cricket is boring anyway. British ruled subcontinent for 200 years and made this boring sports popular
2018-02-11 15:15
But the viewcount is rather interesting. Cricket stadiums can get a 100K people just in the stadium and broadcasting views go upwards of 20mils every T1 match

12- are those minterms or maxterms in the truth table ?
2018-02-11 14:42
yes
2018-02-11 14:42
12-a although i don't understand the question im feeling the truth table gives the value of function M at various values of ABC but still can't confirm without the question. If that's the case the ans is A

12 is which logical expression corresponds to the truth table below

Are there any instructions about there being bubbled inputs or availability of compliments ?

can you explain what en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directed_acyclic_g.. is? i read but understand nothing

I didn't open the link but is it askin for DAG ? directed acyclic graph ?
2018-02-11 14:44
#16
 |
Other VladimirLucas
yes
2018-02-11 14:44
Okay ill try to explain in layman terms DAG is a graph but it has directions on edges from one vertex to another. But theres a constraint - there should be no cycle. This embarks its use in various applications in resolving conflicts. Example - dag is used to find conflicting transactions in transaction management, if theres a cycle from one transaction to another, they are not conflict serializable. Another use is in concurrency management and deadlock management. The nodes are the processes and the edges are the resource allocations to the processes. If theres a cycle in resource alloc dag , there exists a deadlock and concurrency is not maintained. Topological sort ( DFS traversal ) of a DAG gives lexicographical sequence of events
2018-02-11 14:52
hmmm okay thanks for effort
2018-02-11 16:00
did u still not get it or wut if you can point out what you dont understand in DAG ill be happy to help
2018-02-11 17:24
it's too advanced for me, what is a graph?
2018-02-11 17:25
a graph is just a representation of discreet objects where the nodes or vertices are the objects and edges are the relationships b/w objects Make a central Node , name it as SK , throw 5 edges out of it and end those in respective nodes , give the nodes the folln names - fallen fer boltz taco coldzera. you now have a graph that shows the TEAM and its MEMBERS

you can go from A to B, but never can go B to A i assume you are asking this bcs of iota
2018-02-11 21:41
Thats a wrong definition. We can go from b to a as long as there isn't any cycle
2018-02-12 04:18
if you can go b to a then there is cycle? maybe i word it wrongly, this is more like it: if you can go A to B than you can never can go B to A
2018-02-12 19:11
Yes this is fine but what you said earlier was wrong. Like you said you can go from a to b but not b to a What if initially i went from B to A that is fine and allowed but acc to your definition you prohibited going from b to a all the way

Tide pods will suffice. Take a beer mug, dissolve a tidepod in it using any solvent (water, vodka , anything but don't use anything that has sugar in it ex soda/coke/pepsi etc) get a bulk of cleaning tissues or gabriel "twoface" toileto-paper and wipe the fetuses with mild pressure. They should abort fine.

what your thoughts on the lambda cube (type theory) i think that is very interesting that a theory of computation is being used for aid scientific research (i read that somewhere, couldn't find rn). and could you give a simple demonstration of how that is used to create ADT in general purpose languages like java and python. and also how that relates with covariance and contra-variance in types and subtypes.

CSGO isn't smooth. game is random, sometimes its quite responsive but when you connect to different server for the next game its completely sluggish and your movement becomes shit bullets dont register so on so forth. This been happening for many many years. Game works well for an hour or so after a fresh install, but goes back to shit after a while. it is essential problem that happens to many people but not to everyone as some people have smooth game play at all times. this problem exists since 2009 or so and there are so many people that were trying to solve it but no success, if you solve this i will give you a knife skin .
2018-02-11 15:16
I dont want skins i solve problems just cuz im bored. I need info , lets start with specs.

specs dont matter, ive changed multiple computers, problem is still there. People are now thinking that its a electricity grounding issue, but that is a bit absurdic to me . github.com/ValveSoftware/halflife/issues.. this topic is up since 2013 and noone managed to solve. all the solutions were temoprarily and the sluggish laggy choppy gameplay would always comeback.

