I stopped cheering after a while
Brazil Derzaum
SK playing very poorly, its just expected to lose if you're playing like that. Also, Felps was worse than expected, not his fault but Valve's. Also, C9 Played very good, gg.

I used to think they should let them play but then NiKo said that if a player loses in qualifier he can just move to another team and play again so it makes sense

yes thats the only reason behind this rule, but IMT didnt even played the qualifier, so its kinda retarded to not let boltz play blocking players who played the qualifier its 100% ok

No, the legends status went with KnG, Hen1 and Lucas1 to 100t. That's why people were pissed that Steel and Boltz got screwed
2018-01-28 04:25
i know you 're not that retarded, but since kng and thw twins left IMT, they took the major spot with them, leaving boltz and steel(still playing for IMT) with no major spot, so no...you're wrong.

lol you're even using the same emoji as thorin luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul it explains a lot THE LEGEND STATUS REMAINS WITH THE CORE OF THE TEAM , NOT ALL THE PLAYERS YOU FUCKIN RETARDED THE TWINS LEFT WITH KNG, SO THEY WERE 3, THEY LEFT WITH THE LEGEND STATUS, THATS THE REASON WHY 100T WAS GOING TO THE MAJOR AND MOTHERFUCKING BOLTZ PLAYED THE REGIONAL QUALIFIER WITH IMT DUMBFUCK

why is this retarded? this rule have existed for 5 years now.. Sk knew about it.

because I think its retarded. It has nothing to do with SK, that MY OPINION.
2018-01-28 17:34
I'd agree if it was a qualifier itself (new challengers stage), but they played the regional qualifier. And it's mostly due to eleagues rule book, wich has rules no other event has
2018-01-28 03:44
If they can get on a better team that wants them to play for them why is that bad? Its a dumb rule completely IMO, but its an especially big problem now because the beginning of minor qualifiers is like 3 months before the major. That means no roster changes for like 3 months before the major at least which is too long.
2018-01-28 04:07

C9 didn't play well at all, SK just played like shit. A couple lucky stacks and huge blunders by SK and that was it. SK were never going to win playing like that, no matter what team they came up against. The finals are going to be shit. fnatic would've won.

They were pretty good on mirage though
2018-01-28 03:41
How would fnatic win, if they lost to a team that "were never going to win"?
2018-01-28 03:41

SK won by ghosting, had played two BO3s at the point of facing C9 and look at the rounds SK played against fnatic. The same mistakes were present against C9. SK should've lost to fnatic but got bailed the fuck out by crowd ghosting and deservedly lost to C9. fnatic have a better structure in comparison to this SK with felps (probably to the slight differentials with the roles compared to normal) and are a lot smarter with more of their rounds. SK were being outplayed by fnatic time and time again.

People are talking about the ghosting matter but no one knows FOR SURE if they were really benefited by it, other than that, i agree with you. Fnatic had better chances against c9 and Faze
2018-01-28 03:51

If SK did benefit, so did C9 so that balances it out between the two teams. dennis and many other pros have confirmed that ghosting is very much possible though, couple that with the clip where FalleN "knew" where JW was and there's a pretty much undisputed case. fnatic got fucked over really because SK misplayed so many crucial rounds and still brawled through. Would've loved a fnatic - Na'Vi final. It's not the fault of the team at all but the organisers themselves for not using soundproof booths. Hopefully they are at every single tournament with a crowd, just to prevent this from happening again. I know IEM used the booths and they have had some of the best tournaments for me (Kato '16 I'm looking at you)
2018-01-28 03:59
Do you have a clip of the ghosting, I didn't catch that. Was some "ghosting" in the c9 - sk but for c9. (ex skadoodle holding crosshair over fer cbble drop-window)

The ghosting was all over hltv for ages following the match against fnatic. FalleN got bailed out at jungle and got the kill onto JW at window because crowd called it out, happened a couple times outside of that although they weren't as important rounds. Here's the thread: hltv.org/forums/threads/1678304/crowd-gh..

Yeah, that's just sad. Wouldn't use it against SK though, rather against Eleague. Soundproof booths would fix that problem. I don't really get why they don't use them.

Sometimes a team plays bad because of what their opponents do. In this case I think that is what happened. C9 threw the CSGO meta book out the window and brought a whole new brand of CSGO that is rarely seen and was impossible to predict. I think the game plan and calls on the C9 side were what caused SK to appear to play bad.
2018-01-28 03:38

They played the same way against G2, no? Can you explain this "new brand of CSGO"? For me it looked like fast paced focus on basic cs. Ex focus on setting up trades, and playing as a unit. I don't know shit tho.

They were just constantly doing things that aren't usually done in tier 1 pro CSGO. It's hard to explain without pointing out specific examples. For instance, the last round on Inferno 3 guys pushing Fallen through the smoke and taking construction. Usually the safe play is to get on site, clear it, plant the bomb, and take up after plant positions. Rarely would a team decide in that situation to push the smoke like that. There were many cases where they were doing things like that and it made them hard to predict and was causing SK to make some bad calls on rotations and such. But what was most amazing about it is it wasn't all just yolo plays but were well coordinated and they were setup for trades, using pop flashes, etc. So while their plays were often unconventional, they were executed well. Like I said though, it's hard to explain in detail without pointing out each example in the many rounds they won by doing things a bit different. It was very exciting to watch though.

Indeed fun to watch.
2018-01-28 04:00
I think their brand of CS seems very trivial and stupid, but in reality, it's very smart. For example, as hazed pointed out, c9 took arch control on Inferno, and smoked the wrap. They left wrap, and SK retook it, thinking it would be a B hit. then c9 walked up wrap to A site and won the round that way. The 3-pushing through CT smoke was an extremely smart call. They knew FALLEN was awping there. They knew, at best, he could get 1 player, then would die. They executed it quickly enough that nobody could be rotated in to CT fast enough to save FALLEN. Maybe it's because I'm a Cloud9 fan, but everything they do seems to be structured or have some underlying plan behind it, which is nice to see after the shitty puggy style they've used for years.
