the currency because we had 2 out of the top 3 richest regions taken from us.
2018-01-19 14:07
In a way. My city (Odessa) actual profits from it because we now get even more tourists in summer who have previously visited Crimea. For people who migrated out of Crimea from under russian occupation there are a lot of bureaucratic issues, for them it's very annoying to deal with.

Here in Brazil we have a giant csgo club called gamersclub, which has tournaments for players, with amateur tier, main tier, and pro tier, these tournaments help some good players to grow up in the csgo scene, i dont know if there in Ukraine they have a csgo club similar to ours.
2018-01-19 14:10
We have starladder, but they are all about the money, unfortunately Not many of those tournaments going on nowadays. And it’s only in Kiev, so players from everywhere else have to either move here for the tournaments or give up on their dreams (which most people do...)
2018-01-19 14:14
Actually we have 2 top clubs for gamers in the World... Kiev CYBERSPORT Arena and Donbass CYBERSPORT Arena. The second is closed cuz of war probably.

Ukrainian has 62% common lexic with russian, 68% with serbian, 70% with Polish and 84% with Bilorusian. In terms of phonetic and grammar Ukrainian has from 22 to 29 common features with Polish, Slovakian and Czech langauges, with 'russian' only 11. Ukrainian language is direct descendant of Kyivan Rus live spoken language

cuz he damn stupid or just dont care about natioanl dignity and so on, only money need
2018-01-19 19:07
Sheva was a great player. As a person he's, quite simply, dumb as a doornail. He's a completely incompetent manager (no wonder, that requires intelligence which he simply does not possess) and an unpleasant person to deal with in real life (I know people - footballers - who had interactions with him IRL. They were very unimpressed on a personal level. For example: back when he was a Milan player he came to Dynamo Kiev's training ground to interact with Dynamo's youth team. He somehow managed to piss off young players (a lot of whom have worshipped him!!!) so much that some didn't even want to have photos alongside him. The guy was just a complete douche and behaved like an entitled 16 y.o. brat.). There's a wealth of videos on youtube with him saying (or, rather, trying to simulate some coherent thought process through rather pathetic attemps at communication) absolutely dumb shit.

There's lots of Romanians in south-western part of Ukraine and many of them are gypsies that like to lie/cheat and just steal money from you. Many of them are nomadic people an travel and just ask for money instead of working. Not saying all of them are like that but many of them are.
2018-01-19 19:09
My team lead is Romanian and he's awesome. Also many other Romanians working in my company, all of them seem to be cool.
2018-01-20 17:23
What's your opinion about Pilsudski.
2018-01-19 20:45
He is one of the guilty in the conflict that happend between Ukrainian and Polish citizens of Second Polish Republic in 1930-1946.
2018-01-19 20:58
Could you expalin me closer? I'd like to hear from Ukrainian point of view.
2018-01-19 21:41
Well? as I mentioned those sad events occured between Ukrainian and Polish citizens of Second Polish Republic. Not between Ukraine as state and Poland. Ukraine declared its independence in 1918 and lost it in 1921 when was occupied by Poland and moscovia. And then on Polish side repressions of Ukrainins began. Its called polonization, also pacification. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacification_of_Uk.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polonization. These events and also hard destiny of Ukrainians under soviets - genocide made by moscovw - Holodomor led to increasing of cruelty of Ukrainians. Majority of them were ddisparated. Ofc also ww2 made big influence, also repeatedly provocations of soviets and Germans in order to exacerbate relations between Ukrainians and Polaks took place.
2018-01-19 22:01
It was between the polish government* and the polish police *and ukrainians. That’s the main problem with your pov... you always generalize as if polish peasants were somehow faulty for those acts of violence. It just isn't true. Also, please stop calling the USSR “moscovia”. It triggers me every time.
2018-01-20 00:14
One of the most prolific Polish national leaders in all of history. Suffice to say: had he been alive, the WW2 might have turned out to be a very, very different affair altogether.

No :D I actually thought of going there soon, though It seems like it’s really beautiful there and the radiation mostly disappeared. There are tons of tourist tours around Chernobyl nowadays (mostly for rich europeans).
2018-01-20 00:10
"disappeared"

I’m no physician. But the radiation levels drastically changed lately, maybe because of the huge dome we recently built around the old one, I honestly don't know. I had a solid C on physics at school... never understood a thing ;D

Well, I could’ve used a bit of those radiophysics while writing my first comment regarding Chernobyl :D

Is the ukrainian language closer to polish or russian?
2018-01-20 01:03
Hmmmm it's somewhere in-between I would say.
2018-01-20 01:13
Ukrainian has 62% common lexic with russian, 68% with serbian, 70% with Polish and 84% with Bilorusian. In terms of phonetic and grammar Ukrainian has from 22 to 29 common features with Polish, Slovakian and Czech langauges, with 'russian' only 11. Ukrainian language is direct descendant of Kyivan Rus live spoken language.
2018-01-20 16:20
But a lot of Ukrainians know Russian?
2018-01-21 09:50
99%, probably #402
2018-01-21 10:19
Bullshit! You are just dumb or you just kremlin-bot! There is huge a number of Ukrainians specialy young who almost dont know damn russian! More and more stories from Ukrainian schools when parents officialy refuse their childs to learn russian!
2018-01-21 10:46
almost all Ukrainians know Russian, but only a few Russians know Ukrainian :D it is cuz of USSR (Soviet Union).

