i had amd for 5+ years now, i also choose amd over intel and im not sure if i wanna do this mistake again ...
2018-02-16 00:48
Why do people think that shit from 5 years ago has anything to do with shit now in regards to technology. Ryzen does gaming 90% as well as Intel stuff for a given system cost while doing everything else way better.

well many people went from AMD to Intel and theyre much more happy than beffore :/ yes there are some fps test benchmarks but for only one game i play.... i dont care about watch dogs gta etc...
2018-02-16 01:33
The guy from above has much right. AMD really started to rock hard on Intel now. They are real competitors and it shows through the quality of their equipment. You can always do a bit of research and you'll see so you do not have to trust my word for this one.

The 7700k is only worth it if you are going to overclock it. The b250 is not an overclockable board, therefore he would have to spend at least and additional $50 to get the most basic overclockable z270 motherboard there ever was.

yes i also work on my pc at home sometimes atm i have fx 4300 at 4,7 ghz gtx 770 .. i also own 144hz benq monitor and my rig is geting old.. and play csgo on it feels laggy no matter what because that cpu is weak AF now i have 430e for new mobo ram cpu
2018-02-16 01:44
well as you said you work, so it does depend what kind of work, however I'm suggesting you to go for a i5-7500, you can check differences between them and decide for yourself. Summary of what you will find is that i5-7500 is almost half the price and about 10% weaker. For example csgo you are getting 250fps with i7-7700 (its an example) with i5-7500 you would get like 220-230, on high end games the difference would not be over 10fps.

well i have too many options atm, dunno which one i should choose but back in days one of my friend recommends me amd and i was ok wtih that but after time i start hating it and was dreaming about some good intel cpu for csgo tho ;/
2018-02-16 01:56
you see the one you want to buy is expensive and if you want it pretty much purely on csgo, thats just dumb. You can get ryzen 1500x for like 150eu and have 300fps (depends on your gpu) even with ryzen 1400 and paired with like 1060 6gb, you can get solid 200-250fps which is perfect.

i have gtx 770 atm well i know but it might handle well for future aswell or i might sell it and buy another one..
2018-02-16 02:08
current ryzen cpu's will be good for the next like 10 years, just like gtx 1080ti. There are very little things to improve in considering gaming, like the next gpu's will be needed, only for the better resolution. Include that ryzen cpus have decent coolers, so you dont need to buy one.

ye the problem is i have more ways to go now, ryzen or intel, they are seems decent but you know we could say what is 20-30 fps in game i like, but we also dont know what happen to csgo in future? some shitty upgrade and ppl will change cpu's again... coz that 20 might be huge diff if you have 144hz monitor
2018-02-16 02:19
that 20 fps in difference, is not something which will have this kind of effect. You have a decent gpu pair it with decent gpu like ryzen 1500 and you will have 200~ fps, pair it with i5-7500 you will have 200~ fps, pair it with i7-7700 you will have 220-250fps. You need to realize that csgo is cpu based, but you dont need an insane cpu for it. You can get first gen i7 and have over 100fps with it

nope some people still suffer on DMS and in matches where are few smokes... i just had enough of AMD builds... i want to try intel this time can you put me together best components for 430€ ?
2018-02-16 00:54
Ryzens are nothing similar as shitty FX ones, they are fantastic, adn can be overclocked on cheap motherboards. I own one and its fantastic and cheap 220~320 DM and 300~500fps 5v5 on 160$ CPU and 70$ motherboard. pcpartpicker.com/list/xndfTH AMD build $346.78 (comes with the fantastic cooler, and can be overclocked on cheaper motherboard Equivalent intel build $386.46 (cant be overclocked, 5% better fps in games, but slightly wirse in workload pcpartpicker.com/list/rWQGBP Both will suit your gaming/workload needs

what fps are you getting in csgo? drops? i care about decent fps on maps like nuke, train... btw why is everyone recommending that 8400? its better than some i7s?
2018-02-16 01:05
Its the same performer as older i7's, and using wayyy less power, and heating wayy less, and has 2 more cores. Fantastic cpu for the price, and even better when new intel non overclock motherboards will come out soon. read comment again youtube.com/watch?v=xxWz9vZkKc4 Full dm, not even overclocked, cheaper Ryzen

you cant compare amd ryzen with amd buldozzer its a completely new arquitechture , you easily get 250+ fps on DM with ryzen with full hd. but if u want intel, go with i5 8600k, Z mobo and some ddr4.
2018-02-16 01:05
There's another good thing about Ryzen: they are easy to upgrade in the future, the socket will probably be the same for the next gens, you could even buy a better mobo now because it will last a bit longer.

Ur budget is way too low for ur needs.. I guess u already have a decent cooler, PSU and a video card? If u want to use software such as CoreDraw, Autocad, Photoshop, any video editor etc. u will need at least 6 core CPU. The cheapest choice would be the i5-8400 (as Intel is what u want to go for) - 300 euro As this CPU is 8th gen the motherboards that support it are only z370 boards which price at around 200 euro + Adding the at least 8GB of DDR4 RAM (IMO at least 16GB needed for heavy software such as those that you want to use) - 150 euro (250-300 euro for 16GB) The total of the intel platform would be at around 650-700 euro U have a 2nd choice (which I prefer) - Go for Ryzen CPU - Ryzen 5 - 1600 - 300 euro MoBo - The chepaest A320 that u can find as the CPU is not overclockable - 100 euro RAM - 8GB - 150 euro 16GB - 300 euro Total - 550 (700) euro

Well go for the 7700k - 250 euro Cheapest z170 mobo - 80-100 euro Cheapest 8GB RAM that u can find probably 100 euro 430-450 euros total :) Just above ur budget but still a nice set up for CS GO + software such as Autocad and capability to upgrade in the feature for example adding another 8GB of RAM

Well as I said above ur budget is way too low... I am trying to get the most out of it and i think i have manged to do so while going just a bit over it. U can go for 6-7 gen i5 with a proper mobo that will support high overclock and a decent cooler + 8GB of RAM and it will fit ur budget For example i5-6600k - 200 euro Cheap z170 - 80-100 euro NH-D15S - If u can fit it in ur case and if u want to overclock - 70 euro or another cooler such as the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - 30 euro (This will not allow overclocking or at least not as much as the NH-D15 but will keep the CPU cool while staying quite as well) DDR4 RAM 8GB - 100 euro 430-490 euro around the same price with the cooler but u will have to downgrade to an older gen i5 form 7th gen i7 I would say wait another month get ur next salary safe some more money and go for a nice system that will keep ur needs satisfied for the feature :)

Well I understand that u have other things to worry about. And yeah I think it would be alright if u can get a used 7700k a bit cheaper.. It is a fairly new CPU so u will not have to worry about its life span as CPUs usually last 5-10 years spend the rest on a quality board and probably take a cheap cooler for example the 212 EVO that i mentioned above But 8GB RAM and upgrade as soon as possible if u feel u need it - not required for CS GO

Well you at least won't have to worry about heating costs anymore if you get the 7700 ))
2018-02-16 16:09
Dude, i really recommend you go for 8600k. That's close to my case. I choose between 7700 and 8600k. But in my case i already have mobo for 7700. And for u its much better to buy 8600k. Z370 costs a bit more than b250 but 8600k cheaper than 7700. Also u can OC 8600k and it's faster even w/o OC.