2018-02-11 16:01
Nah it wont be proved. Its a problem from infinite infinity set. You can't be sure about the results of problems of these sets. The most basicest prob. How many numbers are there. Prolly infinite but we dont know . Therefore the result is valid till 4x10^18 but not after that. Even if we put time n processing power on it we will get finite results but the no of numbers are infinite.

It does Converge.
2018-02-11 18:48
Yeah negative pow , If it was positive it doesn't converge
2018-02-11 19:13
OP's "demonstration" is extremely sloppy, so let me add this A(n)=sum(exp(-n),n,1,inf) a(n)=A(n)-A(n-1)= exp(-n) lim (a(n),n->inf) = 0 Thus A(n) converges

Nt but youre using limit test not integral test Still there are more than one ways to solve a convergence problem but he explicitly asked for integral test

Are u fluent in java? Or atleast give me an algorithm for this task (Method deciphers given message based on the dictionary. * * The message consists of a series of numbers, which point to a letter's * index location in the dictionary. e.g. with a dictionary of "abcd" and * message of "3021" the deciphered message would be "dacb". * * If the index of the letter is comprised of 2 or more numbers, the message will * read as those numbers separated by plus signs. e.g. 1+3 => 13 ; 1+2+3 => 123. * * For every "$" symbol that appears in the message, the next * letter must be converted to upper case. * * Any other symbols appearing in the message should be added to the * deciphered message untouched. (("abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz", "$741+11+11+4 2+21+41+71+13!")); // => Hello world! (("onetw", "$012, 340")); // => One, two
2018-02-11 16:12
i have plenty of ideas, using 2 stacks and a buffer or if theres a huge constraint on time and space complexity ill use a queue of characters and an integer variable counter and a stack dictionary DECIPHER ( deciphers given message based on dictionary ) 0. Push Dictionary to Stack S 2. Enqueue the contents of input string to Queue Q. 3. Dequeue and store into buffer . 4. BEGIN : buffer = Dequeue(Q) value=Peep(S,buffer) if buffer == $ { buffer = Dequeue(Q) uppercase_print(value) } else print(value) END if FRONT(Q)==REAR(Q) i hope you know how stacks and queues work , what are peep , push , enqueue and dequeue operations also this has time complexity of O(n)
2018-02-11 17:08
i cracked this in 2 mins just typing on a 4" phone is a difficult task. you can ask if you have any doubts
2018-02-11 17:08
ty for your resposne. To be honest, i have no clue what stacks and queues are, but gonna try to find out.It is only 2nd lesson in java so i think this task can be done less complicated , using loop and string operations.
2018-02-11 18:07
Its okay that you are learning using problems and i did not know what level of an answer you were expecting, yes it can be done using loops and strings but here's an advice. Try to learn more of methods , algorithms and data structures instead of going deep into a programming language. This is because a problem can be solved in many ways but people who provide the most optimum solution will be successful. Now if you use strings and loops , your both time and space complexity will increase, what that means is your program will run slow and it will take more ram and resources to run. There are ways to minimize these and id highly advice you to learn these methods because in real world you'll be getting amazing jobs if you have those skills , and if you're just a programmer, you'll be an average joe. Speaking from experience in the valley

Hey, it would be great if you could help me, see the pic below as I couldn't submit it as a message here imgur.com/a/yDYd8

Actually you have created an array of those dice faces. Anyways You can use typecasting . Typecast that symbol into float or integer and record its value. Then use if conditions if the resulting dices have those values or not. If they have , add those values. This is the easiest method but its a brute force strategy youll have to check for all possibilities

Thanks :)

Can u write for me hanoi's tower in C#?
2018-02-12 10:15
Lmr , lrm , mlr
2018-02-12 17:07
If you dont get the lmr lrm mlr thing i can write it on a piece of paper and show you how its done