Why is Ukraine so shit? Cold weather, cold people, stinky people, chernobyl, etc?
2018-01-20 15:26
Weather isn't actually cold... we’re in the moderate climate zone so it’s exactly the perfectly balanced climate. Some people here are cold because of the soviet past and the shit they have to go through every day. I disagree with the “stinky” part, lol. Chernobyl didn't even happen during Ukraine’s independence...

are universities free or paid in ukraine? and how good is the education system there?
2018-01-20 17:06
I am not the right person to answer this since I studied abroad.

if you don't know answer you don't need to taping everything that in your head
2018-01-20 18:18
I still can’t understand what you’ve been trying to tell me this whole time... you should definetly develop your English skills. All I did was kindly ask you to stop responding because you were clearly not being serious in a thread that was originally supposted to be a serious thread made in order to have people know more about Ukraine and it’s people.
2018-01-20 18:24
"you should" thx for giving me advice i glad to hear it from you, i dont know how i will live without your advice "clearly not being serious in" haHAA, now you saying quite a different thought what you did yesterday i'm not even regret now about that letter that i sent you yesterday, you pretty deserved it

Different unis/faculties have some limited number of free spots, so there's a contest, which is based on your school final exam points. Free spots are usually 60-80% of total number so it's easy to get in. But if you failed an exam or didn't pass thru contest you can pay for studies, which isn't expensive ($500-$2k/year). Educational system here is pure shit tho, that's why many people study abroad (mostly Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic). I'm getting bachelor's in Computer Sciences in half a year, and uni gave me nothing of what I know now. Wanted to study in Czech Republic for master's but found a decent job here already.

i see... to be honest that system that rewards people with high grades is quite interesting because it encourage them to show that they deserve to get that free spot. here in Argentina education is totally free with the exception of doctorates and masteries after college but the education is pretty shit before college so college students work their ass off when they enter a career. haha

How do you perceive The Czech republic? What Ukrainians generally think about it? Are there mass/frequent job offers from The Czech republic in the employment agencies?
2018-01-20 19:00
Mostly people here think of the Czech Republic as something like “Poland v2” because it’s into Poland and the Czech Republic that people leave for work and studies most often. There are lot’s dirty work for ukrainians to do in the Czech Republic so yeah, there defintely is a huge flow of job offers from the Czech Republic, with some agencies even willing to pay for transfer into the country. But the job’s are mostly awful and the payment is percisely below average.

Do alot of people speak russian in ukraine? Because there's a lot of ukrainian players playing with russian players.
2018-01-20 19:03
Mostly everyone. The only cities where there’s a ukrainian speaking majority are some of the western ones. The east has barely any ukrainian speakers and middle Ukraine is 50-50. I used to live in Donetsk but moved to Kiev in 2014, I still can’t get used to speaking ukrainian (when someone speaks ukrainian to you it’s kind of unkind to respond in russian).

