Yeaaah man! fuck facebook and anything that is new!! let's totally change our opinions from before when we wanted eSports to be a bigger thing and then when ESL is doing that such thing, let's change our minds, because FUCK change!!
2018-02-13 14:09
mad burger who thinks facebook is a good alternative OMEGALUL
2018-02-13 14:12
i never said its a good alternative, but why boycott facebook when this is a chance for new exposure to the esports scene? Eleague does it by bringing the show to live TV, now ESL is trying something to do the same, except differently, and people are complaining?!

It's good to see someone with a brain here. If you want exposure twitch is not the best option, making it trend on facebook or youtube will get people that usually don't watch any matches to actually watch them for a change. having it on facebook only might be a problem tho, probably due to their chat.
2018-02-13 14:22
True, and with the chat thing, it will probably improve. Facebook is seeing this as an opportunity to make their site better since they want to move into esports in general instead of just ESL
2018-02-13 14:23
"Eleague does it by bringing the show to live TV" yeah but Eleague does it the nice way: they bring the show to TV to millions of people and you can still watch the match on Twitch but ESl on the other hand brings it to fucking facebook only. and do you really think esl is streaming it on facebook because they want to exposure the esport scene? the only reason they stream it on facebook is because facebook gave them a shit ton of money to stream the matches on their site
2018-02-13 14:25
Well yeah obviously ESL is doing it for the money but I am saying that it is also a way to expose more people to the esports scene. Trust me there's still going to be at least 10,000 people watching the matches which is normal for an online pro league match. The few people that are so mad of this facebook switch that they will boycott it will just be replaced by the new facebook viewers that just see the stream.

you do realise with more money, they can make better and more appealing events, and more events at that? and yeah, the tournaments you love to watch also needs to make money, you want all the reward but do nothing to deserve it
2018-02-13 14:27
"and yeah, the tournaments you love to watch also needs to make money, you want all the reward but do nothing to deserve it" you didn't get my point: burger wrote: "Eleague does it by bringing the show to live TV, now ESL is trying something to do the same, except differently, and people are complaining?!" my point was that esl doesn't stream on facebook because they want to exposure the esport scene but because they got a shit ton of money from facebook and i never said that it's bad that they want money, because everyone needs money to live

but it's the same for eleague tho? you think they won't make a fuckton of money for getting exclusive content only for tv? they might make more people watch cs, but facebook has 3billion accounts, usa has only 340mil ppl.
2018-02-14 22:38

2018-02-13 14:12

Facebook stream will be 1080p 60 fps and you can change the quality to lower as well.
2018-02-13 14:14
Facebook will be far better than twitch, I love to see some new alternatives
2018-02-13 15:13

TBH: Those fucken online leagues suck in as much as the teams obviously don't care as much. I think ESL should have looked into alternatives more but they chose to stick with this already unpopular format. Its their fucking fault for making whack business decisions. (btw am gonna watch today)
2018-02-13 15:19
how is it whack let's say NFL choice ESPN to show Monday night games they do so because they get 2.1b which means players and people involved get paid more and league doesn't lose money

Yeah but they wouldn't play online on XBOXes right? They would play proper American Football (brainless sport btw) but ESL teams play online CS (sux).

people so afraid of change. I was apprehensive initially but it really will change the landscape bringing huge investment and opportunities to ESL allowing for expansion of esports, these businesses are operating at a huge loss and need to make money somehow. This will inevitably lead to views falling.
2018-02-13 15:26
Some analysts on Wall Street have been making the argument that Facebook has plateaued, and their potential growth is more than limited. It is projected Facebook will lose 5-7% of 12-24 y/o users this year. Them getting into streaming (and likely to fail) to diversify their platform is another attempt to keep their stockholders happy. People should be protesting Facebook for being one of the most egregious abusers (not even close to google or twitch) of your private data...

2018-02-13 16:35
They want to make money rather than lose money organizing cs go events, twitch doesn't give money... Therefore twitch is bad, won't watch this shit platform xddd.