Y so
2018-02-12 19:42
Give a value for n so that the series (1/(1^n)) + (1/(2^n))... equals 0... Jk i have got a question in set theory though... The question goes like this(lowercase x is cartesian product): Let X be a subset of A, Y be a subset of B. Prove that C(X x Y) = A x C(Y) union C(X) x B I really dont understand this at all, some help would be helpful:)
2018-02-12 17:37
I don't understand the representation. What do you mean by C(Y) Is it some kinda closure or what
2018-02-12 19:48
Oh it means a complement
2018-02-12 20:07
Oh that changes everything

i.imgur.com/H5iXXOh.jpg Heres a lil soln. As sets are closed under set operations it will be true for all sets

Sorry for the handwriting its too cold here

Haha thanks a lot man u just saved my ass in topology, this was due weeks ago and I know fuck all haha. Cheers mate :)
2018-02-12 22:16
What education do u have in cs/math, u obviously know ur stuff really well? :)
2018-02-12 22:17
I have a dual degree in computer science and electrical engineering - 3.9 gpa from UCDavis , class of 2006-10 ( valens , c9 coach was my classmate ) and a few local achievements in math :))
2018-02-13 06:58
Damn that's some impressive stuff. What would u say is harder, electrical engineering or cs?
2018-02-13 06:59
Learning electrical engineering is kinda tough over cs, but if you talk about problem solving. CS is wayyyy difficult. Lets say electrical engineering problems will have a definite answer, but cs problems there will be scope of improvement over your current answer. Also cs takes a lot of creativity and thinking, you can say at some point cs becomes art instead of science .
2018-02-13 07:04
Yeah, I find that the beauty of cs; it's not necessarily a rigorous subject in a sense that if u solved something this way, chances are someone else found a better and different way. The math in cs is way beyond me tho I'll just stick to calculus :)
2018-02-13 07:13
math in cs is easier than continuous math but its wayy too logical. i mean if you are good in logics you can do it with ease but theoretical continuous math is more technique and formula based. iguess some people find that kinda math easy but i dont , im a dyslexic person i cant do that math unfortunately
2018-02-13 09:34
what about chemistry?
2018-02-13 06:57
Can try but not too advanced stuff.

When talking about discrete ruin theory, what's the recursive formula for phi(Greek letter, also known as ruin probability) in time moment 0?
2018-02-13 07:37
thanks but ruin theory is out of my limits , i havent done a phd in discreet probability but as per my knowledge you can find possion equation and then using the formula of "rth moments around mean ( here lambda )" you can substitute t=0 . i may be wrong but as i said this is +4 level query you hef oreo

Well that was a trick question, because exact formulas for the finite time ruin probabilities are known in the Brownian motion, or compound Poisson model with exponential claim distribution, and some extremely specific cases, but in a discrete time model with discrete claim distribution there are specific algorithms and recursive formulas, but all that is more less only approximate because of assumptions about premium rate and claims.
2018-02-13 10:14
Yeah kinda figured .. but i haven't researched deeply in possions distribution lest away ruins , i have heard about this tho because one of my fellows in masters was trying to prove the efficiency in some modified routing algorithm which had to do with finding the probability of one node trying to access the network that fell under this category. Nice to see someone like you here. And nice name btw.

Ouh sounds interesting, i don't have that deep of understanding in computers so hard to comment. You too. Thanks, my name kinda fits doesn't it? :d
2018-02-13 15:20
It does of course. And yes if you have any interesting problem or riddle in discreet math do share it with me i like solving problems in my spare time ;) And yeah, how about my name, doesn't it fit the general hltv norms ?

Hard to say, got my masters in acturial mathematics and now i spend my time learning physics, so hard to think about problems... I'd say it works perfectly :d

Environment, I suppose. I only learnt C for now, and going to learn more, if necessary.
2018-02-14 08:56
if you know or have any experience in software development ( a game is also an interactive software ) a software in its dev phase has to follow a lot of phases namely 1. req analysis 2. design 3. code 4. test 5. maintain/update so if youre talking about this DESIGN phase where you convert your on paper requirements and logical schema into a software skeleton then you need some software design tools like Rational Rose , dotNET, Eclipse etc if you have a skeleton already up and now you wanna code on your lines then you need something like Sharp Desktop or eclipse itself. also that all depends on your platform. some things are easy on windows, others on mac and some on linux. it all depends