But like, for example, is the news and television, media in general, in russian or Ukrainian?
2018-01-20 19:14
Everything is in ukrainian, russian is only a spoken language and most people never even studied it and don't know the basic grammar.
2018-01-20 19:16
You cant say "russian is spoken" cuz its not so. What a disgrace.
2018-01-21 00:26
What the hell are you even talking about that this point? Evaluate, please.
2018-01-21 07:34
Why you give fake info? Not less than 50% of Ukrainians speak Ukrainian + about not less than 20-30 speak surjik - mix. Also more and more russian-speaking switch to Ukrainian and actualy want to forget russian. Dont judje by yourself and your circle of communication. Also not only in West people speak Ukrainian. Even on East. A lot of east Ukrainians realy start speaking Ukrainian.
2018-01-21 00:23
I am from the east, are you actually trying to tell a person from there how it is? That is just plain stupid. My info is not in any way fake, I’ve been all over Ukraine and I’m judging by what I’ve seen. It’s not my “circle of communication”. Also, I had “surjik” put into ukrainian so that the numbers aren't too low. In Donetsk - 100% of the people speak russian. Not even surjik. In central Ukraine - 15% ukrainian, 35% surjik Some of the west - 50% surjik, 30% ukrainian, 20% russian Those are the number’s I’ve seen. I honestly dont even care about what you’re trying to prove here, you should just stop living in an illusion, because the thing’s you’re saying are starting to get absurd. “Also more and more russian-speaking switch to Ukrainian and actualy want to forget russian.” - just utter bullshit. I don't know a single person that openly said “I am switching to ukrainian and want to forget russian”, - nobody does that. “Even on East. A lot of east Ukrainians realy start speaking Ukrainian.” - people that live on the east no longer even have anything in ukrainian and don't study it in schools! What the hell are you talking about? If you mean those who moved - then yes, my self included, but not a single person speaks ukrainian or even surjik in east Ukraine right now.
2018-01-21 07:26
I live in Kharkiv since 1989. Bullshit is mostly all you said now. If you personaly dont know about many stories of people who switching from damn russian to Ukrainian it doesnt mean its not happening! And things like those you said are getting more and more absurd and even disgraceful on fact! You are defenetly not the right person to tell about Ukraine.
2018-01-21 10:20
So who’s the right person? A nationalist that lives in illusions where everyone hates russian people to the point where people try to forget their language? I know people who completely switch to ukrainian but it’s solely because of their person preferences and has nothing to do with politics and shit. Kharkiv isn't what I ment by “eastern Ukraine” - it’s Donetsk and Luhansk. Kharkiv (I’ve been there several times) has the same criteria as centeral Ukraine, so does Zaporizh’a. Also, just so that you know, I tend to speak ukrainian more with people who I met in Kiev because I love the language and I love this country. But what I do hate is when people justify their love with hate towards another country (“I SPEAK UKRAINIAN CUZ RUSSIAN IS IMPERIALIST LANGUAGE”. It just isn't right. You can love a country and try to make it better while still speaking a different language and not having blind support for anything a countrie’s history has to offer. You can still respect a countrie’s people, even if you are at (kind of) a war with that country. It weren't the people who did those thing’s, it was the government. I hate vatniks and pro - russian retards, but I still respect russian people. I mostly speak russian and don't agree with everything in my country or everything that was in my country, but I do still love it with my whole heart. If you disagree with me - go ahead, spread the hate speech and make people think every person in our country is like you. I guarantee that I won’t be speaking against you, because I respect you as a fellow ukrainian. But I will stand against what you say, because I have faith in our nation and our nation’s people.
2018-01-21 10:38
Not agree at all. So called 'russian-speaking' Ukrainians dont exist. It is kremlin`s politic technology. Kremlin always used russian language as weapon. After moscovia occupied Ukraine-Rus in 18 century moscovits began politic of rusification. There are a lot of historical fact, documents that evidence about numerous attempts of Kremlin to completly destroy Ukrainian language = Ukrainian identity. Holodomor was also about it when millions of Ukrainians= Ukrainian-speaking people were killed by kremlin. This is getting really ridiculous. Learn history. And dont say about my 'hate speech". I dont hate even complete imrerial russians. I understand they are ill. And we should help them becoming real Ukraine - not hybrid 'little russia'. I also respect you but, please be careful with things you say.
2018-01-21 11:15
+1 good words. but this nationalist will not understand them probably :D
2018-01-21 15:51
Is Ukraine worth visiting? I'm half Ukrainian and I've always been curious about what it's like down there? Do people speak english or would it be better to learn some basic ukrainian/russian.
2018-01-20 19:15
Of course it is worth visiting! We have lot’s of thing’s to see because of our long (and miserable) history. It’s also absolutely beautiful here. And cheap. Most people speak or, at least, understand basic english - we study it at school as a necessary language. The only one’s who don't speak it are some sellers in small shops or simply extremely low - class people you probably won’t have to communicate with. As I said before to an other guy - if you ever come to Kiev, we could meet up and I’d show you around the city.
2018-01-20 19:21
your view on Estonia/Estonians? I kind of sympathize with you in a sense, because of our eastern neighbour and all that. I remember many schools in my city gathered money to send to Ukraine back in 2014-15. I really hope things get better there.
2018-01-20 19:16
I like estonians. You guys are mostly kind and nice but kind of clumsy and, well, braked, I guess :D That is really nice of yours to be sending aid to us, but I’ll have to disappoint you, because that money probably went into the pocket of a politician, like any other aid we receive. Xd Thank you for the good words.

2018-01-21 09:43
From our mass media we can hear that a lot of Serbians support russia`s agressive politic. Is it correct? Also there are facts, not just assumption that fairly large number of Serbian mercenaries fight on proxy-russian side against Ukraine on Donbas. Many Ukrainians know about it and as you can guess they/ we dont like such Serbians very mildly saying. But we like all people in the world who dont want to take our lands including Serbians also. We wish long strong peace on whole Balkan region.

Why wouldn't we? It's not that far away and we are in the same timezone. My friend has moved to Finland and I visited him and got to know some Finnish people whom I really liked. Generally there is a stereotype (rooting from USSR) that Finns are sluggish (same as Estonians). I guess it can also be interpreted as chill. Only Mass media shows for people, that USA is the biggest our friend. EU have problems, so we "moving to America", like we want to be 51th state. You know what mass media talks. I really know, that any countries do not need us. And it's a scam with people to talk bullshit on media. Corruption. False. Every new president is a traitor to the people. This is so sad. We have to handle our problems without any other outer effect - the only way to be first world country.

2018-01-21 21:01
they built the confinement last year so that radiation level has dropped and it'll be good for hundred years. Until that time we have to figure out what to do with the waste. As to affect... my chem teacher at school told about strontium in our bones(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strontium-90) and overall they say that health of subsequent generations worsened. But Chernobyl is only being brought up on 26th of April.
